Abstract

The study aims at generating a product in the form of Volleyball learning materials CD with the valid and effective TGFU method for the junior high school students. The learning media has been developed by using the Adobe Flash CS 6 Professional. Then, within the conduct of the study, the Research and Development (R&D) Model proposed by Borg & Gall had been adopted with several modifications. Then, the results of the study show that the learning media belongs to the “Very Good” category according to the material expert validation with the mean score 4.38 and that the learning media belongs to the “Very Good” category according to the media expert validation with the mean score 4.23. Furthermore, the results of the limited experiment show that the learning media belongs to the “Very Good” category with the mean score 4.76. Similarly, the results of the expanded experiment show that the learning media belongs to the “Very Good” category with the mean score 4.75. In order to identify the quality and the effectiveness of the product, an operational test should be performed. The results of the operational test show that the pre-test mean score is 41.65 while the post-test mean score is 89.25. The mean score of the students has improved with the gap 47.60 points. Therefore, departing from the overall results, the TGFU method-based learning media has been valid and effective for implementation in the learning activities of Sports and Health Education for the Junior High School degree.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan produk berupa CD pembelajaran materi bola voli dengan metode TGfU untuk siswa SMP yang valid dan efektif. Media pembelajaran ini menggunakan software Adobe Flash CS6 Professional. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (RD) dari Borg Gall yang dimodifikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa menurut para ahli validasi ahli materi termasuk “Sangat baik” dengan rata-rata 4,38 dan hasil validasi ahli media termasuk “Sangat Baik” dengan rata-rata 4,23. Kualitas produk hasil uji coba kelompok kecil termasuk “Sangat baik” dengan rata-rata skor 4,76. Selanjutnya dilakukan uji coba kelompok besar dengan kualitas produk “Sangat baik” denganrata-rata 4,75. Untuk mengetahui kualitas dan efektifitas produk dilakukan uji operasional. Hasil uji tes menunjukkan rata-rata skor pretest 41,65 dan rata-rata skor posttest 89,25. Skor siswa mengalami peningkatan dengan selisih skor 47,60. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa media pembelajaran bola voli dengan metode TGfU telah valid dan efektif digunakan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran penjasorkes materi bola voli tingkat SMP. Developing volleyball learning media by using adobe flash for junior high school Abstract: The objective of this research is to produce Volleyball learning media in the form of a CD with the TGfU method for junior high school students which are valid and effective. The learning media use Adobe Flash Professional CS6. This research used Research and Development (R D) method by Borg Gall that was modified. The results show that based on the validation experts and subject matter experts they are considered "Very Good" with an average of 4.38 and the result from media expert validation is also considered "Very Good" with an average of 4.23. The quality product of the small group trial is considered "Very Good" with an average score of 4.76. A large group trial was then conducted for further trials with "Very Good" quality products with an average of 4.75. To determine the quality and effectiveness of the products, the researcher made an operational test. The test results show that the average test scores were 41.65 for the pretest and 89.25 for the post-test. Students' scores increased by a margin score of 47.60. Based on the results of this research, it can be concluded that volleyball learning media with the TGfU method are valid and effective to be used in physical education subjects for volleyball materials at the junior high school level.
