Abstract

This Community Service (PKM) activity aims to enhance the capabilities of youths at MA Hayfa Islamic Boarding School, Samarinda City, in delivering religious lectures that are systematic, communicative, and persuasive, while aligning with Islamic values and the context of Indonesia's diversity. The initiative was motivated by the observed lack of self-confidence, public speaking skills, lecture material preparation abilities, and proficiency in using digital technology for *dakwah* (religious outreach) among the youth. The implementation methods included observation and coordination, outreach, material presentation, interactive discussions, practical lecture sessions, digital technology application, mentoring, and evaluation. Participants received training on effective communication techniques, lecture material structuring, the use of communicative language, the integration of Quranic and Hadith references, and the utilization of smartphones, simple editing apps, and social media to support digital *dakwah*. The results indicate that the program was executed systematically and garnered active participation from both the school and the students. Over 80% of the participants were able to deliver lectures independently with a sound structure, communicative language, and appropriate integration of Quranic and Hadith references. The activity also boosted the youths' self-confidence, public communication skills, and readiness to become preachers who are adaptable to technological advancements. This program is expected to foster a new generation of preachers who are moderate, communicative, and tolerant, and capable of contributing to the religious and social life of the community.

Abstract

Youth constitute a strategic group for regional creative economy development; however, limited knowledge, skills, and access to information can hinder the development of entrepreneurial potential based on local creative resources. This bead-stringing accessory training initiative is closely aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically Goal 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), Goal 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals). These considerations drove the community service activity conducted in Teluk Sulaiman, Biduk-Biduk District, Berau Regency. The activity aimed to enhance the youth's knowledge, skills, creativity, and entrepreneurial insight through training in bead-stringing craftsmanship for accessory production. Bead crafting was selected due to its potential to yield aesthetically pleasing accessories that also offer opportunities for development as creative economy products. A participatory approach was employed, comprising stages such as preparation and partner coordination, material delivery, interactive discussions, demonstrations and hands-on practice, evaluation, and follow-up. The curriculum covered the importance of entrepreneurship, the nature and benefits of the craft, accessory types, bead varieties and characteristics, stringing techniques, and the development of innovative, attractive product designs. Participants not only gained theoretical knowledge but were also guided to create products through practical exercises involving material selection, color and shape combinations, bead arrangement, and design refinement. The activity's objectives included improving entrepreneurial understanding, mastering bead-stringing skills, enhancing creativity and product aesthetics, and fostering the motivation to develop bead accessories into viable business opportunities. Program sustainability is fostered through design development, quality improvement, packaging, pricing, marketing, digital promotion, and the strengthening of production groups. Consequently, this initiative is expected to serve as a stimulus for youth empowerment and the sustainable development of the local creative economy in Teluk Sulaiman, Berau Regency
