Abstract

The success of God's work and ministry carried out by the early church centered on the characteristics of the early church who were disciples of Christ. The church today needs to pay attention to the principle developed by the early church, namely, the characteristics of the disciples of Christ. This article aims to show the important characteristics of Christ's disciples through reading Acts 2: 41-47. By using the descriptive analysis method, several characteristics mentioned in the text are obtained, namely: perseverance, prayer, and unity. In conclusion, believers, congregations, or those who call themselves disciples of Christ, must have characteristics that make them different from people who only follow God as a mere religious obligation.AbstrakKeberhasilan pekerjaan Tuhan dan pelayanan yang dilakukan oleh gereja mula-mula berpusat pada karakteristik jemaat mula-mula yang adalah murid Kristus. Gereja masa kini perlu memerhatikan prinsip yang dikembangkan oleh gereja mula-mula, yakni karakteristik murid Kristus. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menunjukkan pentingnya karakteristik murid Kristus melalui pembacaan Kisah Para Rasul 2:41-47. Dengan menggunakan metode analsis deskriptif diperoleh beberapa karakteristik yang disebut pada teks tersebut, yakni: bertekun, berdoa, dan bersatu. Kesimpulannya, orang percaya, jemaat, atau yang menyebut dirinya sebagai murid Kristus, harus memiliki karakteristik yang menjadikannya berbeda dengan orang yang hanya mengikut Tuhan sebagai kewajiban agamawi belaka.

Abstract

The role of parents in fostering children's faith is very important because children are the next generation of families, churches, and nations. However, in nurturing children to grow in faith, it is not easy, because in this phase they experience many challenges so that children need to be directed in a positive direction so that they are in accordance with God's will. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive analysis method. Data collection techniques were carried out through literature and interviews. The conclusion obtained based on the study of text 2 Timothy 3: 14-17 is, the role of parents is to be ready to face the challenges of future education, focus on educational goals, become role models, and teach and hold on to the truth, remembering the teachings of true leaders.AbstrakPeranan orang tua dalam pembinaan iman anak sangatlah penting karena anak-anak adalah generasi penerus keluarga, gereja dan bangsa. Akan tetapi dalam membina anak bertumbuh dalam iman tidaklah mudah, karena pada fase ini mereka mengalami banyak tantangan sehingga anak  perlu diarahkan kearah yang positif agar sesuai dengan kehendak Tuhan. Penelitian ini meng-gunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif analisis. Teknik pe-ngumpulan data dilakukan melalui literatur dan wawancara. Kesimpulan yang diperoleh berdasarkan kajian teks 2 Timotius 3:14-17 adalah, peran orang tua adalah siap menghadapi tantangan pendidikan masa depan, fokus pada tujuan pendidikan, menjadi teladan serta mengajar dan berpegang pada kebenaran, mengingat ajaran pemimpin yang benar.

Abstract

Sunday school is an important part of church service, so it must be taken seriously. One of the preparations for teaching Sunday School is to provide learning media. The purpose of this research is to develop learning media based on the Gospel of Matthew in the learning process at Sunday School of GPdI "Sion", Tanah Miring Merauke, Papua. This research is qualitative research with a participatory approach. Based on the results of data collection, observation, and interviews, it can be concluded that the use of instructional media is very important to stimulate interest, attention, and understanding of students in learning and to facilitate teachers in learning. For this reason, the pastor of GPdI "Sion" Tanah Miring Merauke, Papua needs to facilitate teachers in using media and attending workshops about learning media.AbstrakSekolah Minggu merupakan bagian penting dalam pelayanan gereja, sehingga harus ditangani secara serius. Salah satu persiapan dalam mengajar Sekolah Minggu adalah menyediakan media pembelajaran. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan media pembelajaran berdasar-kan Injil Matius dalam proses pembelajaran di Sekolah Minggu GPdI “Sion” Tanah Miring Merauke, Papua. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan parsipatoris. Berdasarkan hasil pengumpulan data, observasi dan wawancara, maka dapat disimpulkan peng-gunaan media pembelajaran sangat penting untuk merangsang minat, perhatian dan pemahaman peserta didik dalam belajar serta memudahkan guru dalam pembelajaran. Untuk itu, gembala GPdI “Sion” Tanah Miring Merauke, Papua perlu memfasilitasi para guru dalam menggunakan media dan mengikuti workshop tetang media pembelajaran.

Abstract

In the world of education, exemplary is a big responsibility that must be carried out by a teacher in carrying out his duties as a good educator. This is very important because the teacher's example can affect all aspects of the behavior and actions of students. A good teacher can be said to be responsible when he is able to apply good qualities and characters so that students can imitate them. In applying His example, Jesus was present as a professional teacher to set a good example and deserves to be followed by His students and many people. A teacher's attitudes, methods, and actions cannot be properly evaluated unless they are in line with what Jesus taught. The purpose of this article is to develop the attitude and teaching behavior of Sunday School teachers to be like Jesus' example in serving according to the Gospel of Matthew. A qualitative approach is used with a descriptive method. It can be concluded that Jesus is the best example to follow in personality, spirituality, and relationships for the progress of the ministry of GPdI Sunday School teachers Ora Et Labora Majalaya Bandung.
