Abstract

Abstrak Ilmu Pendidikan Sosial (IPS) merupakan ilmu penelaahan atau kajian tentang masyarakat. Dalam mengkaji masyarakat, terdapat berbagai perspektif sosial, seperti kajian melalui pengajaran sejarah, geografi, ekonomi, sosiologi, antropologi, politik-pemerintahan, dan aspek psikologisosial yang disederhanakan untuk mencapai tujuan pembelajaran. Pada kenyataannya banyak siswa yang kurang bisa memahami inti dari pelajaran IPS, bahkan merasa bosan dengan pembelajaran yang didominasi dengan ceramah. Oleh karena itu, diperlukannya sebuah media pembelajaran yang menarik dalam proses pembelajaran. Salah satu media pembelajaran yang dapat diterapkan dalam pembelajaran IPS adalah media flash player. Flash player merupakan media yang berbentuk buku digital atau yang biasa disebut dengan e-book dalam pembelajaran IPS. Implementasi pembelajaran buku digital dapat berfungsi sebagai media dan sumber belajar. Penggunaan buku digital pada pembelajaran IPS adalah upaya pendidik untuk memanfaatkan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi dalam menyampaikan materi pelajaran kepada peserta didik.

Abstract

The problem experienced by elementary school children in learning Civics is the ability to understand concepts and interpret the learning they get by connecting the material taught by the teacher and related to students' experiences in real life. Therefore, it is necessary to apply Civics learning using the CTL (Contextual Teaching And Learning) learning model so that students are able to develop thinking skills to understand concepts and make sense of the learning they get by connecting the material taught by the teacher and associated with students' experiences in real life. In this regard, the research method used is data collection using literature studies with the results of learning effectiveness which depends a lot on the readiness and learning methods carried out by the students themselves, both independently and in groups.

Abstract

The background of this research is because of the difficulties experienced by the fourth grade students of MI Al-Mukhlisin in understanding thematic subjects of science content. This is evidenced by the passive activity of students and low student learning outcomes. The reason is that the implementation of the learning process is conventional and less varied. The formulation of the problem from this research, namely: (1) how is the application of the TGT model in increasing learning activities and outcomes, (2) whether the TGT model can increase student activity and learning outcomes in thematic learning of science content in class IV MI Al-Mukhlisin style material?. This research uses classroom action research. The subjects of this study were students of class IV A MI Al-Mukhlisin with a total of 24 students. From the research results, it can be seen that (1) the application of the TGT model is carried out through class presentations, group learning, games, tournaments, and awards. (2) in the application of the TGT model there is an increase in student activity and learning outcomes in each cycle. It is proven by the overall activity of the students in the first cycle reaching a percentage of 75%, while the second cycle increased by 84%. The student learning outcomes in the first cycle obtained the percentage of completeness reaching 67%, while the second cycle experienced an increase in the percentage of completeness by 87.5%. Thus, the Teams Games Tournament model can increase student activity and learning outcomes in thematic learning of science content for class IV MI AL-Mukhlisin style material.

Abstract

This study aims to develop learning device by using contextual approach in order to improve learning achievement of Primary School students. The development of learning device based on 4-D design models of Thiagarajan (1974). Learning devices was tested on 25 Students of Fourth grade B SDN 2 Driyorejo as experimental class. Meanwhile, 25 Students of Fourth grade A treated as control class. This research used pretest-posttest control group design as research method. Validation sheet and the effectiveness of learning achievement using t-test are used by researcher to obtain the validity of the development of learning devices. The results showed that the device is very valid, It is mean that the validity of the entire learning devices earn a percentage of 88.25 %. The effectiveness students’ response were very positive on >85%. The test results of students in the control class showed there are 10 students that completed the testwith percentage of 40%, mean while in experimental class; there are 21 students that completed the test with percentage of 84%. Based on the result, it can be concluded that the developed learning device by using a contextual approach are feasible and effective in order to improve learning Achievement.
