Abstract

Anxiety that is not resolved immediately in pregnant women and the inability to regulate the breathing pattern can affect the condition of the intrauterine fetus, so it must be addressed immediately. The number of pregnant women who have a gestation of more than 20 weeks at Limbangan Community Health Center is 20 people. Fetal Heart Rate (FHR) at arrival ranges from 120-160 x/minute; due to fatigue and inability to regulate breathing patterns, some pregnant women feel anxious. The solution to this problem is aimed at normalizing the DJJ by doing pregnancy exercises, prayer movements. The implementation of activities with the application of science and technology was carried out twice, on 4 September 2020 and 2 October 2020, with the target of pregnant women at the Puskesmas Limbangan Kendal Regency. The form of science and technology transfer began with a pre-test and ended with a post-test; education was delivered in an easy-to-understand method, providing material on prenatal exercise with prayer movements. All participants also immediately performed pregnancy exercises during the prayer movements according to instructions from the proposing team. In addition, fellow participants also discussed and exchanged experiences about their pregnancies. FHR for pregnant women ranges from 130-150 x/minute after the prayer movements; participants feel calmer and more comfortable because their breathing patterns are regular. The most important thing in this activity is that the mother will teach other pregnant women.

Abstract

Introduction: Nausea and vomiting that occurs in pregnant women is a normal symptom and is often found in the first trimester of pregnancy. Nausea and vomiting in pregnancy are caused by changes in the endocrine system. The incidence of nausea and vomiting that occurs in Indonesia is much greater than the incidence in the world, namely 60-80% primigravida and 40-60% multigravida. How to cope with nausea and vomiting using non-pharmacological therapy, one of which is acupressure massage. Objective: To determine the effectiveness of acupressure massage on the incidence of nausea and vomiting in first trimester pregnant women. Methods: The method in writing this article is a review of the literature contained in the database of health journals, namely Google Scholar, pubmed, text books, profiles of the Ministry of Health, and the WHO website. The selected articles are based on free full text, open access, in English and Indonesian within the last 10 years. Results: The results of a literature study through databases in health journals found a total of 7 articles on pubmed, 7 articles on Google Scoolar. In the results of the study, there was a significant effectiveness of acupressure massage on the incidence of nausea and vomiting in pregnant women in the first trimester. Conclusion: Acupressure stimulates the regulatory system and activates endocrine and neurologic mechanisms, by stimulating the hypothalamus to secrete endorphins that provide a sense of relaxation. Keywords: Acupressure; Emesis gravidarum; First trimester pregnant women

Abstract

Pregnancy in adolescents can cause serious conditions such as physical and psychological conditions. Pregnancy among adolescents in low, middle, and high income countries is a problem that occurs globally. According to Who data (2012). There are around 16 million adolescents aged 15-19 giving birth each year. Meanwhile, in low income countries there are around 14% of pregnancies out of wedlock. Pregnancy is associated with significant risk to women’s mental health, one of which is the psychological condition of the expectant mother. The minimum age for a women to get married should be 21-22 years because she is considered physically and mentally capable. Adolescent who are pregnant less than the productive age of years will have an impact on their mental conditions such as anxiety, stress and depression. This study aims to find out more about the psychological impact on teenage pregnancy with existing studies by reviewing several research articles. The research design used a literature review with sources from computerized systematic search studies (Google Scholar and Pubmed) with the last 10 years recorder from 2014-2023. There were 60 articles obtained and after conducting a proper review of the title, there were 23 with 19 national articles and 4 international articles. The criteria for finding the key to searching the literature review are “mental health” and “adolescent pregnancy”
