Abstract

Anxiety that is not resolved immediately in pregnant women and the inability to regulate the breathing pattern can affect the condition of the intrauterine fetus, so it must be addressed immediately. The number of pregnant women who have a gestation of more than 20 weeks at Limbangan Community Health Center is 20 people. Fetal Heart Rate (FHR) at arrival ranges from 120-160 x/minute; due to fatigue and inability to regulate breathing patterns, some pregnant women feel anxious. The solution to this problem is aimed at normalizing the DJJ by doing pregnancy exercises, prayer movements. The implementation of activities with the application of science and technology was carried out twice, on 4 September 2020 and 2 October 2020, with the target of pregnant women at the Puskesmas Limbangan Kendal Regency. The form of science and technology transfer began with a pre-test and ended with a post-test; education was delivered in an easy-to-understand method, providing material on prenatal exercise with prayer movements. All participants also immediately performed pregnancy exercises during the prayer movements according to instructions from the proposing team. In addition, fellow participants also discussed and exchanged experiences about their pregnancies. FHR for pregnant women ranges from 130-150 x/minute after the prayer movements; participants feel calmer and more comfortable because their breathing patterns are regular. The most important thing in this activity is that the mother will teach other pregnant women.

Abstract

Lactagogum is a drug that can increase or facilitate the production of milk. Synthetic lactagogums are not widely known and relatively expensive. This causes the need for alternative laktagogum drugs. Efforts to increase breast milk production can be done by carrying out early and routine breast care, improving breastfeeding techniques, or by consuming foods that can affect breast milk production. One of the reasons for the failure of exclusive breastfeeding is the perception of insufficient breast milk, which can be caused by physiological and psychological factors. Education is a very important factor in this life, which is why education is a very important business of all time. Increasing breast milk production can be done in various ways, one of which is increasing the intake of lactagogum. Lactagogum is a drug that can increase or facilitate the production of milk. The sample in this study were breastfeeding mothers who had babies ranging in age from 3 to 6 months spread throughout Indonesia. This study was conducted by distributing a questionnaire to assess education and the use of Lactagogue as a food to increase breast milk production. Dissemination of questionnaires can be done manually or via Google Drive links which are distributed to several regions in Indonesia. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between education and the use of laktagogums. The research results are there is a relationship between education and the use of Lactagogum. It is hoped that mothers who are in the process of breastfeeding can make efforts to increase milk production, one of which is by consuming Lactagogum.

Abstract

Fetal movement monitoring is a vital indicator of fetal health in uterus. Low knowledge among pregnant women, especially primigravida, regarding fetal movement counting can increase the risk of pregnancy complications and fetal death. This study aimed to determine the effect of counseling using leaflet media on knowledge of fetal movement counting among primigravida at PMB Fattum Tamim Syamlan Krapyak Pekalongan. This study utilized a quasi-experimental design with a pre-test and post-test approach and a control group. A total of 70 second-trimester primigravida mothers were selected through purposive sampling and divided into an intervention group (n=35) and a control group (n=35). The intervention group received counseling using leaflet media about fetal movement counting, while the control group received no intervention. Data were collected using a knowledge questionnaire and analyzed using the Chi-Square test. The findings revealed a significant increase in knowledge in the intervention group, from 17.1% in the good category during pre-test to 80.0% during post-test. Meanwhile, the control group remained predominantly in the poor knowledge category (68.6%). The Chi-Square statistical test showed a p-value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), indicating a significant effect of counseling using leaflet media on fetal movement counting knowledge among primigravida. Counseling using leaflet media is proven effective in improving primigravida knowledge about fetal movement counting. Leaflets are recommended as an educational medium in antenatal care services to increase pregnant women's awareness of fetal well-being monitoring

Abstract

Background: In children with Down syndrome, the patterns of gross and fine motor development follow the same patterns as in normal children, but developmental milestones are achieved at a later time. There are several reasons why children with Down syndrome experience delayed motor development, including cognitive factors, hypotonia, reduced muscle strength, loose joints and ligaments, and hand structure factors. Objective: To determine effective interventions in improving the development of children with Down syndrome. Research Method: Narrative review. Research Results: A review of 15 articles found that the use of trampolines, virtual reality, treadmill exercises, isokinetics, vibration, surfing, traditional Indian dance, computer-based phonics, vestibular stimulation, improvement of numerical skills, the use of picture card media, traditional games such as jamuran and engklek, and sensory integration with busy books can improve the development of children with Down syndrome. Conclusion: There are effects and benefits from the provision of each intervention in various countries on improving the development of children with Down syndrome.

Abstract

Malnutrition is a significant problem in Indonesia. There are several conditions that affect the nutrition of children aged under five, namely stunting, low weight, and wasting. This condition occurs as a result of nutrition that is not in accordance with the life stages of the child. This condition is very influential for the health and survival of children in the long term. The purpose of this literature review study is to prove and study more deeply the use of KIA books in the provision of MPASI to prevent stunting. The method used in searching for the author's article uses the study literature review method, a search used using a database in the form of google scholar and pubmed, with the keywords "KIA Book", "complementary feeding", "Stunting". Articles obtained for review as many as 9 articles that fit the criteria, namely 6 national articles and 3 international articles. The results of MPASI giving factors that result in stunting are maternal factors in terms of education, knowledge (type of food given, frequency and amount of MPASI given), maternal KEK history, parenting, and social environment.
