Abstract

The role of parents in forming character is very important, and influences children's character education. Parents in this role also experience difficulties. Researchers want to study two things further: first, what is the role of parents according to Ephesians 4:2 in teaching children's character? Second, how do parents face the challenges of teaching children's character? The purpose of this writing is to increase our understanding of children's character which must be applied in the family according to Ephesians 4:2. The type of research used is the library research method. The approach chosen is qualitative description. By paying attention, educating and accompanying children from an early age, parents can help build their child's character. In Ephesians 4:2 it is an example in building children's character so that parents are role models for their children, for this reason parents should be good examples for their children.

Abstract

The increasingly alarming ecological crisis demands efforts to build awareness and concern for the environment, especially among the younger generation of Christians. This study aims to determine the role of Christian Religious Education teachers in shaping a generation of Christians who care about the ecological crisis. Using a qualitative approach with descriptive methods, data collection was conducted through interviews, observations, and filling out questionnaires. The results showed that Christian Religious Education teachers have an important role in shaping a Christian generation that cares about the ecological crisis, which is realized through (a) Integration of ecological material in Christian Religious Education learning, such as the concept of creation, stewardship, and human responsibility towards nature (b) Exemplary teachers in behaving environmentally friendly and educating students to care about the environment (c) Development of environmental awareness-based activities and cleaning activities in the school environment and its surroundings. This study suggests that Christian Religious Education teachers should consistently integrate ecological issues in learning and provide examples of environmentally friendly behavior, as well as develop extracurricular programs that can foster environmental awareness in the Christian generation. The findings of this study confirm the significant contribution of Christian Religious Education teachers in developing ecological awareness in the younger generation of Christians

Abstract

Pembangunan jemaat yang dinamis menuntut kehadiran gembala dan pengerja yang kompeten dalam aspek spiritual, manajerial, dan relasional. Hal ini terjadi minimnya pembinaan berkelanjutan mengakibatkan stagnasi pertumbuhan iman jemaat, lemahnya koordinasi pelayanan, dan krisis kaderisasi pemimpin. Kondisi ini mendesak dilakukannya pengabdian berupa pembinaan terstruktur untuk meningkatkan kompetensi gembala dan pengerja dalam membangun jemaat. Metode yang digunakan adalah pelatihan partisipatif melalui seminar kebangunan rohani, lokakarya manajemen gereja, dan pendampingan lapangan selama tiga bulan. Hasil kegiatan menolong gembala dan pengerja memahami pertumbuhan jemaat. Pemahaman teologi praktis meningkat yang terlihat dari kemampuan menyusun pengajaran kontekstual; terbentuknya tim kerja yang solid dengan komunikasi terbuka. Penanganan konflik secara dewasa; tersusunnya rencana strategis pelayanan tahunan yang partisipatif. Peningkatan antusiasme jemaat dalam ibadah, tumbuhnya kelompok sel baru, dan pulihnya relasi harmonis antara pemimpin dan jemaat. Kesimpulannya, pembinaan berkelanjutan merupakan kunci revitalisasi peran gembala dan pengerja dalam pembangunan jemaat berkaitan aspek Persekutuan, pengajaran dan pelayanan sosial sehingga model ini dapat diadaptasi bagi gereja-gereja lain.
