Abstract

The purpose of this study were to analyze the comprehension and perceptions, degree of participation and the factors that can have an effect on the economic development of the community in managing mangrove forests. The data analysis method uses analytical descriptive. The results showed that: (1) Respondent has a proficient comprehension of mangroves as much as 52.6%, while for the perception of the majority of respondents have the perception of that 39.5% (2) The majority of respondents have a moderate level of participation (68.4%), (3) Factors affecting community participation are: sufficient tourism facilities, the number of available productive age workers is sufficient, thus making a positive economic impact for the benefit of the community. Suggestions for follow-up are as follows, the public of Tambakrejo needs an assistance in regards of innovation and marketing skills of products derived from mangrove, as well as an excellent waste management training in mangrove surrounding the coastal areas

Abstract

AbstrakKeberadaan kampus yang merupakan tempat dimana teknologi, ilmu pengetahuan dan inovasi ditegakkan, menjadi komunitas di tingkat lokal yang berperan penting dalam berkontribusi menerapkan prinsip sustainability dalam ruang lingkup lingkungannya. Tim PKM UPBJJ-UT Malang melaksanakan kegiatan pemberdayaan yaitu pelatihan bagi civitas akademika dan masyarakat mengenai budidaya tanaman secara hidroponik untuk mewujudkan green campus. Berdasarkan hasil kegiatan pengabdian ini maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa kegiatan berlangsung dengan baik, dengan antusiasme tinggi dari peserta yang terlibat. Tanaman hias hidroponik yang ditanam dalam rangka mewujudkan green campus karena memiliki banyak manfaat bagi lingkungan yaitu selain bermanfaat bagi keindahan, dapat juga untuk menyerap polusi udara. Secara umum, terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan oleh peserta pelatihan dari sembilan aspek persepsi peserta mengenai budidaya tanaman secara hidroponik.Kata Kunci: Green campus; Hidroponik; Polusi udara; Tanaman HiasAbstractThe existence of a campus, which is a place where technology, science and innovation are upheld, is a community at the local level that plays an important role in contributing to the applying of the principles of sustainability within the scope of its environment. The PKM UPBJJ-UT Malang team carried out empowerment activities, namely training for the academic community and the local community regarding hydroponic plant cultivation to realize a green campus. Based on the results of this service activity, it can be concluded that the activity went well, with high enthusiasm from the participants involved. Hydroponic ornamental plants are planted in order to realize a green campus because they have many benefits for the environment, namely being beneficial for aesthetics, and they can also absorb air pollution. In general, there was an increase in the knowledge of training participants from the nine aspects of participants' perceptions of hydroponic plant cultivation..Keywords: Green Campus; Hydroponics; Air pollutan; Decorative plants
