Abstract

This paper discusses that one way to overcome poverty is by effective economic development. Economic development with a charitable nuance is only a short-term solution and it is feared that it cannot sustainably overcome poverty. Therefore, an inclusive empowerment process is needed, one of which is an economic empowerment program by WVI in the form of economic assistance to present the independence of the community with small and medium enterprises. Through a qualitative study in this paper researchers tries to provide an overview of the role of assistant in empowerment activities. In empowerment, assistant acts as a change agent. There are three things that make WVI as an assistant play an important role in empowerment. Assistant have a role as enablers where they enable change by placing the community as the subject of change. The assistant also plays a role in improving business competence. Lastly, to create sustainable conditions, the assistant needs to initiate the formation of a social system in the community as a vehicle for independent problem solving.

Abstract

This study discusses the empowerment strategy of Small Medium Enterprise (SME) in the manufacturing sector at Ngingas Metal Industry Center, Kecamatan Waru, Kabupaten Sidoarjo, conducted by Dharma Bhakti Astra Foundation (YDBA) in increasing the company's competitive advantage. This research is a qualitative research to describe how empowerment is carried out to improve competitive advantage. The results of this study indicate an effort to integrate business and social activities where empowerment activities carried out benefits to the community and also affect the company's business strategy. Competitive advantage is achieved by optimizing one of the activities in the value chain, namely procurement activities. By making SMEs as suppliers, the company has alternative suppliers, guarantees the supply of inputs and gets more affordable prices of goods. Empowerment methods are carried out through training activities, mentoring, market facilitation and financing facilitation. The aim is that trained SMEs are qualified as suppliers and achieve self reliance.

Abstract

Perkembangan remaja pada saat ini banyaknya ditemukan perilaku-perilaku atau kebiasaan yang menyimpang di kalangan pelajar khususnya di lingkungan sekolah, mulai dari membolos, berpakaian kurang rapi, tidak mengerjakan tugas, dan menggunakana handphone saat jam pelejaran sekolah. Kurangnya penanaman pendidiakn karakter pada anak usia dini mempengaruh munculnya berbagai pemasalahan di diri anak tersebut.Metode yang digunakan dalam jurnal kali ini yakni kajian literatur terkait dengan pendidikan karakter pada remaja, selain literatur penulis juga menggunakan metode dengan melihat situasi alamiah sekitar,pendidikan krakter merupakan upaya yang di lakukan oleh manusia untuk mendidik dirinya atau orang lain dengan tujuan supaya beretika, bermoral, dan juga dapat menjaga sopan santun dimasyarakat. Upaya yang dapat dilakukan dalam Memperbaiki Karakter Pada Remaja Melalui Pendidikan Karakter diharapkan akan tercipta generasi yang cerdas, bermoral, berakhlak mulia, dan berpendidikan.Kata-kata kunci: pendidikan 1; kaarakter 2; remaja 3
