Abstract

Education is the right of every child, and learning is something that should be done for children in building character and building human resources. However, many of the children in Gang Perwira themselves still have low interest in learning, and there are still many assumptions that learning is a boring activity, besides that they are still ignorant in capturing lessons at school. Due to their ignorance of the lessons at school, many children do not feel interested in their lessons at school, as well as the children in Gang Perwiras. Therefore, the existence of field work practicum activities (PKL) would help the process of tutoring children in Gang Perwira. Program interventions in this practicum are individual interventions by Skidmore, namely the research phase (Study Phase), the assessment phase, the planning phase, the intervention phase, and the termination phase. With this practicum, it is hoped that it can foster children's interest in learning.

Abstract

Self-confidence is a major problem for the elderly involving a negative self-evaluation. One strategy to increase self-confidence in the elderly is to hone the skills of the elderly so that the elderly can be more productive so that they help the elderly adjust to the surrounding environment and so that the elderly can adapt well due to the aging process so that the impact of decreased self-confidence does not develop into psychological disorders such as depression. The same thing also happened to one of the elderly who lived behind the Padangsidimpuan City Social Service who needed help to increase his self-confidence again. The process of providing assistance was also carried out in the PKL 1 mini project activity, using the case work method through the general intervention stage consisting of Engagement Intake Contract, Assessment, Planning, Intervention, Evaluation and Termination. Abstract

Education is something that must be done by every human being regardless of where the human comes from, regardless of the layers that exist in the midst of society. However, the problem in a learning process is the basic ability of a child to read and recognize letters due to the limited ability of a person to remember. On this occasion the practitioner found a self-supporting location called Sanggar Anak Sungai Deli which has the aim of empowering children on the banks of the Deli river. This children's studio fully supports education and self-development through the interests and talents of children on the banks of the Deli River, both from elementary school age and up to senior high school. The activities empowered by the management of the Deli Sungai Anak Studio include dance classes, reciting the Koran, knitting classes, music classes, multimedia classes and even other activities aimed at forming the interest and eating of the children on the banks of the Deli River. But what makes the practitioner interested in doing the second Field Work Practice here is, in the midst of the ability of the children on the banks of the Deli River in developing interests, talents and soft skills, it turns out that in terms of letter recognition there are still many who find it difficult to understand because of limited memory abilities, especially in young children. Many children aged 6-8 years do not know letters. Therefore, the purpose of the practitioner is to act as an intermediary in improving the memory of the children on the banks of the Deli River through developing the interests and talents that they live out daily at the Sungai Deli Children's Studio.
