Abstract

ABSTRACTThe purpose of this research was to know the difference of the students learning  outcomes  using  blended learning and e-learning on  the concept human digetive System.This research was done on August 2016 until October  2016 in Biology educational Department. The method that is used in this research is pre- experimental method. The population of this research is all first semester students are four classes with 137 students. Samples used by 2 classes are taken by cluster random sampling is A class  with 32 students and B class with 32 students. Research instrument is a learning outcomest test about human digetive System concept ,This test consist of 30 items of multiple choice question with five options in each question. The researcher use tcount to analyze the data result with a significance level (α) = 5 %.Result  of  the  research  shows  that  difference  of  student’s learning outcomes that use blended learning and e-learnig on the concept human digestive System. Keywords: blended learning, e-learning, human digestive system. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar mahasiswa yang proses pembelajarannya menggunakan blended learning dan e-learning pada materi sistem pencernaan manusia. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Agustsu 2016 sampai dengan bulan Oktober 2016 di jurusan pendidikan biologi. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah pre eksperimental. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh mahasiswa tingkat 1 sebanyak empat kelas,  dengan  jumlah  siswa  sebanyak  137  mahasiswa.  Sampel  yang  digunakan sebanyak dua kelas yang diambil dengan cluster random sampling yaitu kelas A sebanyak 32 siswa dan kelas B sebanyak 32 siswa. Instrumen penelitian adalah tes hasil belajar pada materi sistem pencernaan manusia. Tes ini berupa pilihan majemuk sebanyak 30 butir soal dengan lima options. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji t dengan taraf signifikan (α) = 5 %. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, pengolahan, dan analisis data menunjukan terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar mahasiswa yang model pembelajarannya menggunakan blended learning dan e-learning pada materi sistem pencernaan manusia. Kata Kunci: blended learning, e-learning,  sistem pencernaan manusia.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine the influence of Modular Object-Oriented Dynamic Learning Environment (MOODLE) to student result learning outcomes in the human digestive system in 7th grade MTs N Cikatomas. This research was conducted in September to November 2014 in MTs N Cikatomas Tasikmalaya. Research method used the true experimental with the population was from all classes on 7th grade as many as 5 classes with the number of students as many as 186 students. The sample was used are 2 classes that selected by the cluster random sampling technique. To measure learning outcomes used 40 questions learning outcomes instrument. Technique of analyzing the data in this research using t-test with significant level α = 0,05. Based on data analysis and hypothesis testing be concluded that there is influence of Modular Object-Oriented Dynamic Learning Environment (MOODLE) to student result learning outcomes in the human digestive system in 7th grade MTs N Cikatomas.

Abstract

The Brain Based Learning (BBL) Model in this reseach is applied for improvement of learning outcomes in primary school for subject of sensory Systems. Metodology of this reseach is true experimental by using control group pretest-posttest design. The population of students class IV SD Negeri Tejamaya. The sample of 2 classes taken total sampling, that one class as experimental class is IV A the number of sample is 35 tudents and the class as control class is IV B the number of sample is 36 students. Data collection techniques are paper test (pretest and posttest) to obtain data on student learning outcomes. The research’s data are done with consider their normality an homogenity, and then the data analysis technique is used mean difference test with t-test with a significant level (?) = 5%. Based on data analysis and hypothesis testing shows that there is a significant increase in learning outcomes of primary school student whose learning process uses the Brain Based Learning (BBL) model. The n-gain value for the experimental class is 0,82 and for the control class 0,62.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was knowing the effect of guided inquiry learning based blended learning to student learning outcomes on human digestive system. This research was conducted in August 2016 until October 2016 in in Biology educational Department. The research method used true experiment method. The population of this research is all first semester students are four classes with 137 students. The sample used by 2 class taken by cluster random sampling that is A class with 32 students as experiment class and C class with 32 students as control class. Research instrument is a multiple choice learning outcomest test about human digetive System.Data analysis technique used test of difference of two mean (t-test) with ? = 0.05. Based on the results of research can be concluded that there is effect of guided inquiry learning based blended learning to student learning outcomes on human digestive system

Abstract

The integration of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has encouraged the development of more interactive, contextual, and student-centered biology learning media. However, population dynamics remains a challenging topic for students because ecological interactions, such as population growth, predator–prey relationships, environmental carrying capacity, and resource availability, are abstract and cannot always be observed directly in classroom settings. This study aimed to design and evaluate the feasibility of Rabbit Population Dynamics (RPD), a game-based learning medium developed to support students’ understanding of population dynamics. This research and development study employed the ADDIE model, consisting of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation, integrated with Merrill’s principles of instruction to strengthen the pedagogical structure of the media. Product feasibility was examined through media expert validation, content expert validation, and a small-group trial involving 13 university students who had studied population dynamics. The results showed media validation of 87.90% in the highly feasible category, content validation of 93.90% in the highly feasible category, and a small-group trial score of 87.27% in the highly feasible category. These findings indicate that RPD is highly feasible as an interactive learning medium for the population dynamics subtopic. Further classroom implementation with high-school students is recommended to examine its effect on conceptual understanding, learning engagement, and problem-solving skills in biology learning.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of integrating the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model with an ecosystem balance simulation game in enhancing senior high school students’ critical thinking skills. A quasi-experimental method with a matching-only posttest-only control group design was employed, involving 90 purposively selected students divided into three groups. The critical thinking instrument consisted of 12 validated essay items. Data analysis included the Kolmogorov–Smirnov normality test, Levene’s homogeneity test, and ANOVA followed by the LSD post hoc test. The results indicate a significant difference among the groups (Sig. = 0.019), with post hoc analysis showing that the experimental group performed significantly better than the conventional group, but did not differ significantly from the PBL-only group. These findings suggest that integrating simulation games into the PBL framework is associated with improved critical thinking outcomes compared to conventional instruction, while yielding results comparable to PBL without simulation support. This indicates that simulation-based PBL may serve as a complementary instructional approach that supports student engagement and conceptual understanding. The study’s implications highlight the importance of integrating interactive digital media in ecology instruction to support the development of students’ 21st-century competencies.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model, assisted by the Rabbit Dynamics Population media, on students' scientific attitudes towards ecosystem materials. This study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design (posttest-only control group design) involving three groups, namely the experimental class (PBL assisted by simulation media), the positive control class (PBL without media), and the negative control class (discovery learning). The research sample comprised 90 students from class X at SMA Negeri 1 Jatiwaras, selected through purposive sampling. The research instrument was a 23-item scientific attitude questionnaire using a Likert scale that met validity and reliability criteria (α > 0.80). Data analysis was carried out using normality and homogeneity tests, followed by one-way ANOVA, with post hoc tests. The results showed a significant difference in students' scientific attitudes between groups (Sig. < 0.05), with the experimental class having the highest average compared to the positive and negative control classes. Further tests showed that the experimental classes differed significantly from the two control classes, while there was no significant difference between the positive and negative control classes. The increase in scientific attitudes in the experimental class is evident in the indicators of critical thinking, creativity, cooperation, and perseverance. These findings show that integrating the PBL model with the Rabbit Dynamics Population simulation media effectively improves students' scientific attitudes, and it is therefore recommended as a biology learning innovation to support 21st-century skill development.
