Abstract

The utilization of e-learning can improve effectiveness and flexibility of learning. One important activities e-learning feature is a discussion forum. Communication between educators and students in class will be more effective if combined with communication through a discussion forum. Binus Online Learning is selected as a place of research. Binus Online Learning is a program of Bina Nusantara University that offers online study activities, which most of the students are invited to have self study activities. The aim of this research is to do requirement analysis and then to design a forum discussion called M-learning for Binus Online Learning so that it will be beneficial for the students that they can easily use the faster access. In this research, used are data collection through surveis, and analysis based on are literature study and the current systems, while rich picture and user interface are used for design. The results obtained are some features for the mobile learning discussion forum.

Abstract

World Vision Indonesia has several training programs with a very large total cost for 936 employees located in various parts of Indonesia, so that the manual training is considered less effective. Therefore, this research is conducted to design a learning management system application that supports the training process within the organization, and determine the needs for training materials. This research implemented strategyanalysis based on matrix EFE, IFE, SWOT, IE, and QSPM, as well as analysis and design of materials using Addie model. Meanwhile the design used a structured design method or OOAD. This research resulted in an application that supports the learning management system training process within the organization, provides accessible training materials by all employees at any time, and provides various features that creates training activities more effectively. The implementation of learning management system supports the company's strategy primarily to improve the quality of employees as well as reduces communication barriers between trainers and trainees both within and outside of training time.

Abstract

The utilization of e-learning can improve learning effectiveness and flexibility. Universitas Bina Nusantara (BINUS) provides an online learning program called BINUS Online learning. It offers the student to do a study through online activities, where the students are couraged to learn individually. This research was conducted to obtain a perspective of student intention from BINUS Online learning to mark good achievement. Non experimental method with quatitative approached is implemented where the respondents are students of Information System department and Marketing Management Department. The sampling techniques used is non probability purposive sampling. All variables are measured using questionnaire based on Fishbein and Ajzen model. The data of the research are analyzed using descriptive statistics and multiple linier regression analysis. The results show that the intention to mark an achievement of students of BINUS Online learning is very high. It means that BINUS Online learning Program students have strong intention to get good marks and study achievements.

Abstract

Information and technology nowadays develop rapidly in every sector, including in education. Saome problem occurs in studying process, so that needed a system which is able to produce an E-Learning aplication that can be used to support the studying process at SMAK Kalam Kudus II. This observation try to analyze and design an E-Learning aplication at SMAK Kalam Kudus II. The final result is an E-Learning aplication that can be used to support the studying process at SMAK Kalam Kudus II between teachers ad students and also a facility such as lesson’s schedule, test’ schedule, download lessons and tasks, score and a media like forum that can link between parents and teachers.

Abstract

Utilization of e-learning can improve learning effectiveness and flexibility. Features of e-learning that are important in teaching and learning activities are tasks features, discussion forums and discussion face to face in a video conference. BINUS Online Learning is a program that offers students to conduct online lectures. Online BINUS need to think about software and hardware that must be provided in a tablet. Therefore, this study will analyze the use of the tablet which will be used for student BINUS Online Learning. The purpose of this study is to analyze the needs, and then determines the specifications of the tablet to be used as a replacement for netbook facility at Binus Online Learning. The research methodology used include, among others: Data Collection Methods (by conducting surveys), and the analysis method that consists of literature study and analysis of the system running, by using the rich picturer.

Abstract

The use of information technology has been very widely in many fields including industry. Along with that, the need for a concept and mechanism of IT-based learning becomes inevitable. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the training process and identify any related problems occurred at PT.Suzuki Indomobil Motor. The problems are about the limited training time, lack of material distribution media and consultations out of training time. E-Learning is a concept of electronic application use to support learning using the internet and computer network. This concept influences the process of conventional education transformation to digital form, both in content and system. The learning system will be replaced with a web-based training media. The method used is the Object Oriented Analysis Design, which begins with a depiction of rich pictures to the Deployment diagram. This system is expected to meet the needs of employees while joining the training process, so that they will obtain excellent learning and achieve the company objectives.

Abstract

Facilities and advances in information technology such as digital library, online journal and references have not been well utilized by Regina Pacis High School. The school still implements the teacher centric teaching method where students are highly dependent on teacher that may inhibit the student’s development in independent learning. The author felt the need to propose an alternative solution to support student centric learning process by utilizing information technology advances. Therefore, an e-learning system design is made for Regina Pacis High School. To analyze the position of Regina Pacis High School the Porter's Five Forces is used. Meanwhile appropriate strategies for the school are determined using SWOT analysis. Results of Matrix IFE and Matrix EFE state that Regina Pacis High School is on the maintain-and-guard position while the results of the SWOT matrix states that the strategy of Strengths-Opportunities (SO) fits the conditions of the school. The strategies and implementation of e-learning system are expected to optimize the available technology to strengthen the position of Regina Pacis high school in the competitive market.
