Abstract

Irritant contact dermatitis is a skin disease that often occurs in rubber company workers due to contact with irritant materials. Irritant materials in the work environment can damage the skin, cause inflammation, and cause irritation. If not treated immediately, this condition can interfere with comfort and reduce work efficiency. This study aims to determine the factors associated with complaints of irritant contact dermatitis in production and laboratory workers at PT. X. This study uses a quantitative approach with an observational cross-sectional design. The study population was 64 workers, with 38 people as samples taken using a purposive sampling technique. The variables studied included the dependent variable (complaints of irritant contact dermatitis) and independent variables (length of service, exposure to chemicals, duration of exposure, personal hygiene, and use of PPE). Data analysis was carried out univariately and bivariately using the Chi-Square statistical test with a 95% confidence interval. The results showed that complaints of irritant contact dermatitis with moderate and severe categories were 44.7%, and the mild category was 55.3%. There was a significant relationship between length of work (p=0.031), length of exposure (p=0.032), personal hygiene (p=0.011), and use of PPE (p=0.024) with complaints of irritant contact dermatitis. Abstract

Background: Low back pain (LBP) is still one of the health problems, including in the dental profession. Doctor Dentists have a risk of experiencing Low Back Pain (LBP) when viewed from their static work activities. work activities that are static. The purpose of this study was to determine relationship between ergonomic factors and complaints of Low Back Pain (LBP) in general dentists practicing independently in Jambi City. general dentists practicing independently in Jambi City. Methods: This study is a quantitative study with an observational observational research design and using a cross sectional research design. The study population was general dentists practicing in Jambi City, totaling 204 people. Respondents in this study 70 people. Data collection using the ODI questionnaire for measurement LBP measurement, fingertip pulse oximeter for measurement of workload, Rapid Upper Limb Assessment (RULA) for work posture measurement, vibration meter for vibration measurement, and lux meter for lighting measurement. Data analysis using chi-square statistical test version 24. Results: The results showed the prevalence of complaints of Low Back Pain (LBP) in dentists was 60%. dentists amounted to 60%. The statistical test results show that the variables workload (p=0.000 <0.05), work posture (p=0.000 <0.05), length of work (p = 0.000 < 0.05), repetition (p = 0.003 < 0.05), lighting (p = 0.415 > 0,05). Conclusion: There is a relationship between workload, work posture, work duration, repetition with complaints of Low Back Pain (LBP) and there is no relationship between workload, work posture, work duration, repetition and lighting

Abstract

The increase in the incidence of COVID-19 has caused quite a bad impact on the whole world in various complex fields. The incidence of COVID-19 cases is high and the case fatality rate (CFR) is high in the world, nationally and in Jambi province and the incidence of COVID-19 cases is high even in Puskemas Paal V also has a fairly high CFR rate. The purpose of this study was to determine risk factors based on the application of health protocols for the occurrence of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the working area of the Paal V Health Center in Jambi city in 2021. This type of research is analytical and uses a case control study design with a large sample in this study as many as 82 respondents with a ratio of 1:1 so that 41 respondents for the case Group and 41 respondents for the control group using simple random sampling from COVID-19 case data in January-February. It was found that respondents who sometimes avoid crowds (OR: 6.86 95% CI 0.79-59.76) and reduce mobility (OR: 8.24 0.96-70.31) are at high risk of Covid-19. It is necessary to try to keep implementing health protocols while outside the home, especially using masks and limiting official (domestic) travel, especially in groups aged 18-40 years.

Abstract

The number of DHF cases in the Kenali Besar Besar Health Center, Jambi City continues to increase every year. This study aims to determine the risk factors associated with the incidence of dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) in the Kenali Besar Health Center, Jambi City. The design of this study was a Case Control design. The population in this study was the total number of DHF cases in the period January 2024-March 2025. These respondents were divided into two groups, namely the total sample was 93 consisting of 31 cases and 62 controls or 1: 2. Sampling of cases and controls using non-probability sampling or purposive sampling techniques. Analysis was carried out using the Chi-square test. The results of the study showed that the independent variables associated with DHF include; PSN 3M practice (p-value = 0.006 and OR = 3.870) the presence of mosquito larvae (p-value = 0.006 and OR = 3.870), residential density (p-value = 0.015 and OR = 3.385), the habit of hanging clothes (p-value = 0.030 and OR = 3.214), Water Reservoirs (p-value = 0.002 and OR = 4.747) are related to the incidence of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF).  Risk factors related to the incidence of DHF are the Implementation of 3M Practices, the presence of mosquito larvae, residential density, the habit of hanging clothes and water reservoirs with the incidence of DHF. It is hoped that the community can take action to eradicate mosquito nests in the home environment and the surrounding environment so that there is no place for aedes aegypti mosquitoes to breed.

Abstract

Abstract

This report examines efforts for early detection and prevention of tuberculosis (TB) transmission in Kasang Kumpeh Village, Kumpeh Ulu District, Muaro Jambi Regency, through a door-to-door approach and community education. The program aims to raise public awareness of the importance of TB screening, early detection, and adherence to treatment. Screening activities were conducted in three high-risk RTs, with results showing that most of the community had low knowledge about TB. Interventions were carried out by providing household-based education and engaging the community in prevention efforts through the SIMPATIK (Community Synergy for TB and Health Awareness) program. Additionally, tuberculosis preventive therapy (TPT) was given to high-risk families. Evaluation results showed significant improvement in the community's knowledge about TB after the intervention, and successful identification of potential cases of TB transmission.
