Abstract

This paper discusses the history of the story of Sa'labah bin Hatib which is ascribed to asbabun nuzul from surat al-Taubah verse 75. Most commentators refer to the history of al-Tabari. Two narrations of al-Tabari index number 16986 and 16987, each base of the sanad ends in Ibn nu Abbas's friend and Abu Umamah al-Bahili. The majority of hadith critics say that most of the narrators in the chain of the second sanad of al-Tabari's history are punished by da'if and munkar. From the side of the law, there are also many irregularities, including: 1) contrary to surat al-Taubah verse 103 which instructs to take zakat. 2) Contrary to the next zahir verse, namely verses 76 and 77 of surat al-Taubah. 3) Contrary to the historical fact, the hypocrites were reluctant to pay zakat fought by Abu Bakr.

Abstract

The main goal of istiqāmah for a Muslim is to be consistent with his Islam, but, in Indonesia, many Muslims are still not quite right in understanding the true meaning of istiqāmah. Among them, understanding istiqāmah is only limited to doing certain practices and stopping at one point of practice (not dynamic).Using the ma'nā cum maghzā approach, this article critically presents the initial understanding ma'nā of the word istiqāmah in Surat Fuṣṣilat: 30-31 through historical context analysis (macro and micro) and linguistic analysis (intratextuality and intertextuality). After ma'nā analysis, we are exploring the main message when Surat Fuṣṣilat: 30-31 is necessary. This is verses was revealed, then continued by drawing new understanding (reinterpretation) to find the main message that is universal and relevant to the current context.In this research, there are several findings, namely: a) al-ma’nā al-tārikhī from istiqāmah is luzum al-thā'at (but obedience), b) al-maghzā al-tārikhī from Surat Fuṣṣilat: 30-31 is whatever the challenge or test faced by believers should not diminish their faith and obedience to Allah, and c) al-maghzā almutaḥarrik from the verse explains that the concept of istiqāmah that is patiently bearing various consequences of faith., as well as implementing Rabbunā Allāhi in moderate ritual piety (shari'at) and social piety (akhlaq).

Abstract

Al-Qur'an is God's word, which many types various, one that discusses the previous Prophet's history is called Tarikh. Out of Quran's History, able to teach people after it. Alquran is a Prophet Muhammad's miracle and miracle to a person who thought it. The violence case in the Quran was called mukjizat or I'Jaz. One of the signs of science is in history. In Prophet Musa, who split the sea into two, this story is in SURAH Thaha: 77. So this journal will discuss 1) I'jaz al-Tarikhy in Surah Thaha: 77, 2) From history, then analysis by science to found I'Jaz al-‘Ilmy in this verse. The result will be obtained by starting at the story; this proves that Prophet Musa and his miracle of splitting the sea can own because this is evidenced by analyzable.
