The phenomenon of Indonesian language interference in Arabic communication is one of the common obstacles encountered by learners of Arabic as a second language, including students at Ma’had Jawahirul Umam, Cibiru Wetan, Bandung. Language interference occurs when elements of the Indonesian language influence the use of Arabic, resulting in deviations in linguistic aspects. This study aims to identify the forms of Indonesian language interference in Arabic communication, analyze the factors causing the interference, and formulate solutions to minimize it. This research employed a qualitative approach using an intrinsic case study method. The data consisted of students’ utterances in Arabic communication collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings revealed that Indonesian language interference occurred in three main aspects: phonological, morphological, and syntactic interference. The factors contributing to the interference included limited mastery of Arabic vocabulary, the dominance of the mother tongue in the thinking process, communicative pressure in daily interactions, and the influence of the language environment among students. The proposed solutions to reduce interference include strengthening Arabic vocabulary mastery, intensifying the learning of Arabic phonology, reinforcing the practical teaching of nahwu and sharaf, and optimizing the Arabic-speaking environment. The findings of this study are expected to serve as evaluation material and a reference for the development of Arabic language learning in order to improve students’ speaking skills more effectively.
