Abstract

Abstract: Effectiveness of LKPD Based on Chemical Representation Using the Discovery Learning Model in Improving Science Process Skills in Chemical Equilibrium Material . This research aims to describe the effectiveness of chemical representation-based LKPD with discovery learning models in improving KPS in chemical equilibrium material. The population in this research is all students in class XI Science at SMAN 14 Bandarlampung for the 2022/2023 academic year. The sample was selected using purposive sampling technique. The sample in this research was class XI IPA 6 as the experimental class and XI IPA 5 as the control class. The design in this research is The Matching-Only Pretests-Posttest Control Group Design . The data analysis technique used is the difference test between two means with the Independent Samples t-Test. The research results show that the average KPS n-gain is in the high category in the experimental class and medium in the control class. The results of data analysis showed that there was a significant difference in the average KPS n-gain between the experimental class which applied LKPD based on chemical representation with the discovery learning model and the control class which used LKPD which was not based on chemical representation with the discovery learning model . Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the LKPD based on chemical representation with the discovery learning model is effective in increasing students' KPS in chemical equilibrium material. Keywords: LKPD based on chemical representation, discovery learning model, chemical equilibrium, science process skillsDOI: 10.23960/jppk.v13.i1.2024.12

Abstract: Enhancing Students' Analyzing Skills on Reaction Rate Topics Using the Guided Inquiry Learning Model. This study aims to describe the effectiveness of the guided inquiry learning model on reaction rate material in improving analysis skills. The population in this study were all students in grade XI at SMA Negeri 13 Bandarlampung in the 2023/2024 academic year, using purposive sampling technique obtained grade XI 6 as the experimental class and grade XI 7 as the control class. This study used the matching only pretest and posttest control group design. The data obtained were analyzed by calculating the average n-gain score of the pretest and posttest analysis skills. Apart from that, hypothesis testing was also carried out using an independent t-test. The research results showed that the n-gain of analytical skills in the experimental class was in the high category, and the average posttest score for analytical skills in the experimental class was higher than in the control class. Based on the research results, it is concluded that the guided inquiry learning model on reaction rate material is effective in improving analyzing skills. Keywords: guided inquiry learning model, reaction rate, analyzing skills.DOI: 10.23960/jppk.v13.i1.2024.16

Abstract

Chemistry teachers in Bandar Lampung face challenges in using AI in teaching chemistry at school. To overcome this problem, training is needed to facilitate increasing chemistry teachers' understanding of the use of AI in learning. The aim of this training is for chemistry teachers in Bandar Lampung to understand and be able to use AI which can increase learning effectiveness. The method used in this training is to provide direct training both theory and practice, test instruments are used to see improvements in training results. The results of the training had a positive impact, providing significant improvements. The average post-test score is 88, this value is greater than the pre-test score of only 71. This increase is an indication of the success of the training. So that teachers can make learning more effective at school by utilizing technology as an AI-based learning resource. In the end, it can improve the quality of chemistry learning in schools.

Abstract

This research was aimed to describe the improvement of students problem solving skills through discovery learning and student readiness in online learning. This study is a quasi experimental design using a nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group design. The population were all students of class XI MIPA SMAN 3 Bandar Lampung. The sampling technique used purposive sampling. Problem solving skills, student readiness in online learning were analyzed by independent t-test and correlation test. The results showed: (1) discovery learning is effective to improve problem solving skills on chemical equilibrium material; (2) there is a significant relationship between self-control and problem solving skills; (3) there is a significant relationship between the efficacy of using the internet in online learning with problem solving skills; (4) there is a significant relationship between self-control and the efficacy of using internet in online learning with problem solving skills. Keywords: online learning, student readiness, problem solving skills, discovery learning. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpmipa/v23i2.pp400-409
