Abstract

Population problems in Indonesia have entered a fairly serious stage and if not overcome immediately will cause a disaster, especially for adolescent age groups where their problems are so complex. The purpose of this research is to know the role of youth information and counseling center in addressing demographic bonuses in urban areas. This research was conducted with qualitative approach, as field research to understand the phenomenon about role, behavior, perception and action natural by adolescent. Given the age group of adolescents greatly determines the direction of future development in achieving the desired demographic bonus. With the provision of adolescent knowledge gained through the active Youth Information and Counseling Center has attitudes, future behavior and perspective have aspirations for continuing education, finding employment, planning family life and become a member of society and practice healthy life. Seen the board of the Center for Information and Counseling Teenagers do education and counseling related dangers Triad Reproductive Health Teenagers outside and inside the school, Teenagers are also actively developing self potential and continue to hone as an added value, youth Information Center And Counseling can be a role model in school as models and examples that have attitudes, healthy behaviors, they also get a mandate from teachers Counseling Guidance to counsel to friends who have problems. They actively participate in educational exhibitions, wall magazine discussions and educational motivation to peers and have annual career preparation training activities that must be followed by the board. the Youth Information and Counselors Information Center can be a source of information for peers in overcoming the problems that appear to them.

Abstract

Pengeringan merupakan hal yang sangat penting pada pengolahan kopi, tanpa pengeringan yang baik, kualitas biji kopi tidak akan maksimal. Pengeringan lapisan tipis merupakan langkah fundamental dalam memahami perilaku pengeringan produk pertanian, termasuk kopi. Penelitian ini menggunakan biji Kopi yang sudah difermentasi, dibersikan, dicuci dan disortasi. Buah kopi Robusta diperoleh dari kecamatan Ulu Ere kabupaten Bantaeng. Dengan alat pengering tray dryer biji kopi dikeringkan dengan menggunakan tingkatan suhu (400C, 500C, 600C) dan kecepatan udara 1 m/s. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa semakin tinggi suhu pengeringan maka semakin cepat mendekati kadar air kesetimbangan. Sampel dengan suhu 600C membutuhkan waktu pengeringan yang lebih cepat (sekitar 16 jam) untuk mencapai kadar air kesetimbangan. Ada tiga jenis model pengeringan yang digunakan untuk mendeteksi perilaku MR yaitu model Newton, model Henderson & Pabis, dan model Page. Persamaan model Page untuk tiga tingkatan suhu dan dengan dua sampel yang berbeda menunjukkan nilai R2 yang lebih besar atau mendekati 1 dibandingkan dengan kedua model lainnya. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa model Page adalah model pengeringan terbaik karena memilki kesesuaian terhadap karakteristik pengeringan lapisan tipis biji kopi Robusta.

Abstract

Marketing of seaweed is still in the form of dried seaweed, but in fact the quality of the dried seaweedthat is sold by farmers has not met the standards required by the seaweed processing industry. One ofthe efforts that can be made to improve the quality of dried seaweed is by optimizing drying, namelyby adjusting the thickness and reversal frequency. Pile thickness of will determine the length of timedrying is carried out, while the frequency of reversal will determine the spread of heat that occurs inthe seaweed pile. The aim of this study was to determine the drying speed in seaweed Gracilaria spdrying and quality of dried sweaweed. The study was conducted with two treatments, namely pilethickness of 12, 16 and 20 cm and treatment of reversal frequency with an interval of 3 hours, 4 hoursand 5 hours. The parameters observed in this study were a decrease in water content, drying rate, andsensory test. The results showed that the drying of Gracilaria sp seaweed with a thicknessof 12 cm with a reversal frequency of each 3-4 hours is the best treatment in terms of color / brightnessand good texture with a drying rate of 0.462 kg H2O/kg solids hour.

Abstract

Clove (Syzygium aromaticum), belongs to the Myrtaceae family and is one of Indonesia's native spice plants originating from the Maluku Islands. Clove post-harvest handling at the farm level is still done manually, one of which is the separation of flowers from the stems that are still using their hands. Flowers and clove stems need to be separated because they have different prices and qualities. The purpose of this study was to determine the attachment of cloves to their stems and physical characteristics (dimensions, weight and moisture content) of clove flowers in the varieties of Zanzibar, Si-Putih and Si-Kotok. Adhesiveness is intended as the force needed to release the clove flower from the stem so that it can be a reference and basic reference in the design of the clove flower separator from the stem or other processing equipment. This study used samples of clove flower varieties of Zanzibar, Si-Putih and Si-Kotok based on the color of the flower (level of maturity). The results of this study indicate that the adhesiveness of the clove Si-Kotok variety is 0.22 kg, the Zanzibar variety is 0.17 kg and the Si-Putih variety is 0.15 kg. In terms of color, the adhesiveness of red clove flowers is 0.22 kg, red green is 0.17 kg and green is 0.16 kg. The adhesiveness of cloves does not have a consistent correlation with the parameters of the physical properties of cloves.
