Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to develop a work readiness theory during pandemics based on existing theories and data obtained in the field. The research approach used is a qualitative method with a grounded theory approach. Research subjects are parties who have an interest and are involved in job readiness, namely managers, employees, recruiters, and educators. There are fifteen subjects in this research. Data analysis was carried out in 4 stages: open coding, focused coding, axial coding, and selective coding to organize and integrate categories into a single category. Validation of this study was carried out by triangulation, namely by validating respondents. The researcher re-interviewed the participants by questioning the results of previous interviews to see the consistency of the data obtained. The results showed that five factors correlate with each other. The first is social support which includes support from the school environment, parents, and friendship. The second factor is the internal force which functions as a driving force for individuals to carry out a behavior. The third is the opportunity aspect. The fourth is the competency that includes how to work attitude of fresh graduates and their digital mindset. Individuals are ready to work if competence and persistence in the search can be carried out correctly. And the last selection readiness is about readiness to understand their position. This research is expected to become additional information for the future as an initial source in developing studies related to the work readiness of graduates. The study results show that it takes both internal and external strength to prepare fresh graduates for work.

Abstract

Along with the development of the times and culture's contact from outside, the moral boundaries that are firmly held by the community are increasingly unclear. At school, for example, many students experience a decline in moral reasoning. However, the limited literature that focuses on improving moral reasoning with a quasi-experimental approach, the author will examine psychological interventions Rational Emotive Behavior Counseling (REB) and Psychoeducation (PSE). This study aims to identify differences in effectiveness between group counseling interventions with PSE and REB in improving students' moral reasoning. The author uses a quasi-experiment with a pretest-posttest follow-up design. The study subjects were Sarbini Islamic Junior High School students who had low moral levels. The research subjects consisted of 22 students divided into 11 students in the PSE group and 11 students in the counseling group with the REB approach. The data analysis results showed differences in students' moral reasoning in the REB and PSE groups. The average increase in students' moral reasoning was higher in the REB group than in the PSE group. The author concludes that group counseling with REB and PSE approaches can be applied to improve moral reasoning in students in schools, especially those based on Islam. However, for more optimal results, the authors suggest using REB.

Abstract

This research objective is to test the validity and reliability of moral development instruments on junior high school students. The moral development instrument for junior high school students was developed based on three aspects of moral development: moral knowing, moral feeling, and moral action. This research sample involves 172 students at Junior High School “X” in Magelang City, Indonesia ranging from 12 to 15 years of age. The total items developed from the three aspects are 152 items consisting of 60 items of moral knowing, 62 items of moral feeling, and 30 items of moral action. The items analysis was calculated using the product moment correlation technique and corrected item-total correlation technique. This research result indicates that the moral development instrument is valid with the score of rcount>rtable and stated reliable with Cronbach alpha score of moral knowing is 0.876, moral feeling is 0.886, and moral action is 0.830. The validity and reliability test result shows that the moral development instrument for students is feasible to use. Moral knowing, moral feeling, and moral action can reflect students' moral development.
