Abstract

The discourse of ecology-based urban development, by implementing green open space (RTH) based development has long been a global, national and local agenda. However, today there are still many regions, not yet fully able to meet these needs due to various aspects. In this study, it aims to determine how the reality and efforts to provide green open space (RTH) in the city of Palembang to realize a minimum of 30%. This research is also in the form of a research design with descriptive qualitative methods using a case study approach and literature study. The findings obtained in the research are at least in two dimensions, namely (1), that the existential reality of the provision of green open space (RTH) still has many challenges, both from the rate of development, the rate of population growth, and consistency in following up on conversion or transfer offenders. land function; (2), whereas the implementation of the policy is still at the administrative stage and division of field technicians, and there are still many challenges in professionalism and limited support for facilities and infrastructure in the field. Therefore, the city government of Palembang has not fully implemented its policies in fulfilling beautiful urban areas in accordance with the utopianism that was declared in 2012.

Abstract

ABSTRACK This research is entitled Political Sarcasm Against President Joko Widodo Period 2019 – 2024 on Twitter in a Human Rights Perspective. Freedom of expression is placed as a form of freedom in seeking information and then discussing whether to support or criticize it as a process to remove our misconceptions about facts and values. The use of sarcasm is considered as one of freedom of expression. In fact, the use of sarcasm on Twitter in criticizing Joko Widodo's government resulted in intervention and even imprisonment. This study aims to find out how political sarcasm is used against President Joko Widodo for the 2019 – 2024 period on Twitter from a human rights perspective. The theory used is the theory of freedom of expression according to Joel Feinberg which in his view states that there are limits to freedom of expression. The results of this study discuss tweets from various accounts on Twitter that wrote and uploaded sarcasm towards President Joko Widodo in the 2019-2024 period. . The use of sarcasm was in an effort to criticize President Joko Widodo. There are sarcasm that are harsh and unpleasant to hear so that there are expressions of sarcasm on Twitter which end up in court because the tweets cause insults to individuals and religious groups. The use of sarcasm can be trapped by violations of the Articles of the ITE Law and can go beyond the limits of freedom of expression according to Joel Feinberg.

Abstract

The correct writing of official letters in accordance with the rules is an important element in official communication within government agencies. However, various writing errors that can disrupt understanding and negatively impact the agency's image are often encountered. This study aims to identify and analyze the writing errors that occur in official letters at the Communication and Information Office of South Sumatra Province. The method used in this research is descriptive analysis with a qualitative approach, where data collection is obtained through observation and documentation. The results of the study indicate that common writing errors include mistakes in grammar, spelling, and the use of inappropriate terms. Additionally, a lack of understanding regarding the rules of writing official letters among employees is also one of the contributing factors. It is hoped that this research can provide recommendations to improve the quality of official letter writing through training and socialization regarding proper writing rules, so that official communication in the Communication and Information Office of South Sumatra Province can be conducted more effectively and professionally. Abstract

This study discusses the phenomenon of money politics in the 2024 legislative elections in PALI district. This phenomenon creates an interesting dynamic due to the fraud that occurred during the general election. This study uses descriptive qualitative research, which was conducted in Raja Barat village, Tanah Abang sub-district, Penukal Abab Lematang Ilir (PALI) district. The data collected in this study were obtained through interviews with informants, direct field observations, and documentation studies. The purpose of this study is to determine how the phenomenon of money politics occurs in Raja Barat Village, Tanah Abang Subdistrict, PALI District, and to identify the factors that influence the occurrence of money politics in the legislative elections in Raja Barat Village, Tanah Abang Subdistrict, PALI District. The theories used in this study are patronage and clientelism theories, as well as Gabriel Almond's political culture theory, as these theories are considered to provide a foundation for addressing the issues raised in this study. The results of the study indicate that the community accepts the practice of money politics because they are accustomed to receiving money and obtaining money during election periods. The community believes that this has become a tradition or culture practiced by the village community during elections, including local elections and village head elections. The patterns of money politics observed in Raja Barat Village include vote buying and the distribution of personal gifts by legislative candidates or their campaign teams. There are two factors influencing the continued occurrence of money politics: cultural and customary factors, and the second factor is the weakness of oversight and law enforcement. This study contributes to understanding the dynamics of money politics in the context of legislative elections and provides insights into the factors influencing the occurrence of money politics.
