Abstract

This study aims to describe the planning, implementation, evaluation and learning barriers of quantum teaching-based mathematics in developing student’s interest and learning outcome in elementary school. Data was obtained by observation, in-depth interviews, field records, document data analysis, and teaching and learning process documentation. Research data was checked for its validity by triangulation to obtain accurate and legitimate data. Data analysis was done through data reduction, data display, verification and conclusion. The results of the research were: (1) The quantum teaching-based mathematics lesson plan (RPP) designed by the teacher was generally qualified in the development of RPP;  (2) The study of mathematics based on quantum teaching was implemented according to the program that has been drafted to foster the learning interest of learners, although sometimes it should adapt to the situation and condition that occurred suddenly; (3) The evaluation was not monotonous, evaluation of learning using several assessment instruments to make the teacher understand how to foster learning interest and ability of learners (4) Learning mathematics based on quantum teaching requires supporting means of both multi-media learning, multi learning resources and so on.

Abstract

The Community Service Program aims to convey and discuss and reflect in-depth on strengthening teacher pedagogical competence and student learning motivation in online learning during the Covid-19 Pandemic. This activity was carried out at SMKN 2 Singkawang by involving teachers from SMKN 2 and SMKN 5 Singkawang. The aspects discussed specifically include; (1) strategies for strengthening teacher pedagogical competencies, (2) very essential pedagogical dimensions that are mastered and applied by teachers, (3) appropriate and applicable learning guidance patterns for students, (4) communication and speech patterns that can motivate and appropriate in supporting the implementation of online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. The activities were carried out in the form of seminars involving 110 teachers. The results of the PKM get a common perception about the importance of strengthening students' competence and learning motivation during the covid-19 period. Meanwhile, based on the reflection of teacher learning, what needs to be developed regarding strategies for strengthening teacher competencies and student learning motivation is that the strengthening strategies must be directed at strengthening digitalization competencies, literacy, and communication competencies to strengthen students' knowledge, attitudes, and skills.

Abstract

This study aims to produce science learning modules with Problem Solving methods that will be used in science learning plant breeding materials, can implement the science learning module Problem-Solving methods and describe the learning outcomes of plant breeding materials using method Problem-Solving in State Elementary School 03 of Hulu Sungai in Ketapang Regency. This research is the development of science learning method using Problem-Solving method by using the development phase of R & D Research adopted by Borg and Gall with module design using ADDIE model, with the research subject is class VI involved 16 students Data obtained through expert design validation questionnaire, expert media materials and experts, interviews, student response questionnaires, and documentation. Furthermore, data analysis is conducted qualitatively and quantitatively.

Abstract

This study aims to obtain information about strengthening national character for students in the border area, with a focus on the assessment of strengthening programs, program specificities, the actualization of program implementation, and monitoring patterns, monitoring, evaluation and follow-up of character strengthening programs for students in the border area. The study was conducted by combining quantitative and qualitative approaches through data deepening of students in two Senior High Schools (SMA) in border areas, namely SMA Negeri I and SMA Negeri II Balai Karangan, Sanggau district. Through questionnaires, in-depth interviews and Focus Group Discussions (FGD) it was concluded that the general character strengthening program had been carried out quite well, which was marked by a character strengthening program, schools had good initiatives in developing student character strengthening programs, education character has been carried out through the learning process and outside the learning process. Observation, monitoring, evaluation, and follow-up can already be implemented in character strengthening programs for students in the border area. The main supporting factor in the implementation of character strengthening is that there has been a good synergy between schools, parents and the community in character strengthening program in the border areas. Dimensions that have not been optimal are the absence of specific programs that characterize character reinforcement for students in the border area, program socialization has not been carried out thoroughly and the involvement of parents in the discussion of the results of monitoring and evaluation that is not optimal.
