Abstract

The objective of the present study is to analyze the influence of the investment growth (capital), the average growth of the  skilled-labor and unskilled-labor, the average educational attainment, as well as the government expenditure growth for education on the economic growth of the provinces in IndonesThe present study is descriptive as well as verificative by using pool least squares method. The data used is secondary such as panel data that consist of combination between time-series and cross-section from 26 provinces in Indonesia  during period 1994–2008. The research findings indicate that (1) capital growth (investment-investment) is positively and significantly influence on the economic growth, (2) the growth of the skilled-labor is negatively and not significantly influence on the economic growth. (3) the growth of the unskilled-labor is positively and significantly influence on the economic growth (4) educational attainment average is positively and significantly influence on the economical growth and (5) the growth of the government expenditure for education is positively and significantly influence on the economic growth of the provinces in Indonesia.

Abstract

This research  purpose  main to knowing and analyzing ; influence  of invesment (capital) growth, labor skills growth, labor unskills growth, education attainment  and  budget education expenditure growth  to economic growth.            The research uses descriptive and verificative,  with using method pool least sequares. The using data is secondary data in the form of pooled-data which  is a combination of time series  and cross-section data of 26 provinces in Indonesia priod 1994-2008.            The result of this study  shows that (1) the  influence of capital (invesment) growth have on positif effect and signifikan to economic growth, (2) the influences of the labor skills growth have on negative  effect and not significan to economic growth, (3) the influences of the labor unskills have on positif effect and  significan to economic growth, (4) the influences of the education attainment have on positif effect and significant to economic growth, (5) the influences of the budget education expenditure growth have on positif effect and significan to economic growth the provinces in Indonesia.

Abstract

Rice production is still the primary source of livelihood for rural communities in Tambakdahan Sub-district, Subang Regency. One harvest of every hectare can produce an average rice production of 8.5 to 9 tons. This study aims to determine the effect of land area ownership, use of labor, use of seeds, fertilizers, and technical irrigation (irrigation) on rice production and the Scale of business results, using the Cobb Douglas production function equation. The results of this study indicate that the three input variables have significant influence, namely; ownership of land area, fertilizers used, and technical irrigation (irrigation) on rice production, for the use of seed input, and technical irrigation (irrigation) have a positive effect, while the input of land area ownership has a negative impact. Two input variables do not have a significant effect, namely the input use of labor and seeds. The Scale of the results of the rice production business shows a decreasing scale of business results

Abstract

This study aims to examine and analyze the impact of population growth, the Human Development Index (HDI), underemployment, agricultural and non-agricultural workers on the number of poor people in West Java during the 2011-2019 period. This study is a quantitative and descriptive analysis, data collection techniques using secondary data obtained from the Central Bureau of Statistics of West Java, the Center for Employment Information Data and the National Development Planning Agency. The research subjects were 27 districts and cities with data analysis techniques using panel data regression. The results show that population growth has a positive effect on the number of poor people, the Human Development Index (HDI) has a negative impact on the number of poor people, and the underemployed population has a positive impact on the number of poor people. The large number of poor people and workers in the agricultural sector have a negative impact on the number of poor people, and employment in the non-agricultural sector has a negative impact on the number of poor people. Through this study it was found that population growth, Human Development Index (HDI), underemployed population, agricultural sector workers and non-agricultural sector workers as independent variables can explain changes in the number of poor people in West Java.

Abstract

This study aims to generate key strategies of sector development community empowerment to reduction poverty in Banjar. The analysis uses SWOT presented in three parts: SAP (Strategic Advantages Profile), ETOP (Environmental Threats and Opportunity Profile), and SWOT Matrix. The analysis showed the government’s attention to the program that was launched (district development program and the urban poverty program) where is by provision of Counterpart Funds from APBD has been increasing steadily every year. The mechanism has been implemented according to some regulations. The urban empowerment program should further focus and involve on the interests and needs of urban communities. The obstacles faced on the research to determine the program are, the execution (based onmain interest), the lack of human resources who understand and the plan ownership in preparing programs of community development and the lack of human resources with reliability in manufacturing reporting on the program implementation.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of socio-economic indicators on crime rates in 13 large cities in Indonesia in 2015-2021. This research is quantitative research using the path analysis method. The results of the study show that partially, GRDP per capita and the open unemployment rate have a positive and significant effect on the poverty rate. Population density and human development index variables have a negative and significant effect on the level of poverty. Simultaneously the variables GRDP per capita, population density, human development index, and open unemployment rate have a significant effect on the level of poverty. Partially the per capita GRDP variable has a negative and significant effect on the crime rate and the open unemployment rate variable has a positive and insignificant effect on the crime rate. The variables of population density, human development index, and poverty rate have a positive and significant effect on crime rates. Simultaneously the variables GRDP per capita, population density, human development index, open unemployment rate, and poverty rate have a significant effect on crime rates.

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PkM) di Desa Harumansari Kecamatan Kadungora Kabupaten Garut PkM dilaksanakan dengan metode Service Learning dan memiliki dua tujuan. Tujuan pertama adalah memberikan pengetahuan dan pemahaman tentang metode analisis SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats) kepada perwakilan pemangku kepentingan, termasuk aparat desa Harumansari. Tujuan kedua adalah melakukan pendampingan kepada aparat desa dalam menggunakan metode SWOT secara sederhana untuk menentukan jenis strategi pembangunan ekonomi Desa Harumansari. Sebanyak 96% peserta mengerti dan memahami materi pelatihan yang diberikan dan mereka juga merasa yakin dapat menggunakan metode SWOT untuk mengidentifikasi aspek-aspek SWOT dalam pembangunan bidang ekonomi desa. Kegiatan pendampingan pengisian dan penilaian kuesioner SWOT dilakukan kepada aparat Desa Harumansari. Berdasarkan kuesioner yang diisi dan dianalisis dengan matriks SWOT menunjukkan strategi pembangunan ekonomi Desa Harumansari dapat bersifat agresif dengan menggunakan kekuatan internal untuk memanfaatkan peluang semaksimal mungkin. Hasil pendampingan sekaligus menjadi bahan evaluasi sejauhmana aparat Desa Harumansari dapat memahami dan mengaplikasikan metode SWOT sederhana dalam penyusunan rencana pembangunan desa.
