Abstract

Manipol USDEK adalah Manisfesto Politik dari Presiden Soekarno atas keadaan Bangsa Indonesia yang terjadi pada 5 Juli 1959 terkait pertanggunjawaban presiden yang isinya yaitu: 1) Undang - Undang Dasar 1945, 2) Sosialisme Indonesia, 3) Demokrasi Terpimpin, 4) Ekonomi Terpimpin, 5) Kepribadian Bangsa Indonesia. Manipol USDEK dapat dikaitkan dalam situasi pendidikan pada jaman reformasi untuk mendapatkan jalan keluar permasalah bangsa dalam memajukan rakyat Indonesia menjadi masyarakat yang cerdas, berbudi pekerti, dan mempunyai karakter nasionalisme dalam membangun Negara Kesatuan Republik Indonesia. Dalam perjalanan Bangsa Indonesia yang dari negara terjajah sampai menjadi negara berkembang dan menuju negara maju perlu diulas kembali maksud dan tujuan dari pertanggungjawaban Presiden Soekarno agar masyarakat tahu sejarah bangsa Indonesia dalam menjalankan roda kepemerintahan. Pada jaman reformasi ini perkembangan teknologi sangat pesat maka perlu diselaraskan antara konsep yang disiapkan dan konsep tindaklajut keadaan perkembangan situasi bangsa agar jangan masyarakat hanya terpaku dalam kejadian masa lalu yang mengakibatkan bangsa ini menjadi paranoid terhadap perkembangan jaman. Maka hanya melalui pendidikan rakyat Indonesia bisa membangun bangsa ini lebih baik dan bisa bersaing di kancah internasional jika pendidikan yang tepat dapat diberikan kepada generasi penerus bangsa

Abstract

The implementation of Nyepi is held every year. All Hindu communities make preparations in the implementation, but in its implementation in each region, Hindus welcome differences in understanding and activity in the contemporary Bali, influenced by globalization. If seen from the meaning of Nyepi, Nyepi comes from a lonely word, which means quiet, silent, loose, no activity. Then Nyepi is a Hindu New Year based on the Saka calendar / calendar, which began in 78 AD. Unlike the celebration of the new year (every January 1), the Saka New Year in Bali begins with seclusion and carrying out the chess collection, which includes among others; (1) Observe Geni (may not turn on the fire), (2) Observe the Work (may not work), (3) Observe the Surge (may not travel out of the house), (4) Observe Lelanguan (may not carry out entertainment). In this study there are several formulation of the problem discussed by the author to obtain information and procedures in the series of implementation of Settlement Brata Chess.

Abstract

This study aimed at developing good reading comprehension materials for reading 1st course in second semester of Social and Politic Science Faculty at Mahen- dradatta University. It was developed by using the Research and Development proposed by Sugiyono (2010). The content of the product was based on Competency Standard and Basic Competency mentioned in the syllabus. The reading materials which have been provided for the second grade of reading 1st course in second grade of Social and Poli- tic Science Faculty at Mahendradatta University based on the criteria of a good reading material, involved the reading comprehension materials for reading 1st course that are relevant to convey the topic of (1) Grief and Escape, (2) Speech Production, (3) Career Women, (4) Visiting Bali, (5) “Ada Apa dengan Cinta?”, and (6) How to make Ice Cream. The reading comprehension materials, which should be developed, involved the skill of(1) understanding text organization, (2) inferring, (3) evaluating the text, (4) predicting,(5) understanding the writer’s style, and (6) dealing with unfamiliar words. The reading materials were corrected by the expert judges and field tested. The product, which was in the form of reading materials, was tried out twice. Firstly, it was tried out to the twenty students of the second semester and one lecturer Mahendradatta University. The result of the analysis showed that there were some invalid items. Then, the product was revised. Secondly, it was tried out in the second semester and two lecturers Mahendradatta Uni- versity. The results of the analysis showed that all of the items were valid. The product did not need to be revised again. Therefore, it could be used for reading 1st course in second semester of Social and Politic Science Faculty at Mahendradatta University.
