<![CDATA[Abstrak - Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan faktor yang menyebabkan pemalsuan Surat Tanda Nomor Kendaraan Bermotor, hambatan dalam proses penyelesaian tindak pidana pemalsuan Surat Tanda Nomor Kendaraan Bermotor dan upaya penyelesaian terhadap pelaku pemalsuan Surat Tanda Nomor Kendaraan Bermotor.Hasil penelitian menunjukkanpara pelaku melakukan itu semua dikarenakan faktor ekonomi, faktor lingkungan dan faktor tingginya permintaan minat kendaraan bermotor di pasaran tidak sesuai dengan daya beli masyarakat. Hambatan dalam memproses penyelesaian pemalsuan Surat Tanda Nomor Kendaraan Bermotoryaitukurangnya pemahaman sebagian masyarakat terhadap Surat Tanda Nomor Kendaraan Bermotor palsu, kurangnya ketelitian dari pihak kepolisian dan jaringan kejahatan. Upaya penyelesaian meliputi penyelesaian secara pre-emtif, preventif dan secara represif.Disarankan kepada Satuan Lalu Lintas Polres Langsa agar memberikan penyuluhan kepada masyarakat tentang pemahaman Surat Tanda Nomor Kendaraan Bermotor yang asli dan juga memberikan pelatihan kepada anggota kepolisian polres Langsa tentang tata cara membedakan Surat Tanda Nomor Kendaraan Bermotor asli dan palsu.Kata Kunci : Tindak Pidana Pemalsuan, STNKB. Abstract - The purpose of this study is to describe the factors that resulted in a conviction of forgery of Motor Vehicle registration number, obstacles in the process of resolving the crime of falsification of Motor Vehicle registration number and resolution efforts against counterfeiting of Motor Vehicle registration number.
