Abstract

Pendahuluan : Physical distancing adalah salah satu cara untuk mencegah penularan dan memutus rantai penyebaran Covid-19.  Saat ini seluruh kegiatan anak usia sekolah harus berada di dalam rumah, sehingga mereka mengeluh bosan karena tidak bisa bermain dengan temannya hal ini juga bisa mengakibatkan anak mengalami stres. Salah satu cara untuk mengurangi stres yaitu terapi audiovisual. Tujuan: Untuk meneliti pengaruh terapi audiovisual terhadap tingkat stres pada anak usia sekolah yang menjalani physical distancing di RW 01 Desa Wage Kecamatan Taman Sidoarjo. Metode: Desain penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian Quasy-Eksperimental dengan metode pre-test - post test control group. Sampel penelitian ini berjumlah 50 anak, yang dibagi menjadi 25 anak pada kelompok intervensi dan 25 responden pada kelompok kontrol dengan menggunakan teknik Simple Random Sampling. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah kuesioner melalui googleform. Analisa data menggunakan Wilcoxon Signed Rank dan uji Mann-Whitney (??0.05). Hasil: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh terapi audiovisual (film kartun) terhadap tingkat stres pada anak usia sekolah yang menjalani physical distancing dengan derajat signifikan ??0,05. Kesimpulan: Implikasi penelitian ini adalah untuk menurunkan stres pada anak usia sekolah yang menjalani physical distancing dengan melakukan terapi setiap hari selama satu episode film kartun

Abstract

This research motivated by the goal to achieve a listening improvement of elementary school students. The purpose of this research was to determine the improvement of listening skill of fifth-grade elementary school students by using subtitled video. Students are hoped to be able to reach their maximal achievement in score after doing it. The object of this research consisted of 34 students of elementary school. This research used experimental model with one group of pre-test and post-test design. The result of this research was subtitled video had significant influence for students’ listening skill in making a recipe. It is proven by increased score of students after taught using short animation subtitle. The data showed that the mean of students in pre-test was 56.62 and the mean score of post-test was 77. 94. Students felt enjoy and happy by listening subtitled video. They were not only studied the expression but also viewed the visualization of giving direction. That was enjoyable for them.

Abstract

The objective of this study intended to find out whether there is significance influence of internet based text material to the students’ reading comprehension on scanning and skimming for information to the Seventh Grade of SMP Wahidiyah. In this research text was specified on descriptive text. Descriptive quantitative research was implemented as the research design. The sample of this research was students from 7A at SMP Wahidiyah which consist of 41 students. They were given a pre-test and post-test. The result showed that the mean score before students taught using internet based text material was 68,41 and the score after being taught using internet based text was 93,4. The result of t-score was 17,59 and the t-table was 1,68 at the level of significance was 0,05. Furthermore, from the data it can be seen that the students’ score and their mean score was increased. Related to the hypothesis and the data analization, it can be concluded that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted and the null hypothesis (H0)was rejected. It means that there was significanct influence of internet based text material to the students’ reading comprehension on scanning and skimming for information to the Seventh Grade of SMP Wahidiyah.    
The Comic Strips: Its Usage for Solving Students’ Grammatical Problem in Writing Past Tense Putri Novitasari

Abstract

The objective of this study intended to find out whether there was significance influence of comic strips when it used to help eight grade students for solving their problem in writing past tense. In this research researcher applied comic strips as instructional media to teach them writing. Quantitative research with true-experimental research was implemented as the research design. The sample of this research consist of 34 students from one class of eight grade of junior high school. The result from post test showed that the students’ mean score before taught using comic strips was 57.32 and reached to 77.94 after the teacher apllied comic strips. The result of t-score was 10.493 and the t-table was 1.692 at the level of significance of 0.05. Furthermore, in corelation between hypothesis and data analyzation it can be sumed up that there was significant influence between comic strips and students’ writing in past tense.  The increasing of mean score proved that there was improvement on students’ writing skill in composing or writing past tense by applying comic strips as their instructional media for teaching and learning proccess.

Abstract

The objective of this study was to find out whether there was significance impact of word wall for solving students’ problem in writing a descriptive text. By this research researcher applied word wall in form of making sticky note to guide the students to compose sentences about describing place. Quantitative research was implemented as the research design. The sample was 36 students from seventh grade of junior high school. The result of post test showed that the students’ mean score before learned using word wall was 69.2 and reached to 82.5 after the teacher invited them to use ward wall. The result of t-score was 14.92 and the t-table was 3.59. Furthermore, it can be summed up that there was significant effect between word wall and students’ writing.  The increasing of mean score proved that there was improvement on students’ writing in composing descriptive text by applying word wall in sticky notes as the  media for teaching and learning process.
