Abstract

The period pandemic has required humans to minimize face-to-face meetings to avoid the spread of the COVID-19 virus. Churches have to adapt to changing cultures. Thus, the purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the application of the online shepherding method applied by the GSPDI Filadelfia Sejahtera Jombang Church during the pandemic. The research method used is a descriptive research method with a quantitative approach. The population of the study was the entire congregation of GSPDI Filadelfia Jombang, which amounted to 800 people, while the sample was taken as many as 77 people. Based on the research conducted, the majority of respondents have been able to adapt to a new culture of worship. Thus, the application of online worship is considered quite effective because it is able to help the GSPDI Filadelfia Sejahtera congregation in Jombang remain strong and hopeful, even though in the midst of a pandemic and limited by online media. AbstrakMasa pandemic telah mengharuskan manusia untuk meminimalisir adanya perte- muan tatap muka guna menghindari penyebaran virus Covid-19. Gereja harus beradaptasi dengan perubahan kultur. Dengan demikian, tujuan penelitian dilakukan untuk mengetahui efektivitas dari penerapan metode penggembalaan online yang diterapkan Gereja GSPDI Filadelfia Sejahtera Jombang di masa pandemi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh jemaat GSPDI Filadelfia Jombang yang berjumlah 800 jiwa, sedangkan sampel diambil sebanyak 77 Jiwa. Berdasarkan penelitian yang dilakukan, mayoritas responden sudah mam- pu beradaptasi terhadap budaya baru dalam beribadah. Dengan demikian, penerapan ibadah secara online dinilai cukup efektif dilakukan karena mampu membantu jemaat GSPDI Filadelfia Sejahtera di Jombang tetap dikuatkan dan berpengharapan, meskipun ditengah keadaan pandemi dan dibatasi oleh media online.

Abstract

This phenomenological research aims to describe the phenomenon of the ability to distinguish spirits possessed by the members of the Indonesian Muria Christian Church, Srumbung Gunung. There were six church members studied, consisting of men and women from various educational levels. By using a phenomenological approach, the ability to distinguish spirits is a complex reality. Science needs to understand this phenomenon empathetically so that it will be able to explore the wealth contained in it. A scientific approach that is too positivistic towards the phenomenon of the spirit will damage and shallow reality. Abstrak Penelitian fenomenologi ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan fenomena kemampuan membedakan roh yang dimiliki oleh jemaat Gereja Kristen Muria Indonesia Srumbung Gunung. Terdapat enam anggota jemaat yang diteliti, terdiri dari laki-laki dan perempuan dari berbagai tingkat pendidikan. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan fenomenologi menghasilkan bahwa kemampuan membedakan roh merupakan sebuah kenyataan yang kompleks. Ilmu Pengetahuan perlu memahami fenomena ini secara empatik sehingga akan dapat mengeksplorasi kekayaan yang terdapat didalamnya. Pendekatan keilmuan yang terlalu positivistic terhadap fenomena roh akan merusak dan mendangkalkan realitas.
