Abstract

The confusion of modern spirituality’s vision thought out a cultural model that destitute and insulted the sacred meaning oflife. Such situation expressed new awareness for the group ofcontemporary philosopher in rethinking a new vision of life. The new spirituality’s vision that presented by Chardin,Whitehead, and Marcel is an effort regarded to understand thecharacter and God’s relevance with the evolution of life. The newspirituality is drawn as a concrete thing or materialized. This newspirituality is often viewed in the contradictory with classical ideasof immaterialized transcendence. This kind of opinion is not true atall; because the contemporary spirituality is not an unwilling ofeverlasting truth of the transcendence vision of Allah, but thespiritual energy should be erected in nature, body, and societywhich are reflected as mystery mediation.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to inventory, describes, and critical analysis the nature evil of Whitehead's Process Philosophy.This research is pure library study. Data are collected from Whitehead's works. Philosophical-hermeneutics is usen in this research, namely, descriptive, comparative, and reflective.The results of this research are as follows:1. Evil is not "res" or a primordially entity. Evil parasitism (something adhere and destruction) goodness. Evil means nothing goodness.2. Evil is not a subjective or objective quality, but is relative and inter-relation quality. A something can be categorized as an evil or not, depend on the patterns of experience of the actual-entity society.3. Evil exist if the actual entity into unfication find suffering. This suffering is caused by degradation, destruction, and cross purpose.4. There are three ways to solve: triviality, aesthetics, and re-adjusment.5. Evil was regarded as an internal-inconsistency while God as Alpha-Omega does not know it. The nature of God is self-consistent.

Abstract

The research wants to describe the condition of press stifling in the New Orde. Then, it tries make a philosophical reflection about the condition of arangement and practical standart of jurnalism in Indonesia post New Orde.The research uses the "philosophical-hermeneutics" method. At the second stage, data are analyzed by philosophical reflection about the stifling of press in the New Orde. The data are collected by library inquiry.The result of this research are: at the end of New Orde regime, the stifling of press and the controling of press are still done. Threfore, there is no space for the press freedom at the time. The press freedom is the symbol of democration. The probelm of democration is really the only press freedom. It will be an agenda of probelm when we require the democratization in large scale. However, without some press freedom there is no ooportunity to get dome democration. It is the significant meaning of press freedom for attempting a democratization.

Abstract

Education Problems of Video Games in the Perspective of Jean Baudrillard’s Theory of Simulacra. In the era of digital age, we are witnessing how video games penetrate children’s daily life and it is believed to have some impacts on their cognitive and affective processes. Referring to hermeneutical approach, the present library research seeks to answer the question whether video games create a real identity or simply forge false consciousness in children. In the first step, the data were collected from bibliographi­cal sources that related to data. In the second step, the data were analyzed to examine the pedagogical-philosophical properties of the video games. The results indicate that video games change the way children view the world. Video games present the world as hiper-reality. Bu putting aside the negative values and maximizing the positive ones, the understanding of hiper-reality allows for the inculcation of children. Problem Pendidikan Video Games dalam Perspectif Teori Simulacra Jean Baudrillard. Permainan video games diyakini berdampak positif sekaligus negatif pada proses kognitif dan afektif anak.-anak. Terutama, video games berpengaruh pada proses internalisasi nilai-nilai dan pembentukan identitas mereka. Teknologi virtual yang disajikan oleh video games, seperti didekati oleh teori simulacra Jean Baudrillard, menyuguhkan jebakan akan realitas palsu. Melalui riset pustaka dengan metode "filsafat her­meneutis", dianalisis data untuk membangun refleksi filsafat pendidikan atas permainan video games itu. Hasil penelitian ini menyatakan video games menyuguhkan sebuah hiper-realitas dari simulasi realitas, atau simulacra dalam teori Jean Baudrillard. Simulacra adalah dunia yang terbentuk dari salinan realitas, yang menjadi acuan melebihi realitas asli. Disimpulkan bahwa video games menjadi semacam “ruang konseptual”, yang dibentuk oleh simulacra. Dengan mengenali hakikat hiper-realitas, video games dapat menjadi alat transfer pengetahuan dan pengalaman bagi anak-anak secara positif, dengan mengeliminasi dampaknya yang negatif.
