Abstract

As a great project, the integration and the inter-connection knowledge need a complex system include philosophy that combine the substantive and position of God (meta-cosmos), macro-cosmos (Nature), and micro-cosmos (The human). The knowledge dichotomy in Islam must be reunited by integration and inter-connection, but that efforts need setting of the mindset to avoid an error logical thinking of understanding about substantive, position and goal. The Social Tafseer TAM (God, Nature and Human) is one of alternative way to build the Islamic true logical thinking because it has many purposes in finding Allah`s blessing and also a systematic characteristic in the processes.

Abstract

This study aims to explore pesantren curriculum integration in Indonesia; the rapid development of pesantren today. And all types and variations are interesting to study, especially the curriculum models used by pesantren. Methods: This research uses literature studies, data analysis is carried out by content analysis, and data sources are obtained from articles in scientific journals that have been published. Results: The results show that the model of integration of the Islamic boarding school curriculum in Indonesia varies and gradually, not using only one model but a combination of various forms according to the level of students. The basic level uses cellular, connected, and integrated models; at high levels, it uses immersed and networked models. Suggestion: Various models of integrating the pesantren curriculum in Indonesia are inseparable from the background and socioculture of pesantren and the surrounding community. Therefore, it is recommended that Islamic boarding schools that intend to develop a curriculum involve the community to know what the needs directly and pay attention to technological developments.

Abstract

The madrasah head as the person in charge of educational institutions is a leader in the field of education who bears great responsibility and influence on the development of educational institutions. In line with this, the role of the madrasah principal will have a significant impact on the progress and development of education, with the aim of improving standards and human resources in the quality of education itself. This article aims to find out the strategy and implementation of the principal's leadership to build the growth of students with Islamic character, which is carried out at MI Muhammadiyah 12 Ngampel, Balong, Ponorogo. Therefore, there is a strategy in growing quality and good character students. This research is a field research with a qualitative approach, data collection through interviews, surveys, observations and documentation. This research uses qualitative methods to capture and translate phenomena and facts related to the leadership of the principal of MI Muhammadiyah 12 Ngampel. The results of this study show there are several strategies of the principal in shaping students, namely (1) being a role model for students; (2) Conducting dhuha prayer, dhuhur prayer in congregation, Tahfidz, and BTA every day; (3) implementing honesty, this is something that will be fundamental and very important in the formation of good character for students in accordance with the guidance of Islamic teachings; (4) Developing of manners and responsibilities related to behaviour, morals, and values in interpersonal interactions as well as in the context of class and society.
