Abstract

Barito Kuala is a regency located in South Kalimantan Province. Most people in Barito Kuala Regency are rice farmers. When the rice is harvested, the harvest is traditionally dried by using radiation from the sun. However, the utilization of solar energy cannot always be used for example due to weather effects. Harvested rice has a moisture content of 21-26%. According to the SNI standard (Indonesian National Standard), the maximum moisture content in rice grain to be marketed is 14%. The purpose of this research is to make a tool and measure the level of effectiveness for drying small-scale rice grain. testing is done by taking a portion of rice grain then put into a box type rice grain dryer and compared with drying that utilizes solar energy. The results of the data obtained that every 5 minutes have a difference in the decrease in water content of 2.18% for 20 minutes with an initial water content of 15.3%.Keywords : Rice grain dryer, drying media type, moisture level.

Abstract

Ideally, the combustion system system in the combustion chamber, this is an alarm in order to get the right combustion results and of course will make the motorcycle power with the right fuel consumption too. There are at least 3 (three) important factors that must be met by the combustion system in the combustion motorbike, especially for gasoline-type automatic motorbikes. These three factors include the existence of an ideal fuel and air mixture (good air-fuel mixture), the right timing of business performance in producing spark plug spark quality (good spark) and good combustion chamber (good compression). An air-fuel mixture that can produce a homogeneous mixing of fuel and air. The acquisition of perfect combustion is directly proportional to the quality of a good type of spark plug cable. The ability of the type of spark plug cable must be able to support high electric current processes to produce the ideal spark. In this study, the type of business cable used is the brand that is in the market, namely proteck, extreme, hitachi and standard cable types. Performed variation testing 4 (four) types of spark plug cables. The test results show the best engine performance of a gasoline-fueled automatic motorbike using extreme spark plug cables, with a torque of 5,669 Nm at 7854 rpm and a power of 6,252 hp at 7854 rpm

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the effect of modification camshaft with addition needle roller bearing on the left and right side. After that compare the engine performance with the standard camshaft on the motorbike Suzuki Satria F150. The method used is an experiment. The test is carried out on the dyno test by paying attention to the value of engine speed, engine power, and the highest torque produced without limiting the gas valve opening. The results showed that after modification with the addition of a needle roller bearing the highest engine power was 18.70 HP and 12.23 N.m of torque at an engine speed of 10,888 RPM. With the addition of a needle roller bearing to the camshaft, the engine power was increased by 2.08 HP and the torque value was increased to 2 N.m Keywords: camshaft, needle roller bearing, engine performance

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh performa mesin dan bentuk nyala api dengan berbagai jenis material busi pada motor injeksi 113 cc. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan metode experimen. Jenis material elektroda busi yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu nikel, iridium, dan tembaga. Penelitian ini membandingkan hasil performa mesin dari ketiga busi tersebut menggunakan dynotest. Putaran mesin yang diamati yaitu pada 3000 RPM - 5000 RPM. Untuk melihat bagaimana bentuk nyala api serta warna yang dipercikan oleh busi digunakan alat yaitu spark plug tester pada kondisi 3000 RPM dan 5000 RPM. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bentuk nyala api berpengaruh terhadap performa mesin daya dan torsi.Pada 3000 RPM,  ukuran luas percikan api pada busi tembaga yaitu 0,542 mm sedangkan pada busi nikel sebesar 0,762 dan busi iridium 1,137 mm. Pada 5000 RPM, ukuran luas percikan api pada busi tembaga yaitu 0,6 mm sedangkan pada busi nikel sebesar 0,973 dan busi iridium 1,239 mm. Luasan api tersebut berpengaruh pada performa mesin. Pada 3000 RPM performa busi tembaga tidak jauh dengan  busi nikel dan busi iridium. Pada 5000 RPM performa mesin menggunakan busi iridium paling baik sesuai dengan percikan api yang paling luas, selanjutnya busi nikel lalu busi tembaga pada urutan terbawah
