Abstract

Information technology has been used in the management of the library. There are several libraries have been integrated with the internet to provide services. But the library still image as an institution or an old building that contains the bookshelves and librarian profession under other professions. This article is presented to determine some of the challenges and strategies that can be done in fostering a positive image of the library. Based on the literature study and observation, its known, that the challenges are differences in educational background librarians, foster a positive image has not been planned, the development of information technology, the implementation of the code of ethics of librarians is not maximal. In the face of the challenges in creating a positive image, there are strategies that can be done that in terms of internal and external libraries. Thus, it can be concluded that, to foster a positive image of the library is needed strategies and synergies as well as the responsibility of all aspects of the library. Recommendation for librarians are important to develop personal branding. Furthermore, for the library after successfully building a positive image should be able to maintain and restore the image when a crisis.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the influence of the composition of perceptual task conflicts on group performance in non-profit organizations. In addition, this study also explores the role of moderators of collaborative conflict management on the influence of the composition of perceptual task conflicts on group performance. Data collection is done by questionnaire. Data were analyzed using hierarchical regression analysis. This study involved 232 respondents from 58 teams / working groups from non-profit organizations namely college scouts, libraries, village level government institutions, early childhood education, PKK organizations and dasa wisma. The results of hierarchical regression analysis indicate that the composition of perceptual task conflicts negatively affects group performance. However, there is not enough evidence of the role of collaboration conflict management in  with the influence of the composition of the conflict on the task of the group on group performance. Several implications are given based on the results of this study

Abstract

Dewasa ini perpustakaan telah mengalami kemajuan yang cukup pesat. Perpustakaan bukan sekedar tempat mengelola buku dan terbitan lain, namun juga mengelola sumber informasi dengan memanfaatkan teknologi informasi. Perkembangan pemahaman khususnya manajemen perpustakaan di Indonesia tentu saja tidak terlepas dari peran aktif para pustakawan ataupun pemerhati dunia kepustakawanan. Lasa Hs merupakan salah satu pustakawan yang telah banyak melontarkan pemikiran kepustakawanan dalam bentuk buku, kamus, ensiklopedi, makalah, artikel, dan lainnya. Dengan produktivitas itu, beliau mampu menunjukkan bahwa pustakawan mampu berprestasi sejajar dengan jabatan fungsional lain.Dengan prestasi ini beliau mampu menduduki jabatan fungsional pustakawan utama, golongan IV/e dan purna tugas pada umur 65 tahun dengan angka kredit/prestasi nyata. Tujuan penelitian ini, untuk mengetahui pemikiran Lasa Hs. Mengenai manajemen sumber daya manusia dalam kepustakawanan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dokumen. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan studi literatur dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa; (1) pemikiran Lasa Hs. menempatkan sumber daya manusia merupakan pilar utama dalam kegiatan perpustakaan; (2) fungsi manajemen sumber daya manusia menurut Lasa Hs. mencakup penyediaan staf, pengembangan sumber daya manusia, kompensasi, keselamatan dan kesehatan; (3) Lasa Hs. mempunyai pemikiran ke depan mengenai sumber daya manusia perpustakaan. Hal ini terlihat dari adanya kompetensi khusus yang harus dimiliki oleh pustakawan. Dari hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa peningkatan sumber daya manusia perlu mendapat perhatian utama karena sumber daya ini merupakan sumber daya bergerak, sedangkan sumber daya lain merupakan benda mati. Oleh karena itu, sumber daya manusia ini dapat dikembangkan dan ditingkatkan kemampuannya, yang hasilnya diharapkan mampu meningkatkan produktivitas dan kinerja perpustakaan. Pemikiran tentang manajemen sumber daya manusia perpustakaan ini terus dikembangkan melalui berbagai artikel, makalah, dan penulisan buku Manajemen Sumber Daya Manusia.

Abstract

Pustakawan merupakan jabatan fungsional yang diakui oleh pemerintah Indonesia. Pustakawan memiliki keleluasaan dalam menjalani jenjang karirnya. Syarat kenaikan pangkat dan jabatan pustakawan ditentukan oleh sejumlah angka kredit yang dikumpulkan dalam masa tertentu.  Angka kredit tersebut disusun dalam Daftar Usulan Penetapan Angka Kredit (DUPAK). Tim penilai bertugas menilai DUPAK dan hasilnya digunakan untuk kenaikan pangkat ataupun jabatan pustakawan yang bersangkutan. Kinerja tim penilai berperan penting dalam pengembangan karir pustakawan.  Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui bagaimana persepsi pustakawan terhadap kinerja tim penilai angka kredit jabatan fungsional pustakawan di Universitas Jenderal Soedirman. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode survey. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah kuesioner skala likert untuk mendapatkan data primer dan wawancara digunakan untuk memperdalam analisis data primer. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh pustakawan yang mengajukan DUPAK kepada tim penilai angka kredit pustakawan Universitas Jenderal Soedirman.   Analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan rumus mean dan grandmean, dengan menyusun pedoman pemaknaan terhadap skor yang didapat. Variabel kinerja dalam penelitian ini dipecah menjadi 3 subvaribel yaitu hasil kerja, perilaku kerja, dan pribadi yang berkenaan dengan pekerjaan. Hasil penghitungan skor rata-rata adalah 83,6 termasuk dalam kategori baik. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat diketahui persepsi pustakawan terhadap kinerja tim penilai angka kredit jabatan fungsional pustakawan Universitas Jenderal Soedirman adalah baik.

Abstract

Pada masa ini, dunia kepustakawanan mengalami masa transisi yang sangat besar terlihat dari sisi koleksi, sumber daya manusia, serta fasilitas fisik perpustakaan. Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) merupakan salah satu fasilitas penelusuran informasi yang diberikan untuk memudahkan temu kembali informasi di perpustakaan. Terdapat berbagai tampilan OPAC sesuai dengan software yang digunakan. Sejak tahun 2011 Perpustakaan di lingkungan Unsoed memberikan fasilitas OPAC Izylib. Meskipun demikian, sampai saat ini belum pernah dilakukan sebuah kajian mengenai kepuasan pemustaka terhadap pemanfaatan fasilitas tersebut. Kajian ini menggunakan metode survei dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dan tipe deskriptif dengan model analisis end-user computing satisfaction. Tujuan penelitian ini menganalisis tingkat kepuasan pemustaka dalam memanfaatkan OPAC Izylib di lingkungan Unsoed. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tingkat kepuasan pemustaka terhadap Online Public Access Catalogue “Izylib” di lingkungan Universitas Jenderal Soedirman berada pada kategori puas ditunjukkan dengan nilai mean 92,26. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut pengelola perpustakaan khususnya tim TI hendaknya dapat melakukan evaluasi sehinga tingkat kepuasan pemustaka terhadap pemanfaatan OPAC meningkat menjadi sangat puas.

Abstract

The development of information technology brings various changes in allaspects of life. In today’s era, the diversity of information sources with theease of access in search engines integrated into the internet becomes commonplace.The behavior of the user begins to change with the birth of the netgeneration. The library seems to be demanded by technological developmentsthat are so rapidly innovating in improving the quality of its services. Learningcommons is a concept that can be applied in libraries to always be closeto the user and not left them. This writing discusses various things relatedto learning commons. This study was conducted to determine the benefitsof learning commons and to know how the challenges and application oflearning commons in the library. This study uses literature study method.The results of the study show that the implementation of learning commonsin the library can strengthen the library’s brand image and improve thequality of library services. Based on these results can be concluded that theapplication of learning commons can be used as a service strategy in thelibrary and can defend the existence of libraries in the digital era.
