Abstract

Lighting is one of the important factors in the designing of room. This paper discusses about lighting in a room and its application in the interior of a hospital. There are two consideration, these are the principle of lighting of space and the factor of quantity and quality of lighting. This is a case study at the Superior Class Care Room of Lukas Building, Panti Rapih Hospital, Yogyakarta. Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia : Pencahayaan merupakan salah satu faktor penting dalam perancangan ruang. Dalam tulisan ini dibahas tentang pencahayaan pada ruang dan aplikasinya pada interior rumah sakit. Ada dua hal yang dipertimbangkan yaitu prinsip pencahayaan ruang, faktor kuantitas dan kualitas pencahayaan. Studi kasus yang dipakai adalah Ruang Rawat Inap Kelas Utama Gedung Lukas, Rumah Sakit Panti Rapih, Yogyakarta. Kata kunci: pencahayaan, interior, rumah sakit

Abstract

Perancangan ini bertujuan untuk mengolah sumber daya alam yang jumlahnya masih berlimpah di Indonesia dan menjadikan kayu kelapa sebagai material substitusi kayu-kayu di pasaran yang mulai langka. Metode perancangan yang digunakan terdiri dari delapan tahap.  Empat  tahap  pertama  adalah  memahami  material,  eksplorasi  joint,  mendesain  konektor  besi,  dan  melakukan  tes  terhadap kestabilan  konektor  tersebut.  Setelah  ditemukan  desain  konektor  besi  terbaik,  tahapan  berikutnya  adalah  mendesain  produk, merealisasikan produk, memasarkan produk, dan melakukan evaluasi. Hasil perancangan berupa tiga set produk interior yang terdiri dari  tiga  belas  produk  mulai  dari  mebel,  aksesoris,  hingga  elemen  interior.  Optimasi  yang  telah  dilakukan  menghasilkan  produk interior yang tidak hanya menawarkan desain yang premium, namun juga memiliki ketahanan produk yang juga baik.

Abstract

The emergence of Indonesian modern interior design begun by the opening of Liberalism in the Dutch East Indies. The establishment of new private enterprises and immigration of European were the connected factors in entering the modern concepts in interior design. Many schools that had been established since applying of Ethic Politic -especially technical schools - arose Indonesian modern designer pioneers and also arose a specific style of Indonesian modern design: Indo-European Style. The progress of communication technology in the late nineteenth century accelerated the influences of international movements in enriching the development of Indonesian modern interior design.

Abstract

As can be seen from its ornamental elements, the interior of the Santo Yakobus Surabaya Church expressed meaningful signs. These signs serve as a representation of the Catholic liturgy with universal characteristics that become a reference for the Catholic church design in all over the world. This paper aims to reveal the meanings of these signs from the point of view of Peircean semiotics. In this case, these signs are analyzed through the categories of icon, index, and symbol respectively and then combined with the analyses of denotation, connotation and social aspect. The analyses result that the signs in this church convey meanings not only related to the Catholic liturgy but also local and social contexts.

Abstract

The development of information and communication technology in the health sector is currently growing rapidly, as evidenced by the existence of an online registration system. The patient registration system at the Hasta Husada Special Surgical Hospital is still done manually, which requires patients to come to the hospital to register and have their data recorded by officers, then the patient waits to be called to be examined based on the queue number, this will take longer and can result in backlogs. patients in four patient registries. The aim of this research was to determine the influencing factors in designing an online general patient registration system basedm on WhatsApp API-gateway using the Wablas Website and WA Queue at the Hasta Husada Special Surgical Hospital. This research uses descriptive analytical research with a qualitative and quantitative approach. The data collection technique used is a questionnaire, then for problem solving using a fishbone diagram, from the problem the author has the idea to solve the problem by creating a WhatsApp-based online registration program with the Wablas Website and WA Queue, using the F test to determine the factors that influence the design of the registration system on line. The subjects in this study were 8 medical records officers in the registration section. The results of research using the Wablas Website and Queue WA applications show that the average scale for respondents is 2.60, where a scale of 2.60 is included in the agree category, so it is stated that respondents showed the highest score of 3.40, the criteria for agreeing in the ease of the patient registration process.It was concluded that the manual registration process for general patients at the Hasta Husada Special Surgical Hospital required the addition of a new registration system that could make things easier for staff and patients. As a consideration for the IT team and medical records officers to design a WhatsApp API-gateway based online registration system using the Wablas Website and WA Queue.

Abstract

Interior design in restaurants not only serves as a setting for food presentation but also functions as a medium for representing cultural identity. In the context of ethnic restaurants, the spatial atmosphere created through interior elements plays a crucial role in shaping an authentic dining experience. This study aims to analyze the application of East Javanese cultural elements in the interior design of Hallo Surabaya Kertajaya Restaurant as an effort to preserve Surabaya’s local culture. The background of this research arises from the growing tendency of urban communities to appreciate local values, both in culinary practices and spatial ambiance. A qualitative descriptive approach with a case study method was employed in this study. Data were collected through field observations, interviews with restaurant owners and users, and literature studies related to interior design and East Javanese culture. The design process was analyzed using the design thinking framework as a tool for analysis and design development. The results indicate that the integration of Arek Surabaya cultural elements—such as distinctive batik motifs, the use of local materials (wood, bamboo, and rattan), symbolic ornaments, and warm, adaptive spatial characteristics—strengthens the restaurant’s identity and enhances the overall quality of the spatial experience. These findings confirm that interior design based on local cultural values not only contributes to cultural preservation but also improves spatial atmosphere and user comfort.
