Abstract

This study aims to describe the suitability and benefits of the Integrated Teaching Professional Practice (PPKT) Program for Educational Management (EM) students in developing their competencies. The approach used is program evaluation using the Context-Input-Process-Product (CIPP) model which aims to collect accurate and comprehensive information so that it can be used to assist leaders to make further decisions to redesign, improve, or possibly stop the implementation of the program. The results showed that the PPKT program for EM students was not on target and needed to be stopped immediately or replaced with another program whose value was equivalent because: (1) Theoretically contextual, the PPKT was intended for students from study-based study programs so that it was not suitable for EM students; (2) From the Input aspect, students face the constraints of planning, implementing and evaluating learning, the weak competency of supervisors because their educational background is not from an education degree, teaching staff lack competency; (3) Based on the Process aspect, the PPKT implementation is not appropriate expected especially in teaching and research activities because the supervisor and tutor are not able to carry out their duties and functions properly; and (4) From the Product aspect, PPKT has not been able to improve teaching competence, educational research, educational creation and innovation. The acquisition of a high final score does not reflect their competence because more assessment is based on the subjectivity of tutors and tutors. Based on the results of the study, it was suggested that the Head of the EM Department need to reformulate the vision, mission and competency standards of graduates who are more referring to the competence of education staff, encouraging faculty leaders to immediately issue a decision to terminate the PPKT program for EM students and replace it with other programs with the same weight as PPKT.Keywords: context, input, process, product, PPKT.

Abstract

Special intelligent students are excellent human resources and are expected to make a major contribution to people's lives, including achievement in the academic field. With this extraordinary intelligence, special intelligent students should have high self-efficacy, but they are often found who are not confident in their abilities and have an impact on the learning achievement that is not optimal. This is because there are still some of them who do not have a good learning culture. This study aims to analyze the contribution of learning culture to the self-efficacy on special intelligent students in senior high school. This research was used a quantitative method with sampling based on the simple random sampling technique developed by Isaac and Michael. Data were collected using questionnaires, interviews, and documentation studies. Based on SPSS Ver.22 data processing, the results of the correlation test (r-test) show that there is a significant correlation between learning culture and self-efficacy of special intelligent students in a very strong and unidirectional level. The result shows that learning culture has a positive effect on the self-efficacy of special intelligent students. In the calculation of the coefficient of determination, it is known that the effect of learning culture on the self-efficacy of special intelligent students is 68.6%, while the remaining 31.4% is influenced by other factors not examined. It can be concluded that learning culture has a positive effect on the self-efficacy of special intelligent students. The better learning culture of special intelligent students, the higher their self-efficacy.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengumpulkan data empiris tentang pengaruh budaya belajar terhadap self-efficacy siswa cerdas istimewa di SMAN 78 Jakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan analisis regresi linear sederhana dan pengambilan sampel berdasarkan teknik simple random sampling dengan penentuan jumlah sampel yang dikembangkan oleh Isaac dan Michael. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan angket, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi. Berdasarkan pengolahan data SPSS Ver.22, hasil pengujian korelasi (uji-r) menunjukkan rhitung bernilai positif sebesar 0,829 > rtabel sebesar 0,304 dengan signifikansi sebesar 0,000 < 0,05, maka terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara budaya belajar terhadap self-efficacy siswa cerdas istimewa dalam tingkatan sangat kuat dan searah. Hasil perhitungan regresi linear sederhana menghasilkan koefisien regresi sebesar 0,845 yang diinterpretasikan budaya belajar berpengaruh positif terhadap self-efficacy siswa cerdas istimewa. Pada perhitungan koefisien determinasi diketahui pengaruh budaya belajar terhadap self-efficacy siswa cerdas istimewa sebesar 68,6%, sementara sisanya 31,4% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain yang tidak diteliti. Dapat disimpulkan budaya belajar berpengaruh positif sebesar 68,6% terhadap self-efficacy siswa cerdas istimewa. Semakin baik budaya belajar siswa cerdas istimewa maka akan semakin tinggi self-efficacynya.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of office layout on teacher performance at Madrasah Pembangunan UIN Jakarta. This type of research is quantitative with a linear regression analysis approach. This study uses probability sampling where the population is MP UIN Jakarta teachers. Of the total 165 sample teachers used in this study were 63 teachers from all levels with specifications, 34 MI teachers, 19 MTs teachers, and 10 MA teachers. The research instrument was a questionnaire, document study, and interviews. The questionnaire was used as the main data collection which was distributed to the research subjects, while document study and interviews were used as complementary techniques to obtain data. The research result states that there is a significant influence between the influence of office layout on teacher performance at MP UIN Jakarta. This can be seen from the data processing results of the calculation of SPSS ver 23, through statistical testing of the T-test. The results of the T-test value are 6.140 and T-table is 1.999 with a significance of 0.000. Using the test criteria T-count T-table and if the significance α (0.05), then H0 is rejected, then in the calculation of the coefficient of determination it is known that the effect of office layout on teacher performance at MP UIN Jakarta is 38.2% while the remaining 61.8% is influenced by other factors not examined. However, it can be suggested for a madrasah to pay more attention to the arrangement and area of office space for the freedom of teachers to move. As well as paying attention to what needs are needed by teachers to improve the quality and performance of their teaching.

Abstract

Abstract This study sought to investigate different features of contingency leadership theories to find a suitable model that can adapt to the changing context. This research is a qualitative study employing qualitative meta-analysis to achieve the aim of the study, which is discovering a suitable leadership model for volatile environment as well as situating the model into Indonesian Islamic educational context. Data were gathered from journal articles and books. The result shows that among the contingency leadership theory in the literature, the leadership model proposed by Vroom-Yetton-Jago can be considered more applicable to Indonesian Islamic educational context. However, some adjustment toward the model is needed, such as considering the concept of leadership substitute or leadership neutralizer introduced by Steven Kerr and John Jermier.AbstrakPenelitian ini berusaha untuk menelaah fitur-fitur dari empat teori kepemimpinan kontingensi untuk menemukan gaya kepemimpinan yang cocok digunakan pada konteks organisasi yang berubah-ubah. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan teknik kualitatif meta-analisis untuk mencapai tujuan penelitian, yaitu menemukan model kepemimpinan yang cocok untuk lingkungan organisasi yang berubah-ubah serta mengkontekstualisasikan model tersebut pada konteks pendidikan Islam di Indonesia. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berasal dari berbagai literatur seperti artikel jurnal dan buku. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa di antara empat teori kepemimpinan kontingensi yang dianalisa, model kepemimpinan yang dikemukakan oleh Vroom-Yetton-Jago dapat dianggap lebih aplikatif dalam konteks pendidikan Islam di Indonesia. Namun, diperlukan beberapa penyesuaian terhadap model tersebut, seperti mempertimbangkan konsep leadership substitute (pengganti kepemimpinan) atau leadership neutralizer (penetral kepemimpinan) yang diperkenalkan oleh Steven Kerr dan John Jermier.
