Abstract

This research aimed at investigating effectiveness of mini lab based cognitive conflict model application in physics learning on context, process and result components. This research used two types of data; they were primary data gained through observation and interview, and secondary data gained through documentation study. The instruments of research were interview guideline and observation sheet that was validated by using Aiken’s validation formula. The result in context component showed that teacher had fulfilled all criteria appropriately. It can be observed by the fulfillment of indicator of preparing syllabus, lesson plan, material characteristic and learning media. The result of process component showed that teacher and student had fulfilled process component well include indicator of student’s orientation in conflict, indicator of organizing students to learn, indicator of guiding individual and group investigation, indicator of developing and presenting the work, indicator of analyzing and evaluating. The result of result component showed that teacher was able to create learning evaluation properly. It showed by carried out of student’s cognitive learning achievement, the indicator of effective learning achievement, and the indicator of psychomotor leaning achievement. The conclusion of this research that mini lab based cognitive conflict model application in physics learning in context component, process and result is effective. Thus, mini lab based cognitive conflict model application in can be used in physics learning because it has been test it’s effectiveness.

Abstract

This study aims to improve student learning outcomes by using the Natural Environment Approach. The research method is quantitative research with this type of research is the type of research used is comparative while the research design is a control group pretest-posttest design. Based on the discussion of the results of research in class XI SMA Negeri 8 Tikep, it can be concluded that the use of the Natural Environment Approach can significantly improve student learning outcomes compared to learning using a conventional approach. Statistically tested with t value of 3.742> 2.014 ttable value so that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, which means an increase in learning outcomes using the Approach of the Natural Environment. The magnitude of the increase in learning outcomes can be seen in the post-test average score of 58.90 in the control class and 79.56 in the experiment. Therefore. From the SPSS output, it is known that "Mean Differen" shows the difference between the average student learning outcomes of the control class and the experimental class is 9.06.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the ability of students to solve problems on the concept of straight motion after the advance organizer learning model is applied. This research uses quantitative descriptive method with experimental research type pretest-posttest control group design. The subjects of this study were students of class X IPA at SMA Negeri 8 Tikep for the academic year 2019/2020, totaling 43 students spread over 2 classes, namely class X IPA 2 (as the experimental class) and X IPA 1 (as the control class). This research was conducted in August 2019 with the object of research being the ability of students to solve problems on the concept of straight motion. The data obtained from the results of the written test in the form of a description. The results of this study indicate that the average student learning outcomes increase. The average posttest learning outcomes using the advance organizer learning model in the experimental class was 81.02. Meanwhile, using the conventional learning model for the control class, the average value is 74.81. The results of the analysis of students' ability to solve problems in the experimental class obtained scores with very good criteria 47.6% and good 52.4%. While in the control class, scores with very good criteria were 18.12%, 72.7% good, and 9.1% enough.
