Abstract

Fish Sago is the result of diversification of fishing products that make use as traditional food of North Mollucas with the adding of Cakalang’s meat. This can help to increase the nutrition from sago palm by using a wood as the material tested. The purpose of this research is to know the level of proteins and fats on fish sago. The significance of this research is (1) to give the information to people about the processing of sago with Cakalang have a good enough nutrition values, (2) diversification and the developing of new fishing products have the economical values that important to the majority, right from public and private institutes that engaged with fish sago business. The examination of fish sago nutrition is at Environment Laboratory in Khairun University Ternate. The results showed that adds of Cakalang in sago can increase the protein level with 15,40%. However, the fats level in the fish sago more low with 1,31%.

Abstract

Prawns is the main export commodity in Indonesia for decades. The prawn's product that the most standout of Indonesia’s export which is frozen prawns from PT. MMC at Regency of Morotai Island, the only company that produced frozen prawns of Vaname (Litopenaeus vannamei) in province of North Maluku. The purpose of this research is to explain the production cycle of frozen Vaname prawns in PT. MMC. This research is expected can give the information about frozen Vaname prawns, and as the basic data for further research. The result showed that production cycles of frozen Vaname prawns in PT. MMC consists of: harvest, cleaning I and cleaning II, soaking Melside, sizing, measuring and compiling, freezing, glazing, packing and labeling, and saving in cold storage. The market of frozen Vaname prawns PT. MMPT already reached on to national and international markets.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian adalah merumuskan alternatis strategi prioritas pengelolaan perikanan tuna di Kab. Pulau Morotai. Adapun manfaat yang diperoleh antara lain sebagai rekomendasi bagi PEMDA Kabupaten Pulau Morotai melalui Dinas Kelautan dan Perikanan Pulau Morotai untuk pengembangan perikanan tuna. Penelitian dilakukan di Kabupaten Pulau Morotai selama tida bulan yaitu bulan Juni-Agustus 2018.Pengumpulan data dilapangan menggunakan metode survei.Dimana data yang diperoleh terdiri dari data primer dan data sekunder.Altaernatif strategi menggunakan analisis SWOT dengan terlebih dahulu mengidentifikasi faktor eksternal dan faktor internal usaha perikanan tuna di Kab. Pulau Morotai.Hasil identifikasi dan pembobotan serta skoring faktor internal memberikan nilai sebesar 2,834, sedangkan hasil skoring faktor eksternal sebesar 3,327.Berdasarkan nilai tersebut dari keempat alternative strategi yaitu strategi SO, Strategi ST, strategi WO, dan strategi WT, diperoleh strategi prioritas untuk pengelolaan adalah strategi SO.Strategi prioritas pengelolaan perikanan tuna di Kab. Pulau Morotai terdiri dari: (1) Menerapan model pengelolaan perikanan tuna terpadu; (2) Membuka peluang pasar melalui penetapan alur bisnis perikanan tuna dengan investor dari luar Kabupaten Pulau Morotai (dalam maupun luar negeri); (3) Manajemen pengelolaan yang baik, melalui program Koperasi nelayan.
