Abstract

This research aims to describe the types of deixis contained in the editorial of Kompas edition June 2020 and to describe the relevance between deixis in the editorial of Kompas and learning to writing exposition text. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The data source used is forty eight editorials of Kompas edition June 2020. The results of this research is the types of deixis contained in the editorial of Kompas edition June 2020 and its relevance in learning to writing exposition text in class X. The types of deixis contained in the editorial of Kompas edition June 2020 is five types of deixis, person deixis is 213 words, place deixis is 78 words, time deixis is 110 words, discourse deixis is 198 words, and social deixis is one word. This research can be used as teaching material in learning to writing exposition text, especially on basic competencies developing the contents of the exposition text in oral and/ writing.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the use of Quizizz in learning to recognize letters of the alphabet to kindergarten’s children in Wahyu Bhakti Islamic Kindergarten. The method used in this research is descriptive with a qualitative approach. The results found in this research indicate that Quizizz can provide convenience for teachers to carry out learning to recognize letters of the alphabet to kindergarten’s children during a pandemic like today. In addition, Quizizz can also make it easy for children to recognize the shapes of the letters of the alphabet.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to make a Java-based savings and loan cooperative information system design to accelerate and facilitate performance in managing the search and storage of loan data at cooperatives as well as to produce a Java-based savings and credit cooperative information system. The research method used by researchers is the grounded research method, which is a research method based on facts and uses comparative analysis with the aim of conducting empirical generation, establishing concepts, proving theories, developing theories, collecting data and analyzing data in the same time. The results obtained are designing a savings and loan cooperative information system to assist in processing employee data. The construction of this information system is expected to simplify and provide maximum service for employees as well as to facilitate cooperative staff in collecting loan transaction data for reporting, data and information management processes become more effective, produce faster outputs and there is no misappropriation of loan data input or the occurrence of data duplication.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the values of ethics and critical thinking skills in students. This study discusses how implementing ethical values in Indonesian language learning can build critical thinking skills for students. This research employs a literature study that relies on various literature to obtain research data, using a qualitative approach since the data produced is in the form of words or descriptions. The implementation of ethical values in Indonesian language learning is a strategic alternative solution to address the decline of morals in society and the educational environment. Abstract

The lyrics of the song “Garam dan Madu” by Tenxi, Jemsii, and Naykilla present a unique multilingual phenomenon by combining Indonesian, Javanese, and English within a single lyrical composition, making them highly relevant for sociolinguistic analysis. This study aims to identify and analyze the types of code-mixing used in the lyrics through a descriptive qualitative method, employing interpretation, classification, and data decomposition techniques. The results show that the song incorporates both inner code-mixing, reflected in the use of Javanese within Indonesian structures, and outer code-mixing, marked by the presence of English lexical elements. Additionally, the lyrics exhibit various forms of code-mixing, including insertion, alternation, and congruent lexicalization, each contributing to the song’s stylistic variation and expressive depth. Overall, the findings illustrate how multilingualism in contemporary Indonesian music functions as a creative tool for identity expression, cultural blending, and emotional nuance, highlighting the increasingly hybrid linguistic practices found in youth-centered musical works.

Abstract

The development of digital technology is transforming various aspects of life, including education, with Artificial Intelligence (AI) emerging as a significant innovation that has a profound impact. Socialization activities on the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) at SMKN 4 Kota Bekasi aim to enhance technology literacy among students and educators. These activities aim to enhance the understanding and awareness of students and educators at SMKN 4 Kota Bekasi regarding the basic concepts of AI, its benefits and risks, as well as how to integrate it wisely into the learning process. The activities also aim to build awareness of the importance of adapting to technology and to encourage innovation in the field of education. The methods used in the socialization activities include material presentations, interactive discussions, and demonstrations of AI applications in education. The results of the activities show an increase in participants' understanding of the potential and challenges of AI, as well as readiness to utilize AI in the learning process. This socialization serves as an initial step in building an educational environment that is adaptive to technological developments and capable of producing a competent generation in the digital era.
