Abstract

PT. Maspion III is a company engaged in household appliances products, In carrying out its production process activities PT. Maspion III experiences various problems. Clarisa products are products that are found reject or defective. because it is caused by suboptimal quality control. This can be seen from the number of reject or defect products. This study aims to determine the type of waste that causes defects, determine the capability of the production process, and provide recommendations for improvement in the production process. The research methods are quantitative and qualitative approaches to lean six sigma and yang and FMECA (Failure Mode and Effect Criticality Analysis). lean six sigma is a systemic and systematic approach to identifying and eliminating waste. FMECA (Failure Mode and Effect Criticality Analysis) is used as a reference for companies to take corrective actions to identify product critical points in the production process. The results obtained are waste that affects product quality, namely waste defect, there are two highest defects, namely floi with a cumulative presentation of 51% and a breakage of 65%. In August the capability process is 1.5012, In September the capability process is 1.6818, In October the capability process is 1.3727, In November the capability process is 1.4275, In December the capability process is 1.4366

Abstract

PT. WT is a company engaged in the manufacturing industry. To support the fulfillment of the above production results, this company already has several units of sophisticated CNC machines. However, in the application of this CNC machine, there are still problems when making bushing spare parts that have not been able to meet the very high market demand. This is because within 16 hours of effective work it only produces 120 pcs of bushing spare parts, while in 1 month the demand for bushing spare parts from consumers reaches 2,400 pcs. So that in this study, it is necessary to improve the time and quality of production which is more effective and efficient. The research that has been done with the title "optimization of bushing production time in the cnc turning process using the Taguchi method and root cause analysis (RCA)". The data obtained from the results of research with time parameters that must be achieved with the optimization of the cycle time response produced is 74.03 seconds or decreased by 14.37 seconds from factory standards. While the optimum condition is produced at the RPM condition of 3100; Feed of 0.8 mm / put; and Dept of Cut of 0.7 mm / put. With this implementation, the production of these bushing spare parts can increase by 16.33%. Thus, PT. Weiss Tech will be able to meet the target market demand.

Abstract

PT WTUR is a manufacturing whose production is PVC pipe. As a measure to improve quality and optimize work processes in the quality control department. The research aims to minimize the occurrence of impact test failures and provide recommendations for improvement so as to guarantee product quality and generate a sense of satisfaction obtained from consumers. The method used in this research is the lean six sigma method. The purpose of using the lean six sigma method is to reduce waste and determine the causes of the failure of the impact test results. In applying the lean six sigma method, the analysis method is used to determine the causative factors of the root cause using the fishbone diagram and root cause analysis (RCA) and to find out the steps for improvement in reducing the occurrence of load test failures on pipe quality using the failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA).

Abstract

CV Budi Luhur is a company that produces onion crackers as their main product. In addition, CV Budi Luhur also produces shrimp juice crackers. The company located in Tulangan Sidoarjo is not missed also with the name of failure. For example, in onion cracker products there are problems with taste and crispness so that there is a decrease in sales. Data processing begins by disseminating questionnaires to consumers, then identifying problems using FMEA methods and conducting interviews with companies so as to provide alternatives to determine the best composition for experiments and take the best level at each pre experiment aimed at consumers to be processed in the minitab19 application and draft proposals to compare consumer interest in old compositions and new compositions. From the results of data processing by using Taguchi in the results of the mean 2 population test conducted showed an increase in taste response and humility response where the taste response got interest by 53% from the initial 18% and the humility response got an interest of 58% from the initial 23%. This shows the similarity of the draft proposal is preferred by consumers in terms of taste and humility.
