Abstract

Surakarta City is one of a city in Indonesia which has chosen for developing as child friendly city. Child friendly city is the concepts of a city which ensure the rights of children, such as providing city park as recreative and cerative place for children. Therefore, city park in Surakarta should suitable with child friendly city concept. The research question is to know the suitability of city park in Surakarta with the concept of child friendly city. There are five components for assessing this suitability: (1) accessibility, (2) recreation utility. (3) sport utility, (4) supporting facilities and (5) vegetation. The research method uses quantitive method with deductive approach and scoring analysis technique. The result shown that all of city park in Surakarta is not suitable with the criteria above. From the research, we can conclude that is Surakarta should increase the quantity and quality of whole components of city park based on the child friendly concept. Therefore, child friendly city in city park can be implementated and have the impact to guarantee the needs of children for playing in comfortable and safe park.

Abstract

The nodal’s region is a region that is functionally dependent between the center (core) and the peripheral area (the area served). The existence of the order level in each center also affects the size of the service area served. The Sragen regency that is applying the concept of nodal region has two residential center; “urban Sragen” and “urban Gemolong”. Although urban Gemolong has become a nodal center of settlements for the six sub-districts which are the area of service but there are still services that are not available such as universities, museums and theaters. Apart from that, the location of Gemolong urban service area that is close to Solo, Porwodadi, and Boyolali, in which have higher order(hierarchy) would attract people in the outskirts to meet the needs of their settlement services into these cities. Therefore, this study is aim to identify the effectiveness of urban Gemolong as a settlement service center in the Sragen regency. There are two objective of this research; (1) First to identify the condition of urban service of Gemolong as settlement service center in Sragen regency in terms of effectiveness variable of settlement service center and, (2) secondly analyze the effectiveness of urban Gemolong as settlement service center in Sragen regency. The research approach used is deductive, with the quantitative research type using scoring analysis. Survey conducted for this research is the primary survey in the form of observation, and secondary survey in the form of data review. From the result, the effectiveness Gemolong urban which has three variables there is only one variable is suitable (service purpose), while service efficiency and affordability are not suitable. The effectiveness of the urban Gemolong as settlement service center in Sragen regency is approaching into effectiveness, which means it has not been effective, so it needs to be improved, especially for the availability and scope of services.

Abstract

Kota Surakarta mempunyai sejarah baik tentang penanganan difabel mulai dari menjadi kota rujukan Asia Pasifik dalam penyelenggaraan rehabilitasi difabel pada tahun 1957, memperoleh piagam kebijakan inovasi tahun 2014 dari Zero Project Internasional, menjadi nominator 15 besar dari 155 kota akses difabel yang dilaksanakan di Vienna tahun 2014 sejarah yang baik ini manjadikan kota surakarta sebagai surganya para difabel yang telah menarik difabel untuk datang ke Surakarta guna mendapatkan pelayanan yang dibutuhkannya. Dengan sejarah yang baik dan penghargaan yang beragam maka harusnya kota Surakarta telah menyediakan semua kebutuhan difabel baik itu pelayanan sosial sampai pada pemenuhan sarana prasarananya tanpa terkecuali. oleh karena itu, pentingnya meneliti kesesuaian pemenuhan kebutuhan difabel tuna netra dan tuna daksa terhadap kriteria kota ramah difabel untuk dapat ,mengetahui seberapa besar tingkat kesesuian kota surakarta dalam meraih predikat sesuai dengan standar kota ramah difabel yang dilihat dari enam kriteria yaitu transportasi umum, rehabilitasi, pendidikan, bantuan alat, peran serta pembangunan dan lapangan pekerjaan. Peneliti menggunakan teknik analisis skoring untuk mengetahui nilai dan bobot dari masing-masing kriteria indikator pada masing-masing variabel. Abstract

Regional economic growth can not be separated from the contribution of economic sectors, one of them is industrial sector. Development of information and technology change society becomes more critical creating creative and innovative human resources including in the industrial sector, known as the creative industries. On the other hand, efforts to accelerate economic growth through local economic development (LED) can be supported by the activities of industrial centers. Therefore, the application of the concept of the creative industrial centers can support the region's economic growth, especially through economic development locally owned by an area. Masaran Batik Industrial Center is one axis of the local economy in Sragen. This industrial centers has contributed greatly to the Sragen District is in employment and increase in revenue. Local economic growth of Masaran Batik Industrial Center can be increased by applying the concept of creative industries center in particular craft subsector. To that end, the purpose of this research is to find out the conformity ofMasaran Batik Industrial Center as a creative craft industrial center, as a whole and based on 14 criteriasof creative craft industrial center. The method in this study using quantitative analysis techniques, which consists of the scoring method, Analytic Hierarchy Process and the ssubstitution of equation. The results of this study stated that Masaran Batik Industrial Center included in the appropriate closer classification as a creative craft industrial center. It is caused by two criteria thataren’t included in the appropriate classification, such as accessibility and infrastructure. Therefore, these criteria need to be upgraded to fit creative craft industrial center in Masaran Batik Industrial Center

Abstract

City has main attraction for livable. The public has the view that a town has a comprehensive facilities , good accessibility , a broad field of work and so on. This matter causes population growth developments in the city, because people migrating to the city livelihood for the sake of more worthy. The increasing population is not balanced with the service especially in the field of housing the city settlement that will appear squatter. So that the squatter need to be handled, in general the handling of having two pattern handling squatter approach , that is a pattern on-site and off-site. On site pattern is a problem handling squatter location without move to another region but with providing a place of decent housing. While off site pattern is handling by moving the squatter to the regions and with the status of land was legal. In fact both handling is to improve social life and economic society. One of squatter handling in Surakarta is build a low cost apartment. The limited land in Surakarta is one of the reason to build a low cost apartment in the Surakarta City for handling squatter. Based on issues, this research knowing comparisons of socio-economic change in the low cost apartment post-handling squatter. The method is applicable in weighting analysis methods in identifying the social economy at low cost apartment in Surakarta. This result oh the research re the comparisons of socioeconomic aspects of changes on residents after handling squatter in Surakarta can be seen that in Begalon I low cost apartment experienced a medium increase, while in Begalon II low cost apartment and Semanggi low cost apartment increased low. So that the change in the economic and social aspect of Begalon I low cost apartment with on site pattern has the higher than Begalon II low cost apartment and Semanggi low cost apartment with off site pattern. Keywords: low cost apartment, socioeconomic aspects, squatter

Abstract

Solo city which is formed from a long history has a distinctive character that is on aspects of culture and history. History and culture can not be separated from the development of the city because the city is also formed from past activities that become historical value in the present. One area in the city of Solo which has a strong historical and cultural character is “Kampung Laweyan”. It makes “Kampung Laweyan” become one of the unique areas and has potential that can be developed, the potential and unique characteristics of Kampung Laweyan is as a tourist attraction that presents cultural attractions and traditions that are still thick, especially the culture and tradition of batik. But the development of science and technology, making the historical and cultural aspects of urban development is increasingly lagging behind. The existence of “Kampung Laweyan” which put forward the historical and cultural aspects in its development also increasingly degenerate, so that the vitality of this region is also declining. Therefore in 2004 the revitalization began to revitalize the area into a tourist destination. This revitalization also reviewed its suitability as the Heritage Tourism Area. This research aims to determine the level of suitability Aspects of revitalization Tourism Laweyan Heritage Area. The method used in this research is deductive through scoring technique analysis. The data used are primary data through field observation and interview and secondary data through document study. The result of the research shows that only the aspect of the activity actor has the corresponding value while the other two aspects of tourist attraction and physical facility have unsuitable value. So that the overall assessment of conformity Aspect Revitalization of Heritage Tourism Area also has unsuitable value.

Abstract

Housing and settlements is fundamental human need to do daily activities for the survival of mankind. The community in determining the location of settlements have basic considerations that affect them in choosing a location for a settlement. The basic consideration is composed of several factors, including accessibility, environment, job opportunities, level of service, in addition to psychological factors, socioeconomic factors and historical cultural factors. Basically the location of settlements or housing are not allowed on the mountain slopes are potentially landslide disaster. Landslide that is threatening the survival of human beings who lived in the area. The danger of a disaster is a natural or artificial phenomena which have the potential to threaten human life, loss of property and damage to the environment. The area of the slopes of Mount Lawu which has a dense contour and topography make settlement patterns that are located in the area most are clumped as well as the distance between one another with their distance. There are several factors that affect the formation of settlement patterns, namely economic, cultural, institutional and customs. The issue of this study is to examine how the influence factors of settlement in the area of  landslide-prone Magetan against  pattern of settlement that is formed in the area. This study discusses the characteristics of the factor pattern of distribution in the community, the establishment of settlements and the influence factors of settlement against the spread pattern of settlement in the area of the landslide-prone Magetan by using multiple linear regression analysis. The community has its own considerations against the selection of the location of the settlement which made slopes be settled and be against the formation of settlement patterns in the Poncol Districts and Plaosan Districts which located on the slopes of Mount Lawu. Of research results obtained in the area of community based factors prone to landslide has no influence on the pattern of the spread of settlements that was formed in the area.

Abstract

City plays important role making the city owns its high enchantment. This could effect on the emerging of city’s problems, where the city could not accommodate to all the complexity of people interest. Those problems need a new strategy to solve city’s problem which is more suitable to globalization era. The suitable solution is creative city which means city must be attractive by optimizing city’s local potentials. Surakarta, since 2013 has been established by the Ministry Of Tourism and Creative Economy of Indonesia to be a creative city of design by UCCN (UNESCO Creative City Network). There is much potency supporting Surakarta to be city of design. The existence of creative industries such as batik and furniture, various creative communities, creative spaces (Benteng Vastenburg, ISI, batik training organizations), and also various events based on cultural are good aspect to be considered. This research has purpose on knowing the readiness of Surakarta in implementing Creative City Of Design. The boundaries of this research are readiness of creative economy, readiness of creative community, readiness of creative space, readiness of leading, and readiness on holding events. This action then is followed by analyzing the readiness score of Surakarta as creative city of design. The research finding shows the readiness scales of Surakarta as creative city of design based on the five requirements that creative city must have. The research shows that Surakarta is not ready yet to be a creative city of design. There are some criterias that have not been accomplished. Creative economy, creative space, and experience in holding event are the lowest supporting aspect. Creative economy is the average in supporting creative city of design. Then the leading is the only one aspect who is ready in supporting implementation of Surakarta as city of design.  Keywords: creative city, city of design

Abstract

The development of medium and large scale industries are agglomerated in Mojosongo-Teras started in 2004, the development of the industry led to the pull of labor migration as a form of labor compliance, while also developing new economic activity. With the increasing population and the development of new economic activities, the settlement that have a role as a container that helped develop. The development of settlements in the area affected by industrial agglomeration characterized by an increasing number of buildings, increase the intensity of land use residential, residential facilities and service improvement. The problem in this research to know how to influence the development of medium and large scale industries are agglomerated against settlements in Mojosongo-Teras, Boyolali. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect brought about by the development of medium and large scale industries are agglomerated to the surrounding settlemets. The analytical method used in the method of scoring each sub variables of industrial and residential development, while also using the matrix method to determine the magnitude of the effect of the influence industrial development of the settlement. The result obtained are the development of medium and large scale industries are agglomerated in Mojosongo-Teras effect on the development of the settlement. High-level influence can be interpreted that the development of settlements in the area affected Mojosongo-Teras industrial agglomeration is strongly influenced by the conditions and level of industrial development in the region. Keywords: Agglomeration, Industrial Development, Settlement

Abstract

Abstract:.Cemani Village/kelurahan Cemani is one of regions in Kecamatan Sukoharjo, which is one of the industrial area. as listed in Sukoharjo Regional Spatial Plan year 2014, Cemani village located around the huge industrial company such as Batik Keris compan,Dan Liris company, Konimex company, and Sobisco company. The problem in this research is how is the classification characteristics of industrial area and how it affected residential areas of Sukoharjo Cemani? The purpose of this study was to determine the classification of the characteristics of industrial impacts on residential areas that affected by industrial areea at Cemani Sukoharjo. The method used is the deductive research methods with quantitative research. Technique of analysis that used is descriptive analysis. This research conclusion is the impacts of the major industries in Sukoharjo Cemani settlement are: the emergence of the settlement of labor / industrial workers, the emergence of slum area, water pollution and flood the area. Cassification of this bad impacts of the industrial area to the physical environment can be perceived by people’s settlement in  0-500 m> 500m - 1kilometer, and> 1 kilometer from the industrial area.  Keywords: Industrial Impact, Industrial Impact Classification, Industrial Settlement Areas
