Abstract

The city has a problem that often arises due to the construction of their own city. To prevent that, city management needs through a sustainable approach to the concept of planning. Now, the concept of smart city is developing, where several major cities in Indonesia have started implementing the concept. Surakarta be a pioneer in the use of technology of transportation commonly called Intelligent Transport Systems(ITS). Surakarta indicated to apply the concept of smart city. Together with Indosat, subsidiary of PT. Starone Partner Telecommunications (SMT) cooperate to apply the concept of smart city in Surakarta for example, e-transportation. E-transportation similar to the principle of smart mobility in the theory of smart city. Howerver not only the application of smart mobility technology, but also need to look at the aspects that provide comfort, security, and sustainability.This study wanted to see the level of readiness of Surakarta to smart mobility dimension as part of the smart city concept. The aspects of this research are local accessibility, international accessibility, multi-modal access, information and communication technology infrastructure supporting urban mobility, sustainable transport and safety. The analytical method used in this research is the analysis technique of scoring which  assess the readiness of each aspect and the overall readiness. The results showed that Surakarta belongs to the category ready but conditional on the application of smart mobility. This means Surakarta need to do several requirements either repair or procurement in some aspects. Aspects that have been prepared but has some requirements which need to be done are the aspect of local accessibility, international accessibility, multi-modal access, and information and communication technology infrastructure supporting urban mobility. Sustainable transport and safety aspects belong to the category not ready to support the implementation of smart mobility in Surakarta. Keywords: smart city, smart mobility, smart transportation

Abstract

Kota Surakarta mempunyai sejarah baik tentang penanganan difabel mulai dari menjadi kota rujukan Asia Pasifik dalam penyelenggaraan rehabilitasi difabel pada tahun 1957, memperoleh piagam kebijakan inovasi tahun 2014 dari Zero Project Internasional, menjadi nominator 15 besar dari 155 kota akses difabel yang dilaksanakan di Vienna tahun 2014 sejarah yang baik ini manjadikan kota surakarta sebagai surganya para difabel yang telah menarik difabel untuk datang ke Surakarta guna mendapatkan pelayanan yang dibutuhkannya. Dengan sejarah yang baik dan penghargaan yang beragam maka harusnya kota Surakarta telah menyediakan semua kebutuhan difabel baik itu pelayanan sosial sampai pada pemenuhan sarana prasarananya tanpa terkecuali. oleh karena itu, pentingnya meneliti kesesuaian pemenuhan kebutuhan difabel tuna netra dan tuna daksa terhadap kriteria kota ramah difabel untuk dapat ,mengetahui seberapa besar tingkat kesesuian kota surakarta dalam meraih predikat sesuai dengan standar kota ramah difabel yang dilihat dari enam kriteria yaitu transportasi umum, rehabilitasi, pendidikan, bantuan alat, peran serta pembangunan dan lapangan pekerjaan. Peneliti menggunakan teknik analisis skoring untuk mengetahui nilai dan bobot dari masing-masing kriteria indikator pada masing-masing variabel. Abstract

Regional economic growth can not be separated from the contribution of economic sectors, one of them is industrial sector. Development of information and technology change society becomes more critical creating creative and innovative human resources including in the industrial sector, known as the creative industries. On the other hand, efforts to accelerate economic growth through local economic development (LED) can be supported by the activities of industrial centers. Therefore, the application of the concept of the creative industrial centers can support the region's economic growth, especially through economic development locally owned by an area. Masaran Batik Industrial Center is one axis of the local economy in Sragen. This industrial centers has contributed greatly to the Sragen District is in employment and increase in revenue. Local economic growth of Masaran Batik Industrial Center can be increased by applying the concept of creative industries center in particular craft subsector. To that end, the purpose of this research is to find out the conformity ofMasaran Batik Industrial Center as a creative craft industrial center, as a whole and based on 14 criteriasof creative craft industrial center. The method in this study using quantitative analysis techniques, which consists of the scoring method, Analytic Hierarchy Process and the ssubstitution of equation. The results of this study stated that Masaran Batik Industrial Center included in the appropriate closer classification as a creative craft industrial center. It is caused by two criteria thataren’t included in the appropriate classification, such as accessibility and infrastructure. Therefore, these criteria need to be upgraded to fit creative craft industrial center in Masaran Batik Industrial Center

Abstract

Kotagede as the capital city of the former Mataram Islam kingdom has potential culture and history tourism which places in two different areas, Yogyakarta City  and Bantul region. It needs contribution between Yogyakarta government, local government and local communities to protect Kotagede. The development of tourism activities also need support from all stakeholder to make the tourism sustain. Therefore, this research was conducted to determine the level of integration of tourism development components as the area of sustainable cultural tourism in Kotagede. The method of research is deductive-quantitative, while the data analisys technique used is  descriptive analysis of quantitative, scoring and crosstab analysis. Results from this study is Kotagede judged to have met the criteria as a sustainable cultural tourism area with an integrated component of tourism development. However, when viewed from the stakeholder cooperation that occurred in the development of tourist areas, Kotagede showed a low value. Thus, although the components of tourism development Kotagede shows the alignment of sustainability, but the resulting relationship is still weak. Keywords:cultural tourism area, integrated tourism, sustainable tourism, tourism

Abstract

City plays important role making the city owns its high enchantment. This could effect on the emerging of city’s problems, where the city could not accommodate to all the complexity of people interest. Those problems need a new strategy to solve city’s problem which is more suitable to globalization era. The suitable solution is creative city which means city must be attractive by optimizing city’s local potentials. Surakarta, since 2013 has been established by the Ministry Of Tourism and Creative Economy of Indonesia to be a creative city of design by UCCN (UNESCO Creative City Network). There is much potency supporting Surakarta to be city of design. The existence of creative industries such as batik and furniture, various creative communities, creative spaces (Benteng Vastenburg, ISI, batik training organizations), and also various events based on cultural are good aspect to be considered. This research has purpose on knowing the readiness of Surakarta in implementing Creative City Of Design. The boundaries of this research are readiness of creative economy, readiness of creative community, readiness of creative space, readiness of leading, and readiness on holding events. This action then is followed by analyzing the readiness score of Surakarta as creative city of design. The research finding shows the readiness scales of Surakarta as creative city of design based on the five requirements that creative city must have. The research shows that Surakarta is not ready yet to be a creative city of design. There are some criterias that have not been accomplished. Creative economy, creative space, and experience in holding event are the lowest supporting aspect. Creative economy is the average in supporting creative city of design. Then the leading is the only one aspect who is ready in supporting implementation of Surakarta as city of design.  Keywords: creative city, city of design

Abstract

Garbage was one of the environmental problems. As time goes by, garbage has become that cause new problems like water pollution, air pollution, flood and others. Most of people seeing garbage as unused items that cannot work and then system of garbage management by government did not function properly. Today begins to develop a sustainable garbage management with community role to managing garbage. One of the part of sustainable garbage management is garbage bank method. In sustainable garbage management method particularly with garbage bank must be adjusted and considered by environmental conditions local settlements in order to successful, the aspect related to housing components such as physical environment, economy, community, law, culture and the availability of utilities have an important relation in the development  of sustainable garbage management.This research wants to know what is relationship between housing components and success of garbage bank method on sustainable garbage management, and the next step is identfy housing components and success of garbage bank in two area, RW IX Kelurahan Kadipiro and RW II Kelurahan Gajahan with scoring analyse and finally do the crosstab analyse to determine the relationship between both of them. The conclusion is a housing components with individual aspect such as nature, society, shell and network have important relation with the success of garbage bank  method. This research is to identfy the housing components and success of garbage bank method in two case studies, so we can determine the relationship between both of them in RW IX Kelurahan Kadipiro and RW II Kelurahan Gajahan, Surakarta. Keywords: sustainable garbage management, garbage bank, housing components

Abstract

Solo Baru region has a very strategic location and were originally intended for residential areas, but then experienced a rapid development of economic activities. The development of economic activity is the most visible trade activities and services that continue to increase precisely since 2002. The development of trade and services activities is of course have an influence on land use changes that occur rapidly in Solo Baru region. Based on these issues, the formulation of the problem in this research is how the influence brought about by the development of the activity of trade in services to changes in land use. In line with these problems, this study aims to determine the effect of the development of trading activities and services to changes in land use Solo Baru Region. The method used is quantitative descriptive to determine the level of development to later described spatially. These results indicate that the development of trade and services activities has encouraged the development of other activities either similar activities (commercial) as well as supporting activities (housing, public services, and industry) so the impact on the provision of land. The need for this land that drives the changes in land use, both in terms of area, intensity, and land use patterns are formed. Developments are vertically making it more influential in the development of land compared to the intensity of the land area. Besides land development patterns that are formed are random pattern of development as the region woke formed does not have a specific shape (sporadic) and develop segmental. Keywords: Activities Development, Trade and Services Activity, Land Use Change

Abstract

Serang city is the Capital City of Banten Province. As the time goes by, the population increases and the poor people needs an access to have a home. There are two housing environments, which is called “simple healthy housing environment” to help the poor people ,which are Banten Indah Permai and Bumi Serang Timur, but the condition is the housing environments are lack of infrastructures and facilities. This problem makes a question how the suitability of simple healthy housing environment in Kota Serang is. The suitability study of simple healthy housing environment in Serang city is done by using scoring method analysis to count the suitability of the simple healthy housing environment standards as the output and perception of the people inside the housing environment as the outcome of this simple healthy housing environment. Descriptive comparative analysis is used also to know how output and outcome can match each other in the housing environment. Final scoring result obtained that Banten Indah Permai has been classified as suit in output because of the 58 score , but Bumi Serang Timur is not suit in output because it has 55 score. In outcome scoring, Banten Indah has been classified as suit in outcome for the 76,94 score, and also for Bumi Serang Timur has 75,68 for the outcome score. With comparative analyisis, this study also obtained that there are many infrastructure and facilities in housing environment which are not give the outcome as usual the housing environment gives. Keywords: simple healthy housing, suitability,  scoring, environment,

Abstract

The development of city at this time tend to increase rapidly with the growing of built-up area as happened in Solo Baru Region. Then, appears compact city concept, The concept focuses on centralizing development in an area which is able to maximize the available land in the form of intensification of land use in a way that diverse land use in order to protect the environment (nature) vicinity of the possibility turned into urban areas. Meanwhile, urban compactness is a method for measuring how compact the region. This research was conducted by the administrative border of villages in Solo Baru Region. The problem in this research  how was the influence of urban compactness toward the level of green space availability in Solo Baru Region? The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of urban compactness toward the level of green space availability. Methods for determining urban compactness with assessing of three variables, namely the density, mixed-use and public transportation. While the level of availability of green space views based on availability to the population and territory. The method used the descriptive-quantitative analysis using scoring and descriptive-spasial. The results showed there is an influence on the level of urban compactness towards green space availability. The level of urban compactness influence on the green space availability was high in 2002 and also high in 2016. This research recommendations in the planning area is the availability of green space should be increased in prone compaction areas.Keywords: compact city, urban compactness, level of green space availibility
