Abstract

This study aims, formulate design of Rusunawa service space based  on Post Occupancy Evaluation.The approach used in this study is qualitative rationalistic, that emphasize the empiri meaning, intellectual understanding and the ability to maintains logic supported by relevant empirical data. Object of research is Rusunawa in Surakarta and its surroundings. Samples studied are a group of Services space in Rusunawa, consisting of individual service each unit house : Kitchen, warehouse / storage, KM / WC, wash dishes, wash clothes, the clothes drying. And communal service space consisting of: landfills, parking lots. The sampling technique is porpusive of maximum variation, that means taking a sample that has information about the service space. Model Rusunawa service space designed based on the type of occupant activities, evaluation / assessment of the best performance of each service spac, the best perception of occupants indicated by behavioral responses, an ideal precedent servicing space obtained from results of field surveys, comparative studies and standards or the basic criteria design of service space Rusunawa.

Abstract

Hunger and poverty countermeasure was appointed to be the first target in the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) global mandate. It is relevant with Indonesia’s condition in the last three years in which the amount of poverty-stricken people grew significantly. To boost the population’s economy to a sustainable level, Solo’s City Government try to give more space to the informal sectors in the city. This policy doesn’t aim to improve the economy quantitatively but also equitably by facilitating the informal sectors, so that they can compete with the formal sectors that are dominated by the “big companies” as in nearly every big city in Indonesia.One of the growing informal sectors is the street vendors. Relocation and stabilization are the two programs run by the Surakarta government to give a better chance for the street vendors to survive the competition with the formal sectors. Hundreds even thousands of street vendors in Solo has been regulated to empower the city’s local economy. The factors that influence the success of the street vendor regulation isn’t only perceived from the city’s aesthetics, which always became the main reason, but also perceived from the quality growth in activity performance after the program has been done to ensure sustainability.The success of the street vendor regulation must be seen from the street vendor’s perspective. Unique character and street vendor behavior that vary richly must be known to ensure the street vendors can accept the planned program. In order to point out the location character role in the city’s spatial arrangement strategy, the focal point of this research is exploring the factors that influence street vendor regulation adjusting with the needs and demands of street vendors

Abstract

PKL sebagai bagian dari sektor informal mempunyai karakteristik aktivitas berbeda dengan pedagang sektor formal. Selain itu, PKL juga memiliki karaktersitik khusus dalam memilih lokasi berdagang. Dengan alasan-alasan tertentu, PKL memilih lokasi yang tepat untuk menjaga keberlangsungan usaha dagang/pelayanan mereka yang sesuai dengan persepsi yang dimiliki. Karakteristik berlokasi PKL memiliki hubungan dengan karakteristik aktivitasnya, antara lain: luas tempat berdagang, jenis sarana dagang, lama berjualan dalam sehari, lama transaksi, jumlah konsumen, dan asal konsumen. Sedangkan karakteristik berlokasinya terdiri dari 4 hal yaitu jenis aktivitas yang didekati, pola pengelompokkan usaha, sifat layanan, dan kedekatan dengan konsumen. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara karakter berlokasi PKL dengan karakter aktivitasnya. Untuk mengetahui hubungan tersebut dilakukan analisi crosstab. Berdasarkan hasil analisis tersebut, ditemukan bahwa aktivitas yang dilakukan PKL akan berpengaruh terhadap keputusan PKL dalam berlokasi. Hal ini terlihat pada hubungan yang terjalin antara jenis aktivitas yang didekati PKL dengan jenis sarana dagang, jumlah konsumen, dan asal konsumen; hubungan antara pola pengelompokkan PKL dengan luas tempat berdagang dan lama transaksi; sifat layanan PKL yang berhubungan dengan jenis sarana dagang, luas tempat berdagang, dan asal konsumen; dan hubungan antara kedekatan dengan konsumen dengan jumlah konsumen.

Abstract

Surakarta city is one of the first five cities that became a model in applying the concept of child friendly city. As one of the city that became the modeling of the concept of child friendly city, the city of Surakarta has made many changes to be able to realize the concept. But in Surakarta decent towards the child does not mean there are no issues. One of the problem that happens is in the field of education, especially primary schools like a gap of educational standards, filling the needs of the educational infrastructure is still not fulfilled, and the safety and comfort of children both within and outside the school. Issues contained in the education sector will have a negative impact in the process of realizing the child friendly city in Surakarta. Research question is how the role of primary education in creating child-friendly city in Surakarta. The research method is the type of deductive -quantitative research with technique analysis is descriptive quantitative and descriptive spatial by describing the spatial conditions in the field. The results of this researchis that the majority of elementary schools in Surakarta has a range of services that exceed the ideal standard, completeness infrastructure elementary school environment that is still not fullest yet and therefore have the safety and comfort on the road around the school is quite high. From the results obtained that the role of primary school services in support of child friendly city is still providing a sense of safety and comfort, although the condition of completeness lack of infrastructure facilities and elementary school services is far enough.  Keywords: child friendly cities, elementary school, the role of education service

Abstract

Poverty and slums are two things that can not be separated and a problem that often occurs in a region. Just as Karanganyar which has a fairly high level of poverty, it also illustrates the low quality of life. therefore implemented PLPBK program as a form of government intervention in housing issues. However, in practice there are problems that the program is considered less able to resolve the housing problem. This study was conducted to determine how the program realizes a good settlement in the framework of the program PLPBK in Karanganyar. This study not only look at the extent to which an increase in physical conditions that occur after the implementation of the program, but also how the level of the physical condition of the environmental suitability criteria habitable settlements are seen on the circumstances of each physical element neighborhoods include commercial facilities, educational facilities, health facilities, public service facilities, open space facilities, roads, drainage, sewage, garbage and water. The conclusion by looking at the physical condition of the environment in the study area is known that the physical condition of the environment has increased high at 74.3%, while for the level of suitability of the physical condition of settlements with settlement criteria livable rated high at 87.2%. So that the known increase in the level of suitability and physical condition of neighborhoods, achievement embodiment livable neighborhoods in order PLPBK program in Karanganyar assessed achieved Keyword : livable, settlements, PLPBK

Abstract

Abstract:.Cemani Village/kelurahan Cemani is one of regions in Kecamatan Sukoharjo, which is one of the industrial area. as listed in Sukoharjo Regional Spatial Plan year 2014, Cemani village located around the huge industrial company such as Batik Keris compan,Dan Liris company, Konimex company, and Sobisco company. The problem in this research is how is the classification characteristics of industrial area and how it affected residential areas of Sukoharjo Cemani? The purpose of this study was to determine the classification of the characteristics of industrial impacts on residential areas that affected by industrial areea at Cemani Sukoharjo. The method used is the deductive research methods with quantitative research. Technique of analysis that used is descriptive analysis. This research conclusion is the impacts of the major industries in Sukoharjo Cemani settlement are: the emergence of the settlement of labor / industrial workers, the emergence of slum area, water pollution and flood the area. Cassification of this bad impacts of the industrial area to the physical environment can be perceived by people’s settlement in  0-500 m> 500m - 1kilometer, and> 1 kilometer from the industrial area.  Keywords: Industrial Impact, Industrial Impact Classification, Industrial Settlement Areas

Abstract

Abstract: Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Dr. Moewardi is a national scale-hospital provided by Central Java provincial government in the city of Surakarta. Assigned as a class hospital in 2007, Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Dr. Moewardi led the citizen to have health service. The main activity of the district will be followed by the other development of the second activity. Hospital is one kind of main activities that can give impact to surrounding environment. Commercial activity area which is grow up around the hospital, such as boarding house, food court, convenience store and the other commercial services, gives impact to the sector’s revolution around the hospital. The issues in the research is the other utilization of the commercial area around the hospital which is effected by the change of health service of Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Dr. Moewardi. This research aimed to find out the effect of Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Dr. Moewardi’s health service  change to the utilization commercial area around the hospital. The method used is deductive-explanative descriptive analysis technique. The data collected is a real observation, respondent interview and document–based data. The result of the research shows that the service of Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Dr. Moewardi is increasingly change by the years. It equals with the utilization of the commercial area around Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Dr. Moewardi which is also increasing the commercial area so it can be concluded that the health service in Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Dr. Moewardi gives impact to the utilization of commercial area around because both changes that increased. Keywords: development of health services, commercial land use change

Abstract

Construction of the rented simple flats is the option of government’s policy to meet the needs of adequate housing for low-income. The rented simple flats in Sukoharjo already inhabited 3 blocks of 6 blocks. The degree of occupancy will indirectly reflect quality the construction of flats. The problem in this study is whether development the rented simple flats in Sukoharjo complies with the standar of ideal housing. The purpose of research is the degree of conformity the rented simple flats in Sukoharjo as the standar of ideal housing. The method is used the deductive research methods with quantitative research. The analysis technique is used the analysis of scoring on any variable of the standards of ideal housing. The conclusions from this research is that there are nine variables known as the factors that influence the development of the rented simple flats in Sukoharjo as the ideal flats. The variables that have been suitable with the standar of ideal housing are the policy, the price of rent and accessibily. However, some variables that have not been optimal like the infrastructures, material contruction and the others. Consequently, Sukoharjo’s District Government and some of the parties concerned to repair deficiency and accommodate the needs of the community to achieve development the ideal flats. Keywords: Contruction of rented simple flats, standards of ideal housing, scoring analysis

Abstract

The participation of citizen in the conservation of heritage buildings and structures on Surakarta Baluwarti background by conservation measures are often perceived as a barrier to regional development. It causes people to be hesitant in doing conservation measures. Baluwarti been determined to be of cultural heritage, the citizen in Baluwarti required to actively participate in the conservation of cultural heritage buildings and structures. Conservation of cultural heritage in Baluwarti not limited to protection, but also includes the utilization and development. The problem in this research is how much the participation of citizens in the conservation of cultural heritage buildings and structures in the area of Surakarta Baluwarti. The method used is to conduct field observations, distributing questionnaires, and analyzes the frequency distribution and descriptive analysis. The results of the level of citizen participation Baluwarti in the conservation of buildings and structures in the region. The results of this study indicate that the level of citizen participation at the level Baluwarti being. This result indicates the persistence of participation in conservation, but need to increase the participation of buildings and structures related to the conservation of cultural heritage Baluwarti. Keywords: Building and Structure, Conservation, Cultural Heritage, Participation.

Abstract

Surakarta is a city that has the potential of the river. But in the process, these rivers suffered environmental degradation as a function instead of the banks into slums and squatter, and functions of rivers that serve as places of waste disposal. Government’s city of Surakarta has done various setup area of the river. One of the targeted structuring Pepe-River is often known by the name Kali Pepe. Kali Pepe is the river which has the most strategic location because it divides the centre of city and the river has a past history of Surakarta. Kali Pepe is the witness of history where culture and trade activities in the rapidly growing city of Surakarta in the past with the ecological function and physical function as transportation trade.Setuping Kali Pepe, according to the Mayor of Surakarta, is directed to serve as recreation/tourism area. Since the Surakarta Mayor initiated the year 2015 that Kali Pepe as a tourist area. The initiated moves the government and society in order to more actively participate in developing the area into a tourist area. This research would like to know how the readiness level of the Kali Pepe area to be developed as a tourist area-based streams. The components of preparedness were seen from aspect of attractions or natural tourist attraction, artificial attractions, acessesiblity, institutional, infrastructure supporting tourism, and the behavior of the flooding of the river. This research is quantitative research in methods of scoring analysis. The result of this research has shown that Kali Pepe less readiness to be developed as a tourist area-based stream. Aspects of accessibility and infrastructure supporting tourism were an aspect which has a readiness. But for this aspect of the attraction, institutional and river flooding behavior is still in the stage of less readiness. Keywords: readiness, tourist areas, river tours
