Abstract

This study aimed to describe the needs analysis of the mathematics learning outcomes test characterized by HOTS (higher-order thinking skills) in the form of multiple-choice for fifth-grade students in Singaraja City, Buleleng Regency, Bali Province. This research was conducted at several elementary schools in the city of Singaraja. The study population was all elementary school mathematics teachers in Singaraja City. The sample used was a purposive sample, that was, by determining respondents from selected schools based on several characteristics. These characteristics were A) inside and outside the city, B) favorite and non-favorite, C) public and private, and D) public and Muslim. The samples obtained were 7 (seven) elementary schools. The data collection method was a questionnaire method. The questionnaire in this study produced both quantitative and qualitative data. Quantitative data in the form of nominal data from responses “yes” and “no”, while qualitative data in the form of comments based on responses “yes” or “no” provided. This was done by researchers in order to draw stronger and more complete conclusions. Quantitative data analysis techniques used descriptive statistics, while qualitative data analysis techniques use descriptive analysis. Based on the results of the study, it could be concluded that the teacher requires an elementary mathematics learning achievement test characterized by HOTS. The results of this study were used to develop a mathematics learning outcomes test characterized by HOTS in the form of multiple choice.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the cognitive assessment strategy of children by educators at PAUD Pelita Kasih Singaraja during the Covid-19 pandemic. The research site is located in Buleleng District, Buleleng Regency, Bali Province. This study used a qualitative descriptive method. The techniques of collecting research data were by conducting interviews and documentation. The research subjects were two teachers, namely the homeroom teacher of TK A and the homeroom teacher of TK B, including the principal. Interviews were conducted by positioning the researcher as the main instrument assisted by interview guidelines with interview guidelines to obtain primary data. Documentation was carried out to obtain other supporting data as secondary. The results showed that the assessment strategy used by PAUD Pelita Kasih was to provide a holistic assessment through process assessment and outcome assessment during the Covid-19 pandemic. Process assessment was carried out when learning was face-to-face, either virtually by using the Zoom meeting application or directly by conducting a home visit. Face-to-face activities, both virtual and in-person, were each held once a week. Educators stated that students' cognitive aspects were developing well as before pandemic. This was due to the trust and support of parents, both directly and indirectly, so that the assessment given by educators was also good for their students.

Abstract

The aim of the study was to find out the significant influence of LMS-based Creative Problem Solving learning models on students on the ability of Cultural Literacy of Citizenship and multicultural attitudes.  Experimental research is a non-equivalent post-test only control group design. The population in this study was 197 elementary students in Singaraja City and and the study sample amounted to 60 students with the specifications of students of grade IV Of State Elementary School 1 Banjar Tegal which amounted to 30 students as an experimental class and grade IV Elementary School 1 Great Package which amounted to 30 students as a control class.  Simple random sampling is used as a sample determination for experiments and control groups. The data is analyzed using MANOVA. The results showed: 1) Based on the data of the analysis on hypothesis 1 obtained F values of 11.331, df = 1, and Sig = 0.001, This means that significance smaller than 0.05 can be concluded that there is a significant difference in state cultural literacy between students studying with lms-based Creative Problem Solving Learning Model with conventional learning model;  2) Based on the data of the analysis on hypothesis 1 obtained F values of 22.749, df = 1, and sig = 0.000, This means sig values smaller than 0.05 can be concluded that there is a significant difference in multicultural attitudes between students who follow the LMS-based Creative Problem Solving Learning Model and students who follow conventional learning models, 3) Manova analysis results show that the calculated F price for Pillae Trace, Wilk Lambda, Hotelling's Trace, Roy's Largest Root from the implementation of lms-based Creative Problem Solving Learning Model is smaller than 0.05. Thus, there is an influence on the application of LMS-based Creative Problem Solving Learning Model on state cultural literacy and multicultural attitude simultaneously in students.Keywords: Citizenship Cultural Literacy, Multicultural Attitudes, Creative Problem Solving Learning Model, LMS.

PEMBELAJARAN KONSEP POLA UNTUK ANAK USIA DINI DALAM KAITANNYA DENGAN PROBLEM SOLVING I Komang Sesara AriyanaSTAH Negeri Mpu Kuturan Singarajakomangsesara.ariyana@yahoo.com ABSTRAKTulisan ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pentingnya pembelajaran konsep pola untuk anak usia dini dalam kaitannya dengan kemampuan problem solving (pemecahan masalah). Metode penulisan yaitu kajian literatur terhadap kaitan antara pembelajaran konsep pola dengan kemampuan problem solving di PAUD. Konsep pola merupakan salah satu pembelajaran matematika untuk anak usia dini yang sangat penting sebagai dasar mempelajari konsep matematika dan kehidupan sehari-hari anak. Pembelajaran pola sangat beragam mulai dari menggunakan benda-benda konkret, gambar, maupun atau sesuatu yang abstrak seperti pola peristiwa sehari-hari anak. Anak usia dini dapat mempelajari konsep pola melalui kegiatan meronce ataupun menyusun balok mainan berwarna secara mendatar atau membuat konstruksi menara. Instruksi yang dapat diberikan berupa meminta anak untuk menduplikasi, memperluas, mentransfer, dan mengisolasi unit dari suatu pola. Instruksi seperti ini akan membiasakan anak untuk mengidentifikasi, menemukan, dan menunjukkan solusi dari masalah pola. Melalui tulisan ini, guru PAUD diharapkan memahami dan memperoleh inspirasi mengenai kemampuan problem solving anak usia dini dalam pembelajaran pola.Kata kunci: anak usia dini, konsep pola, problem solving. ABSTRACTThis paper aims to describe the importance of learning the concept of patterns for early childhood in relation to the ability of problem solving. The writing method is the study of literature on the link between learning the concept of patterns concept with the ability of problem solving in Early Childhood Education. The concept of pattern is one of mathematics learning for early childhood which is very important as a basis for learning mathematical concepts and children's daily lives. Learning patterns are very diverse ranging from using concrete objects, images, or something abstract like patterns of children's daily events. Early childhood can learn the concept of patterns through meronce (making a string of beads) activities or arranging colored toy blocks horizontally or making towers construction. Instructions that can be given in the form of asking children to duplicate, expand, transfer, and isolate the unit from a pattern. Instructions like this will accustom children to identify, find, and show solutions to pattern problems. Through this paper, Early Childhood Education teachers are expected to understand and get inspiration about early childhood problem solving skills in learning patterns.Keywords: concept of pattern, early childhood, problem solving.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze strategies that can be used to develop numeracy skills of elementary school students based on constructivism theory. This research is included in library research. Library research is research with a qualitative approach. The data in this study are qualitative data obtained from various sources such as scientific journal articles, books, and policies related to the development of elementary school students' numeracy skills. The object of this research is the strategies that can be done by elementary school mathematics teachers related to the development of students' numeracy skills that refer to constructivism theory. The data analysis technique was carried out through four stages, namely collecting data, reducing data, displaying data, and drawing conclusions. This library research will discuss (1) constructivism theory in learning mathematics, (2) elementary school students' numeracy skills, and (3) elementary school students' numeracy skills development strategies based on constructivism theory.
