Abstract

Pendet dance is ladies dance which has function as dancers who bring ritual offering for the ancestors and Gods. Pendet dance is one of the ceremonial dances known by Balinese people commonly used in piodalan ceremony.The process of education that is perceived to be able to answer market demand is the concept of 'collaboration' between formal and non-formal education namely potential exploration through self-actualization. The synergy between formal and non-formal education can be a medium in mapping self-potential. Thus this synergy is able to create harmony of 'balancing' in a person.Non formal education is becoming the standard in character education such as Pendet dance for early childhood. The purpose is to introduce the sense, function and education media that can be reference for and character education values because there is moral values in the dance, the notion in Tri Hita Karana.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis Tari Pujoretno sebagai simbolisme pemujaan yang mencerminkan nilai religius dan tradisi budaya Jawa. Tari Pujoretno, sebagai salah satu tari klasik putri gaya Yogyakarta, memiliki kedalaman makna yang terkait dengan pemujaan kepada Tuhan, sebagai ungkapan rasa syukur, permohonan keselamatan, serta penghormatan kepada Tuhan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif-interpretatif dengan analisis semiotika untuk menggali makna simbolik dalam tari dan bagaimana masyarakat Jawa menghayati serta mempraktikkannya. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara dengan ketua Paguyuban Seni Suryo Kencono, serta kajian dokumentasi dan pustaka terkait. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Tari Pujoretno tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai hiburan, tetapi memiliki simbolisme pemujaan yang mewakili hubungan manusia dengan Tuhan, manusia dan alam, serta menyatukan elemen tradisi budaya jawa. Bentuk penyajian dalam Tari Pujoretno, yang meliputi gerak tari, iringan, riasan, busana, tema, dan properti, berperan penting dalam merepresentasikan nilai religius dan keseimbangan spiritual dalam tradisi budaya Jawa. This research aims to analyze the Pujoretno Dance as a symbolism of worship that reflects religious values and Javanese cultural traditions. Pujoretno dance, as one of the woman classical Yogyakarta dances, has a deep meaning related to the worship of God, as an expression of gratitude, a request for salvation, and respect for God. This research uses a qualitative-interpretive approach with semiotic analysis to explore the symbolic meaning of dance and how Javanese people appreciate and practice it. Data was collected through observation, interview with the chairman of the Suryo Kencono Arts Association, as well as reviewing documentation and related literature. The results of the research show that the Pujoretno Dance not only functioning as entertainment, but has a cult symbolism that represents man's relationship with God, humans and nature, and unites elements of Javanese cultural tradition. The form of presentation in Pujoretno Dance, which includes dance movements, accompaniment, make-up, clothing, themes and props, plays an important role in representing religious values and spiritual balance in Javanese cultural traditions.
