Abstract

Abstract: Diarrhea remains a global health problem, especially in developing countries. The magnitude of the problem is evident from the high morbidity and mortality due to diarrhea. The incidence of diarrhea can be caused by several factors including behavioral, environmental, and health services. WHO estimates that 4 billion cases occurring in the world and 2.2 million of them died, mostly children under the age of 5 years. Sanitation is one of the most important challenges for developing countries because according to the World Health Organisation (WHO), diarrhea diseases kill a child in this world every 15 seconds, because access to sanitation is still too low. This poses a major environmental health problem, as well as detrimental to economic growth and human resource potential on a national scale. (Anwar,2009)

Abstract

Salah satu upaya untuk meningkatkan kesehatan remaja melalui Pelayanan Kesehatan Peduli Remaja yang dilaksanakan petugas Puskesmas dengan memberikan pelayanan meliputi upaya promotif, preventif, kuratif  dan rehabilitatif di Puskesmas, sedangkan program di sekolah dengan membentuk konselor sebaya dan pusat informasi konseling remaja. Pembentukan konselor sebaya dan pusat informasi konseling remaja di sekolah  berperan sebagai agen pengubah sebayanya untuk berperilaku sehat dan dapat menjadi sumber informasi dan tempat curhat yang ramah remaja khususnya siswa sekolah. Keberhasilan program tersebut perlu tetap dipertahankan pada masa adaptasi pandemi covid-19 ini. Sejak tahun 2020 masalah ini tidak hanya memiliki pengaruh terhadap kesehatan fisik masyarakat saja namun juga psikis, ekonomi, dan sosial. Kegiatan sekolah yang dilakukan secara daring kini berubah menjadi virtual atau luring, sehingga remaja yang terkena dampak perubahan tersebut lebih banyak menghabiskan waktu dirumah atau disekitar lingkungannya saja. Berdasarkan hal tersebut pelaksana pengabdian masyarakat melakukan pemberdayaan remaja yang ada di Kelurahan Bastiong Karance melalui kelas remaja. Metode yang digunakan adalah FGD dan Penyuluhan. Sasarannya adalah remaja berusia 14-18 tahun yang belum menikah. Adapun hasil yang didapatkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan pengetahun berdasarkan hasil pre dan post test sebesar 48.4%, sikap dan minat berdasarkan hasil pre dan post test sebesar 40% pada remaja setelah proses penyuluhan. Kesimpulannya kelas remaja di Kelurahan Bastiong Karance telah terbentuk dengan program kegiatan rutin mingguan serta kegiatan rutin bulanan.

Abstract

The Youth Information and Counseling Center is a forum for program activities managed for teenagers. The aim of this service is to provide refreshing insight into the function of PIK teenagers as a youth information center and to provide knowledge and skills to youth counselors regarding adolescent reproductive health. This is done by optimizing PIK-KR recording and reporting and training youth counselors by means of socialization through role playing, lectures, discussions and mentoring on the PIK-R program as well as structuring the reporting recording system and simulating how to fill out PIK-R documents. Testing the knowledge and skills of adolescent cadres is regarding adolescent reproductive health and its problems by providing pre-tests and post-tests. The results of the community service show that out of 30 training participants in the pre-test, 28 people got a score <50 and 2 participants got a score >50, with an average score of 40.8. After the intervention was carried out, there was an increase in knowledge as evidenced by an increase in the post-test scores of the training participants. The results showed an increase with an average score of 80. The conclusion of this community service is that the intervention carried out by the community service team has proven to be effective in increasing the knowledge of training participants. It is recommended to continue the same intervention with other trainees to improve their overall knowledge.
