Abstract

Abstract This study aims to investigate the effectiveness of facebook towards students’ writing recount text and vocabulary mastery. This paper used a true experimental research. Two classes of eighth grade from SMP Negeri 1 Labuan were selected as the experimental group and control group. Both are consisted 60 students. In the process of experiment, one class has been taught by using facebook, meanwhile the other taught by using conventional media. The research method used the true experimental, technique sampling is random, data collection techniques uses abilities test writing skill and abilities test vocabulary mastery, data analysis is done by statistics MANOVA (Multivariate analysis of variants). The results concluded that: 1) there is a significant effect of facebook towards students’ writing skill and vocabulary mastery multivariate; 2) there is a significant effect of facebook towards students’ writing skill; and 3) there is a significant effect of facebook towards vocabulary mastery. The results of the study imply that there are significant differences between students’ Writing recount text and vocabulary mastery, students group use facebook media with capabilities students’ writing skill and vocabulary mastery group of students who were given conventional learning media. Abstract

AbstrakPendidikan karakter adalah pendidikan yang berupaya untuk menanamkan nilai-nilai karakter tertentu kepada peserta didik yang di dalamnya terdapat komponen pengetahuan, kesadaran atau kemauan, serta tindakan untuk melakukan nilai-nilai tersebut. Pendidikan karakter sangat erat hubungannya dengan pendidikan moral dimana tujuannya adalah untuk membentuk dan melatih kemampuan individu secara terus-menerus guna penyempurnaan diri kearah hidup yang lebih baik. Generasi muda adalah generasi penerus bangsa, yang mana mereka akan menjadi pelaku perubahan dan kemajuan suatu bangsa. Diharapkan agar perilaku warga negara baik dalam aspek politik, ekonomi, maupun sosial budaya mengacu pada konsep, prinsip dan nilai yang terkandung dalam Pancasila.Sikap dan tingkah laku yang menjunjung tinggi harkat dan martabat manusia sebagai makhluk ciptaan Tuhan Yang Maha Esa, dengan mendudukan hak asasi manusia secara proporsional sesuai dengan konsep dan prinsip yang terkandung dalam Pancasila. Semangat kebangsaan yang tinggi, sehingga selalu menjunjung tinggi existensi Negara Kesatuan Republik Indonesia. Dengan maraknya kasus penyelewengan perilaku dan karakter anak bangsa, perlu ditumbuhkan kesadaran bagi tidak hanya tenaga pendidik dan pemerintah, melainkan kesadaran masyarakat Indonesia untuk menerapkan perilaku yang baik dan menanamkan karakter yang baik bagi anak Indonesia. Oleh karena itu, pembangunan karakter kebangsaan dalam diri mahasiswa sebagai generasi muda penerus bangsa sangat penting dilakukan, salah satunya adalah melalui proses pendidikan.Kata kunci: Penanaman Karakter, Pendidikan Karakter, Generasi Muda AbstractCharacter education is education that seeks to in still certain character values to students in which there are components of knowledge, awareness or willingness, as well as actions to carry out these values. Character education is closely related to moral education where the goal is to shape and train individual abilities continuously for self-improvement to wards a better life. The young generation is the next generation of the nation, where they will be the agents of change and progress of a nation. It is hoped that the behavior of citizens in terms of politics, economy, and socio-culture refers to the concepts, principles and values contained in Pancasila. Attitudes and behaviors that up hold human dignity as creatures created by God Almighty, by placing human rights proportionally in accordance with the concepts and principles contained in Pancasila. High national spirit, so that it always up holds the existence of the Unitary State ofthe Republic of Indonesia. With the rise of cases of misappropriation of the behavior and character of the nation’s children, it is necessary to raise awareness not only for educators and the government, butals of or the awareness of the Indonesian people to apply good behavior and in still good character in Indonesian children. Therefore, the development of national character in students as the next generation of young people is very important, one of which is through the education process.Keywords: Character Planting, Character Education, Young Generation

With current technological advances that are very rapid, parking bars are increasingly sophisticated, one example is the parking barrier system (Barrier Gate), which currently uses finger prints, cards and buttons to open the parking barrier, and there are many types of parking bars with different features. increasingly sophisticated. The purpose of this research is to find out how the barrier gate mx-50 works, the repairs and maintenance carried out on the barrier gate mx-50. The research method used is observation, interviews with related parties and literature study.
