Abstract

Stirling engine technology is an old technology that was developed to be a power back. In America and in Europe the development of Stirling engine has been done so far by utilizing production technology and advanced materials. This research uses the technology micro-scale workshop and uses the other engine components that exist on the market to accommodate the volume Stirling engine design compressor size. In performance testing, this study used cranckshaft axle load testing methodology. Testing is done by 5 (five) times. From the data at average constant speed, travel time and expense it can be calculated that the engine power is generated. The results of this study produced a prototype Stirling engine with a pressure of 1 bar gamma type. In addition to the prototype machine, the performance measurement analysis used as the input source in the development later of the Stirling engine to produce competitive and cheap

Abstract

Oil palm smallholders require knowledge of fertilization because the fertilization is an influential factor in the productivity of fresh fruit bunches. On the other hand, the oil palm smallholders generally don’t have fertilizer expertise and they face a difficulty in determining good fertilization (good in type, dosage, time and manner) based on various literatures. Therefore, a simple application that can provide recommendations for palm oil fertilization is developed. The recommendations are based on expert knowledge that have been written in various literatures. Like an expert system, the application is designed by compiling knowledge base, constructing an inference engine and creating a prototype. The knowledge bases, that are facts and rules, are prepared using rule-based reasoning approach, the inference engine is compiled using forward chaining methods and the prototype is made using a visual basic application in a spreadsheet application. The application design uses facts of plant varieties, phases or age of plants, soil types, nutrient deficiency in soil and plants, rainfall, fertilizer content, and nutrient properties (synergies or antagonist) on fertilizers. The Applications made capable of providing fertilization recommendations by conducting forward chaining based on data-given facts and rules that have been made on the knowledge base.

Abstract

ProNers Home Care and Nursing Solution is a Home Care company established in 2007 in Surakarta – Central Java. According the fact that ProNers is a service company that make priority to public service, and also the excalation of ProNers’s status to a legal company since July 2012, ProNers needs to redesign the business process and the organizational structure, and to design standard operating procedure (SOP) to carry out their activity. The research uses Business Process Improvement (BPI) method with process reengineering approach which is steps to improve business processes or provide a new processes. First step is to studied the actual business process so we can determine the needs of human resource. Then it will be described in detail in the SOP. The research proposes a more appropriate business process design so the objectives of the company can be achieved. Matrix organizational structure with more focus on job specialization by adding two employees, each of them handle administration and finance division and marketing division. The final design of the SOP consists of nineteen SOPs.

Abstract

Pandemi Covid-19 telah turut serta dalam memberikan dampak pada industri kopi di Indonesia. Namun, prospek kopi tetap menjanjikan karena didukung oleh produksi dan konsumsi dalam negeri, serta hasil nilai ekspor yang tinggi.  Industri ini juga masih berpeluang sebagai salah satu penggerak perekonomian nasional. Di beberapa kota besar seperti Solo, bisnis coffee shop memang tak seramai masa sebelum pandemi. Besarnya permintaan kopi menjadi daya tarik bagi petani untuk menanam kopi tak terkecuali petani di desa Kalisoro kecamatan Tawangmangu kabupaten Karanganyar yang menjadi mitra pada kegiatan PKM ini.   Untuk itu pada kegiatan pengabdian ini dilakukan pembuatan teknologi tepat guna teknologi tepat guna berupa  rancang bangun mesin sortasi biji kopi untuk memenuhi persyaratan mutu SNI 01-2907-2008.  Dari kegiatan ini dihasilkan mesin sortasi yang dibuat terbukti memiliki performansi multifungsi yaitu memisahkan biji kopi dari kotoran, ranting, serangga, dll sekaligus mensortasi (gradding) biji kopi berdasarkan ukurannya.  Pelatihan penggunaan mesin juga telah dilakukan pada mitra POKTAN PROHUTANI.  Selain itu juga telah dilakukan sosialisasi terkait teknik pemanenan dan teknologi pasca panen biji kopi. Kata kunci: Kopi; Industri Kecil dan Mikro (IKM); SNI 01-2907-2008; Mesin Sortir
