Abstract

Vacuum packaging appliance serves to package food products by removing all the air that is in the packaging. The purpose of the vacuum packaging is to make the product to be more durable and long lasting. It can also increase the value of merchantability because the product that is processed oyster mushroom is packaged more cleanly. Nowadays, the mushroom seller usually use an automatic type. Based on the seller experience, the device is difficult to operate. Since the parameters of vacuum pump and temperature sealer must be set before using it, moreover the price of equipment is too expensive. Therefore the required design of the vacuum packaging appliance in accordance with the requirement of the seller. Quality Function Deployment (QFD) is employed to design the vacuum packaging equipment. Then an assessment an assessment of the user's voice level of interest, expectation and satisfaction are conducted subsequently. Furthermore, HOQ is developed by determining technical characteristics, weight and what and how relationship. The main priority in the design seen from the order of the highest weight of the technical characteristics. The results from QFD produce 6 attributes (voice of customer) from the complaints of respondents and 10 technical characteristics. Highest weight of the technical characteristics is "total dimensions scaled and customized tool that is packaged with the product" with a weight of 43.20 or 21.16%. Hence, that technical characteristic must be taken into consideration in designing the vacuum packaging equipment

Abstract

PT Kusumahadi Santosa is a company engaged in manufacturing, the textile industry. One of the major processes that occurs within the company is printing process where types of chemicals that are used are more than 250 different types. However, in conducting the management of chemical inventories, the company still use the manual process which has not been computerized. As a result, there are some problem occurs, such as miscalculation of 5%-30% in the process of recording the amount of chemicals, process of discharging chemicals not recorded, control and planning of chemical inventories is not optimum that will indirectly result in losses company. Therefore, it is necessary to design information system management inventory for controlling chemical inventories. Information system management is designed in the form of web applications and integrated with continuous review inventory model. In addition, the system is equipped with functional and non-functional requirements to fix of the previous system. By adopting the proposed information systems management, the process management of chemicals can be managed more effectively and efficiently. The proposed information system which integrated the system with continuous review inventory model can be adopted by the company for managing the inventories and reducing the inventory cost.

Abstract

Harapan Jaya Autobus company has experienced difficulties in the process of ticket booking.Many customers have complained that the process of ticket booking gives less satisfaction to the customer. Therefore, website design and creation is needed to enhance customer service. There are three stages to design and build webiste of PO. Harapan Jaya to support marketing activities. The first stage is analyzing the curent system to determine the needs of the proposed system. The second stage is designing a data flow diagram based on system requirements analysis. The last step is designing a system that consists of database design, business applications system design, and user interface design. Database design consists of conceptual, physical, and logical database design. Business application system design consists of designing the system architecture, network architecture, and security system, while the design of the user interface is divided into the user interface for the back end and front end. The website is tested using black-box testing. The results of the testing process is the website works well and the user interface is user friendly

Abstract

This research was carried out on one of the fertilizer industry. This industry have numerous itemof machine spare part. The problem concerned with machine spare parts controlling which is theordering of them are done separately, that makes inventory cost and order frequency become quite high. Therefore, inventory control of machine spare part will be done by using a coordinated ordering system with model of can-order policy. Parameters determination (S,c,s) was held on 7 items of machine spare part that was ordered from 1 supplier with using algorithm can order policy. Then, the total cost of inventory was calculated based on parameter of can order and will be compared with existing company system using monte carlo simulation. This comparing result shows the model of can order policy is more efficient to control machine spare part inventory which saving 52 % than the total inventory cost using existing company system.

Abstract

PT Pertamina Lubricant unit has the largest lubricants production units that PUG (Production UnitGresik). As part of the manufacturing industry often experience problems on PUG electoral system and assessment of supplier. Inaccuracies in selecting supplier results the selected supplier failed to deliver an order continually. One of the solutions of this problem is to improve the supplier selection system. Therefore, this research aims to develop supplier selection model with involves the Pertamina Oil Centre and PUG. An earlier stage of the research is to determine the criteria and subcriteria of the supplier selection obtained through Questionnaires I. The second stage was composing the hierarchy of the problem that was found in the company. The third stage was composing Questionnaires II wich translating AHP scale into triangular fuzzy number. The fourth stage aggregated appraisement of the whole of the respondents. The fifth stage calculated the value of the degree of possibility. The final stage calculated the value of consistency ratio from the opinion of the decision makers. After criteria and sub criteria of the selection and assessment suppliers has been developed. Then it used to choice the supplier of industrial lubricant drum. This research resulted eight criteria selection and assessment of supplier quality criteria, price, delivery, service, innovation, safety and working environment, flexibility, organization with a total combined all the criteria as much as sub criteria 29 sub criteria. The highest weighting is quality’s criteria (1.00), while the highest one is claims replacement good’s subcriteria (1.00). The results from supplier assessment indicated that the supplier Y was the chosen supplier

Abstract

As globalization of markets raises competitive pressures, one essential requirement for the survival of organizations is their capability to meet competition. Market needs cause unceasing changes in the life cycle, shape, quality and price of products. Manufacturing flexibility is an effective way to face up to the uncertainties of this rapidly changing environment and it is defined as the ability to absorb various disturbances which occur in production systems, as well as the ability to incorporate and exploit new technological advances and work practices. The aim ofthis paper is to measure capability and requirement offlexibility in manufacturing system. We propose Objective Matrix (OMAX) and Entropy integration method to measure flexibility.
