Abstract

The impact if  complementary foods was given early  is the infants will become more easily sick, ranging from cough, colds, fever, constipation, or diarrhea.               The purpose of this study was to study the factors associated with  early complementary feeding practices of  infants in working area of  Basuki Rahmat Public Health Center Bengkulu. This research used Cross Sectional design.                                     The population of this study was all mothers who had infants aged 7-12 months, amounting to 328 mothers. The sampling technique used Simple Random Sampling technique which amounted to 77 mothers. Data collection in this study used primary and secondary data with statistical test Chi-Square (χ2) through SPSS  program. The results of this study were from 77 mothers of  infants aged               7-12 months, 51 mothers (66.2%) had good knowledge, 51 mothers (66.2%) had             a pre-prosperous social economy, 44  mothers (57.1%) did not work, 59  mothers (76.6%) gave complementary  food age 6 months. There was no significant relationship between mother's knowledge, mother's work status, and social economy  with  early  complementary feeding  practices  in  working area of  Basuki  Rahmat  Public  Health Center Bengkulu. It was expected that Basuki Rahmad  Public Health Center to do counseling about exclusive breastfeeding and  complementary   feeding  practices  to pregnant women and mothers who have children under five in  working  area of  Basuki Rahmat  Public  Health Center Bengkulu. Keywords : complementary  food, employment status, knowledge, social economic

Abstract

The bad impact caused by not giving exclusive breastfeeding is the baby's immune system decreases, disruption of baby's growth and development, increases the risk of disease, and is susceptible to bacteria causing diarrhea. The purpose of the study was to determine the relationship between knowledge, working mothers and husband's support with exclusive breastfeeding in Padang Serai Public Health Center in Bengkulu. This type of research was an analytical survey using Cross Sectional design. The sample in this research was mothers who had  babies over the age of 6-12 months in Baruna 3 Posyandu and Baruna 2 Posyandu and the sampling used Accidental Sampling techniques, which  were as many as 34 mothers. Data collection used primary data and secondary data. This study used the Chi-Square test (Pearson Chi-Square) and Contingency Cofficient. The results of this research were obtained from 34 mothers, there were 17 mothers (50.0%) with less knowledge, 25 mothers (73.5%) who did not work outside the home, 19 mothers (55.9%) whose husbands not supportive and 26 mothers (76.5%) who did not give exclusive breastfeeding, there was a significant relationship between knowledge of mothers with exclusive breastfeeding, there was no significant relationship between mothers working with exclusive breastfeeding, and no significant relationship between husband's support with exclusive breastfeeding in the working area of Padang Serai Health Center in Bengkulu City. It was expected for mothers who had babies to be able to take part in health promotion activities, read books about ASI, to increase their knowledge of the importance of Exclusive Breastfeeding. Keywords: exclusive breastfeeding, husband’s support, knowledge, working                  mother

Abstract

Incidence of Acute Respiratory Infection (ARI) can affect mortality in infants. This study aimed to study the relationship between ventilation and occupancy density with incidence of ARI among Children under five in Pasar Ikan Public Healt Center Bengkulu. The type of this research was Analytical Survey with cross sectional design. The population in this study was all mothers who had children aged 6-24 months, who visited Pasar Ikan Public Health Center Bengkulu. Sample used in this research was mother who had children aged 6-24 month who visited to Pasar Ikan Public Health Center Bengkulu as much as 52 mothers. In this study the sample used was Accidental Sampling. The data used were primary data and secondary data. The analysis was performed by using univariate analysis and bivariate analysis with Chi-Square statistical test (χ2). To know the closeness of the relationship was used statistical test Contingency Coefficient (C). The results showed that of 52 mothers, 37 mothers (71.2%) had inadequate home ventilation, 25 mothers (55.9%) who had unsuitable occupancy density conditions, 38 mothers (73.1% ) had children who had incidence of ARI, there was a relationship between ventilation with incidence of ARI with moderate relationship category, and there was a relationship between occupancy density and incidence of ARI with medium relations category. Keywords: ARI incidence, occupancy density, ventilation

Abstract

 Covid-19 merupakan penyakit yang disebabkan oleh virus dengan tingkat penyebaran yang cepat. Penyebaran penyakit yang sangat cepat dengan risiko kematian yang cukup tinggi sehingga membutuhkan pemahaman terkait pencegahan penularan Covid-19. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan pengetahuan dengan perilaku pencegahan Covid-19 pada mahasiswa STIKES Tri Mandiri Sakti Bengkulu. Jenis penelitian adalah Survey Analitik dengan desain Cross Sectional. Sampel adalah mahasiswa program reguler semester 2, 4, dan 6 di STIKES Tri Mandiri Sakti Bengkulu sebanyak 155 mahasiswa. Teknik pengambilan sampel yaitu Accidental Sampling. Jenis data yang digunakan adalah data primer dan data sekunder. Data diambil menggunakan kuesioner dalam bentuk google form. Analisis data dilakukan dengan analisis univariat dan analisis bivariat. Analisis bivariat menggunakan uji statistik Chi-Square.Untuk mengetahui keeratan hubungan digunakan uji Contingency Coeffcient (C). Data diolah menggunakan SPSS 16.0. Hasil penelitian didapatkan 107 mahasiswa (69,0%) yang berpengetahuan baik dan 81 mahasiswa (52,3%) yang memiliki perilakupencegahan Covid-19 yang baik. Terdapat hubungan yang signifikan pengetahuan dengan perilaku pencegahan Covid-19 pada mahasiswa dengan kategori lemah. Disarankan kepada pihak institusi untuk memberikan edukasi kepada mahasiswa tentang bagaimana cara pencegahan Covid-19. Kata Kunci : mahasiswa, pengetahuan, perilaku,  pencegahan covid-19

Abstract

The impact and dangers  of  Pulmonary Tuberculosis  incidence is causing death. In Bengkulu province in 2011 there were 1.565 cases of  pulmonary  tuberculosis in 2012  there were 1,670 cases of pulmonary tuberculosis in 2013 there were 2.671 cases of pulmonary tuberculosis and in 2014 there were 2.014 cases of pulmonary tuberculosis this showed that pulmonary tuberculosis was still high. The purpose of this study was to study the relationship of PMO role with                         the success of the treatment of pulmonary tuberculosis patients in working area of Sukamerindu Public Health Center Bengkulu. The type of research used was                 an analytic survey, with Cross Sectional research design. Population in this research was all patient of pulmonary tuberculosis in working area of  Sukamerindu Public Health Center Bengkulu which had treatment 5 months amounted to 36 people in 2015. Samples taken by using total sampling which amounted to 36 people. Data analysis was done by univariate and bivariate analysis using uni Chi-Square (χ2). The results of this study were 41 patients with pulmonary tuberculosis,  20 people (55.6%)  had good role of  PMO, and there were 30 people (83.3%) who had successful treatment, there was a significant relationship between the role of PMO with successful treatment of patients with pulmonary tuberculosis with moderate category. It was  suggested to the related institution to improve and supervise the cadre of  (PMO) so that the success of   the treatment of pulmonary tuberculosis will  increasing. Keywords : drug  supervisor (PMO), successful  treatment, pulmonary  tuberculosis  patients

Abstract

Sanitation is intentional behavior in empowering clean life that has the purpose of preventing humans from being in direct contact with dirt and other hazardous waste materials in the hope of maintaining and improving human health. The use of latrines as a place to dispose of human waste is very necessary to avoid and reduce various types of environmental pollution and transmission of diseases, and can support the creation of a clean and healthy environment. This study aims to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and socioeconomic status of the family head with ownership of family latrines in Gunung Agung Village, Argamakmur City, North Bengkulu. The design of this study uses analytical survey with Cross Sectional approach. The population taken was all family heads in Gunung Agung Village, Argamakmur City, North Bengkulu. Sampling in this study were 85 samples, using proportional random sampling technique, namely 66 samples that had family latrines and 19 samples that did not have family latrines. Data collection in this study uses primary and secondary data with data analysis techniques carried out by univariate and bivariate analysis with Chi-Square test through SPSS program. The results obtained: from 85 household head respondents, it can be seen that there are 66 families (77.6%) who have family latrines, there are 42 families (49.4%) have a sufficient level of knowledge, there are 56 households (65.9%) with the status of Prosperous    Family I. This study shows that there is a significant relationship between the level of knowledge and socioeconomic status of the head of the family with ownership of family latrines in Gunung Agung Village, Argamakmur City, North Bengkulu. Keywords: knowledge of family heads, ownership of family latrines, socio-economic status

Abstract

Diarrhea is the most common cause of infant death. The mother is the person closest to the child and has an important role in maintaining and maintaining the health of the child, so a good mother's knowledge is needed to prevent diarrhea in children. This study aims to study the relationship of mother's knowledge with the incidence of diarrhea in infants in the working area of Tebing Tinggi Health Center, Empat Lawang District. The design used in this study is an analytic survey design that uses a cross sectional study design. The population in this study were all mothers who have toddlers aged 0-5 years who came for treatment at Tebing Tinggi Health Center, Empat Lawang in July-August 2019. Sampling in this study used 81 Simple Random Sampling techniques. This research uses primary data and secondary data. Data analysis was performed univariately and bivariately. The results showed there is a significant relationship between the relationship between maternal knowledge about diarrhea and the incidence of diarrhea in infants in the working area of Tebing Tinggi Health Center, Four Lawang Regency, with a moderate relationship category. It is expected that the puskesmas can provide health education to the community about diarrhea through counseling activities, distributing leaflets and nut book explaining diarrhea
