Abstract

Kuliah kerja masyarakat (KKM) years 2019 raised the subject of community empowerment through the development of creative economy. Most of student do not have enough knowledge in the determination of the work program to be applied in the community activities in the kuliah kerja masyarakat (KKM), no shortage of waste paper, the local currency must be entrepreneurs on college students in utilization of waste as yet there is no. Objectives of the activities devotion through knowledge sharing to students through the utilization of waste paper to become how to make handicrafts including providing knowledge and skills and to improve entrepreneurial interest through the use of waste paper to students. The importance of activites is knowledge sharing. Participants activities of are KKM students in kecamatan Cikeusal and kecamatan Ciomas. Activities started by observation this field to find the problems that arise implementation are the next stage of the preparation of materials and practice making handicrafts. The results are knowledge sharing that took place to students able to  provide understanding as provisions in empowering community. Through the knowledge sharing, KKM students increase skill development have especially in any by elementary substance waste paper to handicrafts. The outer covering this activity is the product handicrafts with basic made waste paper that is tissue box

Abstract

Pengetahuan serta kesadaran tentang hidup bersih dan sehat bebas sampah sangat penting bagi masyarakat tidak hanya di kota tetapi juga di desa. Kurangnya kesadaran masyarakat untuk menjaga kebersihan lingkungan di Desa Talaga masih rendah diamati dari sampah yang berserakan di lingkungan serta tidak tersedianya tempat sampah di rumah maupun di tempat umum. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk menambah pengetahuan serta meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat untuk membuang sampah pada tempatnya serta mengajarkan membuat Patsambu (tempat sampah bambu). Bentuk kegiatan berupa sosialisasi tentang lingkungan bersih dan sehat bebas sampah bebas bencana serta pelatihan kepada warga untuk membuat  tempat sampah dengan memanfaatkan bahan yang ada di alam yaitu bambu menjadi Patsambu (Tempat Sampah Bambu). Hasil kegiatan yaitu bertambahnya pengetahuan dan wawasan masyarakat mengenai pentingnyamenjaga lingkungan bersih dan sehat bebas sampah serta meningkatnya ketrampilan warga dalam membuat tempat sampah bambu atau Patsambu .

Abstract

The tsunami on Carita Coast caused considerable losses, damages, and casualties. The casualties can be caused by the unpreparedness of the community in dealing with tsunami. This study aims are to determine the level of community awareness to overcome the tsunami in Carita District, Pandeglang. Data was collected by spreading questionnaires to 158 respondents and then analyzing by validity test, reliability test and descriptive analysis. The result shown that the level of community awareness of tsunami disaster in Carita (Case Study of Sukarame Village, Sukajadi Village, Carita Village, Banjarmasin Village and Pejamben Village) was 14% of the total respondents are low awareness, then there are 35% of people have moderate awareness level, and 51% have an elevated level of awareness of the tsunami disaster. Overall, the level of community awareness in dealing with tsunami is included in the sufficient category. The community awareness has increased significantly after experiencing the tsunami in 2018 compared to before the disaster. The socialization was still needed to improve community preparedness behaviors in overcoming the tsunami.

Abstract

The study of tsunami disaster in Banten is less even though Banten is very susceptible to the earthquakes, and the Anak Krakatau Volcano is still exist as a tsunami trigger. The building vulnerability and capacity assessments are important to reduce the risk of casualties and substantial damages of tsunami. This study aims to assess the level of vulnerability of buildings, analyze the potential risk of building damage and get community capacity in dealing with tsunami. Data collection was carried out by surveying to the field to obtain the coordinates and types of buildings, coastal defense conditions and inundation heights. The distribution of questionnaires and interviews was also carried out to determine the community capacity. The data processing is using excel, utmgeomap, arcmap and spss. The results of the study  are concluded that out of a total of 647 in Pejamben Village has varying levels of vulnerability, namely moderate vulnerability (500units), high (142units) and very high (5units). The highest potential risk of building damage is moderate damage (75%) of the total building, heavy damage is 22%, light damage is about 5% and total collapse is 1%. The community capacity shows in the good category with a knowledge index of 77%.
