Bahasa Inggris, sebagai bahasa internasional, mendapat perhatian lebih dalam dunia pendidikan di Indonesia. Bahasa asing ini dijadikan mata pelajaran wajib di sekolah menengah pertama (SMP) dan sekolah menengah atas (SMA). Selain itu, bahasa ini dijadikan muatan lokal di sekolah dasar (SD). Bahkan, beberapa kelompok belajar (KB) atau taman kanak-kanak (TK) sudah mengajarkan bahasa Inggris untuk anak-anak. Pada usia dini, anak-anak akan dengan mudah memperoleh atau mempelajari sesuatu yang baru, lebih-lebih mempelajari bahasa. Hal ini sesuai dengan teori second language acquisition. Oleh karena itu, untuk mengurangi terjadinya eror pada pembelajaran bahasa di usia dini, khususnya terkait teknik dan strategi pengajaran, kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk memberikan pelatihan pengajaran bahasa Inggris usia dini pada guru-guru Bahasa Inggris di PAUD/TK/MI Desa Abar-Abir. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk dapat memberikan gambaran kepada guru-guru tentang pengajaran English for the young learner.

THE EFFECTIVENESS OF USING MULTIMEDIA-BASED LEARNING TO IMPROVE THE STUDENTS’ SPEAKING IN ENGLISH OF STKIP QOMARUDDIN GRESIK Ahmad Thoyyib Shofi; Lailatul Masruroh

The fluency of speaking English is a benchmark of success in mastering speaking English and it is the main achievement in the Speaking course. In connection with this, researchers and lecturers continue to innovate in developing English language learning, especially in improving speaking fluency. In this digital era, the use of multimedia in the learning process has become a trend because multimedia-based learning is in great demand as technology develops. Therefore, to improve the fluency of speaking English students of STKIP Qomaruddin Gresik, so that is way the method implemented. In order to be able to find out the effectiveness of using multimedia in improving students' speaking fluency, this pre-experimental study was carried out, with a single experimental pratest type involving only one experimental group . This study examines the effectiveness of using multimedia in improving the fluency of speaking English students of English education study program STKIP Qomaruddin Gresik after treatment (treatment), by comparing the results of the pretest and posttest. Researchers use the t-table an α (0.05), and the results of the t-test is 8.02 absolutized. T-table with 20 degrees of freedom is 2,085. The final calculation shows that the t-test in this study is greater than the t-table.This proves that multimedia use is very effective in improving the fluency of speaking English students. This development shows that the application of multimedia in learning speaking has succeeded in improving the fluency of speaking in English.

ABSTRACT Media is one of the components that can influence the results of the learning process as well as allowing them to play. It is very much expected that they can enjoy the learning process in the classroom. In this issue, the media as a component of education really has a very important role. Recently some educators have tried to improve the quality of education by developing media and methods. Media also allows tutors to make variations in class because one of the medias can be applied in several methods. Media can be defined as a source for learning, so the ordinary media can influence learning effectiveness, in generally the media is divided into three parts, the first is audio (it can be heard),the second is visual (it can be seen) that third is audio visual (it can be seen and heard). And the purpose of this study is (1) to find out whether classroom action research using Edmodo media is better than the one that does not use (2) To describe how to applicate Edmodo media in the course of Classroom Action Research. The design of this study is quantitative research, and the design of this study uses experimental research. In this study, the data was taken from the 6th semester of students in STKIP Qomaruddin Gresik. There are 20 students in the class and the researcher will take all of these students and be taken as a population, because this research design uses pre-experimental so the researcher only needs one class as sample. After doing Pre-test students will be given treatment and training, after the material mastered in the specified schedule will be given, a post-test as a measure of Edmodo media, but from the post-test that students done, it was can be conclude that the Edmodo is not too good for students of 6th semester of STKIP Qomaruddin, because it is still 36.5 % students cannot make report of action research.

Teaching English as a second or foreign language wants variation and creative thinking of the teacher so as to create the category additional joyful and relaxed that creates students additional eager and fascinated by connection the category. Kahoot that's designed as a mixture of ICT use in education of grammatical and the right sentences and tences. This study was conceived in qualitative study, data on the use of Kahoot online software in English classrooms were collected from several related literature. This present study took some previous study which demonstrated the effectiveness of students using video as a learning medium, particularly EFL classes. Furthermore, the teacher must also be able to deliver good material using Kahoot online application as a model. In addition, teachers must have a step-by-step plan of what the teacher must do during teaching and learning before using this online application as a teaching medium. This study has been assumed by many academics around the world that teaching English using media such as kahoot. This study was done in the 3th semester of students in English Department of Universitas Qomaruddin that the students are consist of 31 students.
