Abstract

ABSTRACT ? This research is aimed to know the strenght and direction between: 1) metakognitif achievement and cognitive learning achievement of biological lesson of XI IPA student?s grade of SMA Negeri 3 Sukoharjo in academic year of 2011/2012, 2) Verbal intellegences and cognitive learning achievement of biological lesson of XI IPA student?s  grade of SMA Negeri 3 Sukoharjo in academic year of 2011/2012, 3) Interpersonal intelligences and  cognitive learning achievement of biological lesson of XI IPA student?s grade of SMA Negeri 3 Sukoharjo in academic year of 2011/2012. It is a kuntitatif correlational research. The population was taken all of students XI IPA grade of SMA Negeri 3 Sukoharjo in academic year of 2011/2012. The sample was taken using simple random sampling technique. Test technique was used to uncover student?s verbal  intellegences, documentation  technique was used  to uncover student?s cognitive learning achievement, while metakognition achievement and interpersonal intellegences was measured by using questionnaire. The obtained data was analysed using multiple linier regression analysis with SPSS 16. The result showed that (1) there is corellation between metakognition achievement and cognitive learning achievement of biological lesson of XI IPA student?s grade of SMA Negeri 3 Sukoharjo  in academic year of 2011/2012, with  the  regression coefficient is  0,238, the  relative  contribution  is 42,4% and the  effective contribution is 19,6%,  2) there is corellation between verbal intellegences and cognitive learning achievement of biological lesson of XI  IPA student?s grade of SMA Negeri 3 Sukoharjo in academic year of 2011/2012, with the  regression coefficient is 0,154, the relative  contribution  is 32% and the  effective  contribution is  14,8%,  3) there is corellation between interpersonal intellegences with cognitive learning achievement  of biological  lesson of XI IPA student?s grade of SMA Negeri 3 Sukoharjo in academic year of 2011/2012, with the  regression coefficient is 0,175, the relative contribution is 25,6% and the effective contribution is 11,8%. The three aforementioned corellation are considered as significant and positive valuable. They have 46,2% contribution to learning achievement of biological lesson. Each of independent variable that is metakognitif achievement, verbal intellegences and interpersonal intellegences has contribution to dependent variable, that is learning achievement of biological lesson. Student achievement at biological lesson as much as 53,8% is affected by other factor. Abstract

This article  examines the role of the school principal as a learning leader in strengthening teacher professionalism at SMP Batik Surakarta. Teacher professionalism plays a crucial role in improving the quality of education in schools. Therefore, the school principal has a significant responsibility to motivate, inspire, and lead teachers in developing their professionalism. This study employed a qualitative research method, utilizing data collection techniques such as observation, interviews, and document analysis. The respondents consisted of the school principal and 10 teachers  from SMP Batik Surakarta. The research findings demonstrate that the school principal plays a central role as a learning leader in enhancing teacher professionalism. As a leader, the school principal provides clear directions and a strong vision to the teachers. They also offer relevant professional training and development, facilitate the exchange of ideas and best practices, and provide constructive feedback to assist teachers in improving their skills and knowledge. Furthermore, the school principal creates a collaborative and appreciative culture within the school, where teachers can support and work together to achieve common goals. The school principal also ensures the availability of adequate resources and a conducive learning environment for teachers to carry out their duties with professionalism. This research concludes that the role of the school principal as a learning leader is crucial in strengthening teacher professionalism at SMP Batik Surakarta. By taking this role seriously, the school principal can motivate and guide teachers to become more professional in their teaching, which, in turn, will have a positive impact on the quality of education in the school.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the increase in cognitive learning outcomes in science subjects of class VIIA students at SMP Batik Surakarta in the 2020/2021 academic year through the application of the online Discovery Learning model.This research is a Classroom Action Research with the research subjects of class VIIA students in the 2020/2021 academic year totaling 29 students. The data collection technique used a cognitive learning outcome test instrument. The research was conducted in 3 cycles. The analysis technique uses a comparison of learning outcomes. The results of classroom action research carried out through three cycles showed that the application of the discovery learning model could significantly improve students' cognitive learning outcomes by 93.5% of students could achieve completeness of science cognitive learning outcomes in energy material in life systems, this was also accompanied by an increase in average. -a grade learning outcomes. As much as 6.5% of the students were still incomplete due to network constraints and the inactivity of students in following learning in accordance with the provisions.
