<![CDATA[ABSTRACTTooth loss is one of the problems that occur worldwide. The pattern of tooth loss has been studied in various countries, the documentation regarding the pattern of tooth loss can provide a view of the prosthetic needs and methods of prevention in a population. This study aims to determine the pattern of tooth loss in patients with removable partial dentures in Dental Hospital, Dentist Education Studies Program, Faculty of Medicine, University of Sam Ratulangi. This type of research is a retrospective descriptive study with cross sectional design. The research sample is patient dental records from January 2015 until November 2016 with a total of 54. The pattern of tooth loss is recorded and classified per the Kennedy's classification. Results found is that 14 men (25.93%) and 40 women (74.07%). In the maxilla showed class I were 21 patients (46.67%), class III were 16 patients (35.56%), and class II were 8 patients (17.78%). In the mandible, class I were 43 patients (79.63%), class II were 7 patients (12.96%), class III were 3 patients (5.56%), and class IV were 1 patient (1.85 %). The conclusion of this research is that the pattern of tooth loss was mostly either in the maxilla and mandible is the classification of Kennedy class I.Keywords: pattern of tooth loss, Kennedy's classification ABSTRAKKehilangan gigi merupakan salah satu masalah yang terjadi di seluruh dunia. Pola kehilangan gigi telah diteliti di berbagai negara, dokumentasi mengenai pola kehilangan gigi dapat memberi pandangan tentang kebutuhan prostetik serta metode pencegahan pada sebuah populasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pola kehilangan gigi pada pasien gigi tiruan sebagian lepasan di Rumah Sakit Gigi dan Mulut Program Studi Pendidikan Dokter Gigi Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Sam Ratulangi. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan ialah penelitian deskriptif retrospektif dengan desain cross sectional study. Sampel penelitian Rekam Medik pasien mulai dari Januari 2015 sampai November 2016 dengan total 54. Pola kehilangan gigi dicatat dan diklasifikasikan sesuai klasifikasi Kennedy. Hasil yang ditemukan ialah 14 laki-laki (25,93%) dan 40 perempuan (74,07%). Pada rahang atas ditemukan klasifikasi kelas I sebanyak 21 pasien (46,67%), kelas III sebanyak 16 pasien (35,56%), dan kelas II sebanyak 8 pasien (17,78%). Pada rahang bawah, kelas I sebanyak 43 pasien (79,63%), kelas II sebanyak 7 pasien (12,96%), kelas III sebanyak 3 pasien (5,56%), dan kelas IV sebanyak 1 pasien (1,85%).
