Abstract

Fruit is a source of natural antioxidants are most plentiful. This research aims to analyze the ability of fig fruit (Ficus benjamina Linn.) to scavenge 2.2-diphenyl-1-pikrilhidrazil. Ripe fig fruit macerated with ethanol for 3 × 24 hours and evaporated. Ethanol extract of fig fruit then tested for free radical scavenging activities and changes colour is measured by Spectrophotometer UV-Vis. Ethanol extracts of Ficus Benjamina. Linn. shows IC50 of 40.36 μg/mL.

Abstract

Research on the virgin coconut oil transesterification reaction catalyzed calcium oxide has been carried and determination of its characteristics include physico-chemical properties, analysis of reactions results using infrared spectrophotometry and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GCMS). The purpose of this research is to study the transesterification reaction catalyzed calcium oxide and find out its characteristics. VCO transesterification reaction catalyzed calcium oxide was carried out for 3 hours at a temperature 7 with a catalyst of 1%. The results of this reaction have as much yield ; 39,89% and the alleged characteristic change due to new ester that is, density 0,88 g/mL, kinematic viscosity 2,73 mm2/s (cSt), acid number 0,59 mg KOH/g, ester number 148,43 mg KOH/g and peroxide number 4,27 mek O2/kg. The results of infrared spectrophotometry analysis showed absorption bands for ester and GCMS analysis gave the peak of the compound suspected as ethyl ester with three peaks which had the most abundance in the form of ethyl laurate 58,32%, ethyl myristate 16,82% and ethyl palmitate 6,92%.

Abstract

Berbagai spesies tanaman Kalanchoe telah digunakan secara luas untuk bahan baku obat tradisional dan juga sebagai tanaman hias. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian lanjutan dari pencarian senyawa metabolit sekunder dari tumbuhan Kalanchoe Indonesia. Daun segar Kalanchoe pinnata sebanyak 6 kg diekstraksi dengan metanol pada temperatur kamar sehingga diperoleh ekstrak pekat metanol. Ekstrak pekat metanol selanjutnya dipartisi berturut-turut dengan n-heksana dan etil asetat. Ekstrak semipolar kemudian dilakukan isolasi senyawa flavonoid dan dihasilkan isolat berwarna kuning melalui berbagai teknik kromatografi. Struktur kimia isolat ditentukan berdasarkan hasil analisis spektroskopi UV, IR, MS, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR serta perbadingan data spektroskopi yang diperoleh dari literatur dan diidentifikasi sebagai senyawa flavonoid yaitu 3,3’,4’,5,7 pentahidroksiflavon atau kuersetin.

Abstract

The terminal alkynes hydration reaction on 17α-ethynylestradiol (1) with FeCl3 catalyst mediated by dichloromethane aims to determine the reaction products produced and to conduct a Markovnikov regiochemistry study through the proposed reaction mechanism. The reaction conditions were carried out at a temperature of 50oC (48 hours) and 60oC (19 hours), the separation of the reaction properties was carried out using Gravity Column Chromatography, and the reaction products were identification using by Proton Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (1H-NMR). Here we describe the process of the FeCl3 catalyst forming a coordination complex with the terminal alkyne, which is then addition by nucleophilic water following Markovnikov's regiochemistry to finally produce the product of a methyl ketone, 17α-acetylestradiol (6). The catalyst used is a cationic ligand coordinate, where Fe3+ is a Lewis acid and Cl3- acts as a ligand. The dichloromethane solvent used can also increase the reaction rate.

Abstract

A research on physical and chemical parameters on clean water in Lalumpe village, Kombi district has been done. . Water sampling is done by purposive sampling method. Samples were taken 2 times and then analyzed the physical and chemical parameters in the laboratory of Balai Teknik Kesehatan Lingkungan dan Pemberantasan Penyakit Menular Kelas 1 Manado. From the research results, clean water samples are categorized well and feasible to use because all parameters both physics and chemistry are analyzed below the threshold quality standard required based on the standard of environmental health standard for water media for sanitary hygiene purposes

Abstract

Ficus Benjamina Linn. is a plant that can be used as a source of antioxidants. This study aims to determine antiradical activity and total antioxidant capacity of extracts and fractions of Ficus Benjamina Linn. fruit. Fruit of Ficus benjamina Linn. which has been dried is macerated with methanol. The maceration results were then evaporated to obtain a thick extract of methanol. The extract was then partitioned to obtain the n-hexane fraction, ethyl acetate fraction, and water fraction. Antiradical testing of extracts and fractions of Ficus benjamina Linn. fruit using 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl and testing total antioxidant capacity using the phosphomolybene method. The results of the anti-radical and antioxidant analysis showed that the ethyl acetate fraction was the most active fraction. Ethyl acetate fraction showed IC50 value of 63.55 μg / mL and the total value of antioxidant capacity was 127.05 ± 1.62 mg / gram AAE.

Abstract

Nowadays the need for antioxidants is increasing. Advances in technology and sciences encourage an increase in the number of free radicals and oxidizing compounds. This study aims to measure the total antioxidant content of the ethanolic extract of beringin (Ficus benjamina Linn.) fruit. Measurement of total antioxidant capacity begins with extraction by maceration. The freshly picked banyan fruit is macerated using 95% ethanol for 3 × 24 hours. Maceration is carried out at room temperature and kept away from sunlight. The macerated filtrate is then evaporated to get a thick ethanol extract. The ethanol extract was then measured for its antioxidant ability using phosphomolybdenum assay. Measurement using UV-Vis spectrophotometer. The measurement results showed the antioxidant activity of ethanol extract is 43.73 mg / gram AAE.

Abstract

One of the plants that are used to regular treatment is behind the wind (Mallotus sp.). Traditionally this is used for the relief of pain and increase stamina by way of boiling the seven pieces of young leaves and drink once a day in the morning. This research aims to know the acute toxicity of ethanol extracts of leaves behind the wind (Mallotus sp) against larvae of Artemia salina Leach BSLT method. The research method used is qualitative analysis of chemical compound and Brine Shrimp Lethality Test (BSLT) method with post-test-only control group design. The results of research on ethanol extracts of leaves behind the wind showed the value of LC50 of 32.061 ppm, so can be said of ethanol extracts of leaves behind the wind on this experiment of acute toxicity has on the larvae of Artemia salina Brine Shrimp method using Leach Lethality Test (BSLT).

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is an effect of the Group Investigation learning model on student learning outcomes in understanding chemical bonding material. The research method used is the experimental method. The sample in this study were students of class X IPA 2 as the experimental class and students of class X IPA 4 as the control class. Each sample consists of 24 respondents, and the total number of respondents is 48. The data collection technique is the post-test. The post-test data analysis of the two groups used the t test. The results showed that the value of tcount was 4,399> ttable 1,717, so it could be concluded that there was a variable effect (X / group investigation) on the variable (Y / learning outcomes) so Ha was accepted and H0 was rejected. So it can be concluded that there is an effect of the Group Investigation learning model on student learning outcomes on chemical bonding material at SMA Negeri 1 Tondano.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between the online learning process during the Covid-19 pandemic and the science learning achievement of class X SMA Negeri 2 Tondano students. The online learning process is a teaching and learning process that is carried out online and interactively by utilizing information and communication technology, such as computer media with the internet as the delivery and recipient of the material. The research design used is correlational, with data collection techniques in the form of questions (statements) questionnaires and the average value of report cards using 20 students as samples. Tests carried out to prove the hypothesis were carried out by simple linear regression analysis, Pearson Product Moment correlation and t-test. The results of the regression equation obtained are Y = 0.2634x + 68.519 with a correlation value of r = 0.693 in the level of strong relationship, and the results from the t-test are tcount = 4.080 and ttable = 2.100, meaning tcount > ttable at = 0,05, the correlation between variables X and Y is significant, meaning that there is a strong and significant relationship between the online learning process during the Covid-19 pandemic and the science learning achievement of class X SMA Negeri 2 Tondano students.
